Lorey and KBDC just completed a master bathroom remodel. It came out so much better than I originally expected. I would readily use Lorey and KBDC again and intend to for a kitchen remodel soon.

From our introductory meeting onward, we were impressed with Lorey’s careful listening and well-organized, step-by-step approach to helping us shape our project. We felt confident that we were in good hands. The subcontractors were a pleasure to have in our 1780 home, which presented some challenges that were met with expertise and good cheer. Our new master bath is both beautiful and functional.

We loved working with Lorey Cavanaugh because of one of her most endearing qualities: she is an excellent listener. From the very start of this process, she listened—from why we wanted to update our kitchen to what was important to us. She took the time to get to know us. When we weren’t always able to articulate what we liked in design, she was able to draw on what she heard and make suggestions that worked perfectly. She is also an amazing, talented designer. She can visualize what the new space will look like, and then work with her team to map out every detail and make it all come together. She contracts with true craftsmen who care about their work, so we are confident the work in our kitchen and bath is high quality and will last a long time. Having a Project Manager to manage the process was definitely a plus and lowered our stress levels. Lorey transformed an outdated space in our 1940s home to a beautiful, functional kitchen and bath that we love using and that fits nicely with the rest of our home. Lorey is professional, ethical, conscientious, creative, and a delight to work with. We give enthusiastic thumbs up and our highest recommendation!

I am in love with my bathroom — all is beauty, luxury, charm and voluptuousness [to steal from Baudelaire]. Lorey understood my vision — William Morris wallpaper/art nouveau vibe — embraced and enhanced it. She understands space and scale and makes the best use of both….and she’s wonderful to work with. Hiccups, of course, are inevitable along the way. Yet, for each one — something no longer available or on long, long backorder — Lorey same up with a creative, cost-effective solution that we ended up liking more than the first choice. Lorey is also adept at advising on where to spend money, and where to be more spare. And she surrounds herself with a strong, capable team of professionals. It’s little wonder she’s been in demand for more than 25 years.

It was a no brainer to contract Kitchen &Bath Design + Construction to remodel our Master Bath after they redesigned our kitchen a few years ago. The Master Bath was small and required a total gutting of the room as well as knocking through a wall and taking away closet space. The transformation is remarkable. We now have double sinks, heated floors, and a walk-in shower that would rival any 5-star hotel. As the renovation to the Master bath was finishing up we decided to expand the project and remodel a powder room as well. Lorey's team is truly exceptional. Each one of the team takes pride in their craftsmanship. It was a pleasure working with them on all 3 projects.

There was no question we would ask KB-DC to renovate our bathrooms after the renovation of our kitchen 4 years ago. Professional and personable, they are a delight to work with. Current with design trends, they are good listeners and respectful of our ideas. We were pleased with both design and construction. The work of their subcontractors was excellent. They often went above and beyond our expectations.

Lorey Cavanaugh and her team outdid themselves in the design and construction of major renovations to the kitchen and two bathrooms in our 70 year old house. The design is beautiful and functional, taking advantage of every inch of space available. The design flows so expertly it is hard to remember what the place looked like before Lorey worked her magic. The construction professionals were a dream to work with; highly skilled, responsive to unexpected issues (inevitable in a house that old) and willing to answer any question. We wholeheartedly recommend KB Design and Construction!

We decided to work with Lorey and her team after our initial consultation. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident right from the start, and continued for the entire project. Our kitchen was gutted down to the bare walls and then rebuilt following the very innovative design that KBDC created for us. The entire project lasted two months, and the project manager/designer, Paulina, worked with us every step of the way to ensure we were satisfied with the final product. We really enjoyed working with K&B-D+C. From the meticulous design phase to the incredibly organized project management of demo, construction, and finishing, they made the experience as pain-free and professional as we could have hoped for. Our new kitchen and dining room is beautiful! Lorey had great ideas both aesthetically and practically, and she was easy to work with. We love our new kitchen! Working with KBDC means partnering with true design professionals, single contact project management and contractors who put quality first. The level of detail in the design phase was outstanding and a truly necessary element of a successful project. Next up is the actual build, where you work with one extremely qualified project manager. All the the contractor scheduling, all your questions and concerns, go through the project manager who provides updates on how all of it is progressing with the project time line. We used Lorey and her team to redo the craziest bathroom in the world. the space had originally been a bedroom and in the 1980’s was converted into the worst bathroom ever. there was no storage, a mammoth hotel etc. Lorey’s design was a miracle. she was able to take this space in a 1939 vintage house and create two separate spaces. A master bath accentuating the beautiful windows and a separate laundry room with a pull out ironing board and drying racks. All of the subs were very good. And when I took issue with some tiling he came back and fixed it perfectly. The project did go over schedule time but there were some unforeseen events. And it turned out fabulously!
