Kitchen Solvers of Southwest Florida

We have been involved with Kitchen Solvers/ Bonita Springs since 2021 contracting with them to plan and carry out a renovation. Originally scheduled for a simple tear-out and replace of our dated kitchen and powder room, our first of October start was delayed for a couple of weeks due to hurricane damage to our home. Now as we are about to enter the SEVENTH month of the project, there is very little actual progress to show for the time we have been displaced from our home; drywall has been repaired, and a partial cabinet installation has been carried out. This is not at all what the Blantons, who are accomplished at sales, led us to expect. Promises are made, sometimes repeatedly, and not kept. There is no such thing as a timeline or a schedule. Multiple errors in orders (custom cabinetry), or orders not submitted at all (22 interior doors) delayed things even more. Work occurs when a work crew or person is available, to date at the astonishing rate of once or less per week at our home. Inexplicably, the lack of communication, which would be the easiest of their problems to address, remains a significant concern. Messages receive no response. Calls are discouraged. And we are left with a home no closer to occupancy than when we left, at their request, at the end of October. We regret associating with Kitchen Solvers but hope the Blantons can find some solutions to their many problems so that others will not be so negatively impacted.

We signed a contract with Kitchen Solvers and paid 50% of the total major kitchen remodel in October 2021. That was eight months ago and nothing has been done to date. When I texted owner Jim (his preferred method of communication) in April 2022 for an update on the start date, he replied that he would have his office provide me with an update by the end of the week. That was two months ago and we have heard nothing. They have been doing a lot of advertising on the local radio station to hire them if you are “tired of your outdated kitchen or bath”. Working with Kitchen Solvers was a horrible experience. There were many mistakes and excuses all throughout the project and the project was completed four months behind schedule. Jim and Kim Blanton rarely communicated to us unless they wanted money. They often blamed each other, their vendors and their contractors for the many mistakes. They measured wrong twice, ordered the wrong materials, materials arrived damaged and were delivered six weeks behind schedule. Installation work was sloppy and had to be redone, workers left large messes behind, contractors didn't show when promised, excuses were rampant. Because they measured wrong, they had to cut into the wall to accommodate the wrong-sized cabinets they ordered. The project was completed FOUR MONTHS behind schedule with no apologies about the disruption to our lives. This is not an effectively run company; save yourself the headache and find another company to work with.

We were out of state for a major kitchen renovation and installation of new flooring and lighting throughout our home in Punta Gorda, FL—we thought it would be a difficult process. We chose Kitchen Solvers of Punta Gorda and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Kim and Jim Blanton, as well as staff Paul and Lindsay, were wonderful to work with. Kim was a pleasure to work with in the design process and Jim kept us up-to-date every step of the way, by sending pictures of the progress and being readily available to us when we had questions. From the first meeting with Jim and Kim Blanton, owners of Kitchen Solvers of Punta Gorda- we knew we had found the right fit for our kitchen remodel and entertainment wall project. From start to finish our experience was amazing! As the design person, Kim understood our vision and what we wanted to accomplish, always helpful and so friendly and easy to work with. When construction started and Jim took over with his crew, they were equally amazing. Always considerate, professional and easy to work with. Mike, our main construction guy- went out of his way to make sure things were done right and met our expectations- even if it wasn't something he was responsible for. Mike's integrity and character are rare in the service industry. Benjamin, the floor and tile guy was equally amazing to work with and the end result was excellent. With a team like this, which reflects Jim and Kim's easy going, friendly and professional style- the future is bright for this company! I would highly recommend Kitchen Solvers of Punta Gorda. The staff was courteous and efficient on every encounter. I hired this company to install Quartz countertops in my kitchen and the result is beautiful. They gave me the best estimate. The work was done without delays and from the Sales representative to the owner, all were involved in a job well done.

We did a full bathroom remodel. Everyone was very professional. Good communication with what was going on. Workers were very skilled. Tile layer Brandon was especially meticulous!! Great job all around!!
