These guys are incredible. As soon as we met Martin we were convinced Kart was the right fit. Our project consisted of renovating an old Victorian house and adding a new extension. We wanted something contemporary and interesting that would also work for our family. Throughout the process Martin and the team were amazing to work with, helping us to navigate lots of different challenges as they came up. We moved into our new home about 9 months ago and we are still blown away every day by how beautiful and considered the house is. Kart made our experience an absolute pleasure. We encourage anyone who is looking for an architect to consider Kart.

As first time home owners, we were looking to make the most from our 'renovators dream'. We engaged Kart Projects for our modest renovation and working closely with Martin, he was able to turn our rough ideas and a tired, disfunctional layout into an open layout and practical storage and clever detailing, whilst adhering to our budget constraints. The process of undertaking an architect was one we enjoyed and in the finished project we enjoy even more. The before and after is something that makes us proud in what we achieved and positive comments from friends and visitors reassures us we made a good investment by involving Kart in our project.

We employed Martin and Karen to design a small low cost house for Kate and her 2 children. They seized the challenge and Martin, listening very carefully to Kate's needs, produced a simple small liveable house with beautiful spaces and outlook onto the garden. We particularly liked the attention to functional simplicity and detail. Karen and Martin are professional in all they do. Their communication and presentation skills are excellent. From day one issues pertaining to cost and procedure and project management have been very clear and well managed which we have appreciated.

Kart Projects has created an amazing home for us. The project was 2 townhouses in an upmarket area. Martin cleverly designed the 2 to look like one property from the front to maintain the streetscape, with each having a unique design. Each townhouse is light filled, with high elevated ceilings giving a great sense of space. They both are designed to maximise the space available without compromising on quality, with special but different features. Martins helped us create houses that were designed to be flexible and accommodate downsizing baby boomers or families wanting to send their children to the nearby primary school. Martin included 2 outdoor decks/spaces in each townhouse to provide different places to relax – in the rear to be more private or to the front to catch the northerly sun. The inclusion of an internal courtyard in one of the properties is definitely a “wow” factor. Martin included timber on the exterior as a special feature enhancing the contemporary design and this feature is continued into the entry of each townhouse as a feature wall connecting the interior with the exterior. He had excellent knowledge of the latest trends and finishes, and a good feel for what would work and what wouldn't. We had .a great relationship with Martin. With his consultative approach he listens to clients and adapts their and his ideas into practical applications achieving the best results. He has innovative ideas and made our project very special, with suggestions about colour, finishes and design. He worked to keep the project within budget by proposing changes that did not compromise the design or feel of the property. We have a very special, high quality home that is unique, admired by all and so much more than we imagined. It was a pleasure to work with Martin and thankyou for our great home.

We have worked with Martin the director of Kart projects on several occasions. Martins documentation and understanding of construction is fantastic. Communication of clients needs and a clear understanding from the builders point of view are another of his strong points. WE look forward to working with Martin and the Kart team on many more successful projects.

Rebecca Naughtin Architect has worked with Kart Projects for the past 2 years on multiple projects. I selected Kart Projects to assist me whilst I wasn't able to work (expanding the family) as I knew they would be a reliable team that would compliment the skills of my own practice. The directors of Kart are excellent designers with a growing portfolio of work. They work hard with their clients to achieve the best results and offer a broad range of expertise.
