J Rotherham

Our incredible story begins in the early 20th century, with our founding by master mason Henry Rotherham. The company was later handed down to Joseph Rotherham senior, who inherited his father’s unquestionable skills and ability. Joseph Rotherham senior learnt the traditional crafts of stone masonry until he went to serve with the Eighth Army Anti-Aircraft division in the Second World War. Returning from war he settled in East Yorkshire and built a reputation as a first class craftsman. In 1973 Joe Rotherham junior joined him and began to expand the company, especially its technology base, which is now one of the largest and most advanced in the global industry. We have been going from strength to strength for four generations and today J. Rotherham is one of the oldest and most respected stone masonry companies in the United Kingdom.
