We hired Kosta to complete a renovation of the common spaces of our condo building. Things started out well, but unfortunately quickly devolved. Kosta and his crew would not show up for days in a row. We could not get in touch with him after repeated calls, texts and emails. He installed the incorrect color tile on one level. He did not order materials for which he had been paid. He eventually was so unresponsive that we had to hire another contractor to finish the project, at a great additional expense. The whole situation was very stressful and unfortunate.

We hired Kosta's crew to renovate a full bathroom and a powder room for us. As you can see from the pictures, the finished product is beautiful. However, we had some communication challenges during the renovation and we did not always feel as though the crew was planning ahead. For example, we wanted the crew to use five panel doors to match the rest of our house. If the doors were ordered with enough lead time, the cost per door was minimal, but since the crew didn't order the doors until a week before they were needed, it cost us several hundred dollars more. In addition, one wall in the powder room is not square. Kosta claimed that the crew was following the existing line of the wall, but we would have preferred that they brought the issue to our attention prior to drywalling, as we would have instructed them to correct the angle and make the wall square. Finally, we noticed after the renovation was completed that the new toilet in the main bathroom was not functioning properly. We hired a plumber to snake the drain with a camera and we discovered there was standing water in the waste pipe. We tried contacting Kosta for a few months to have him fix the plumbing, but he was not responsive, so we shouldered the cost of the additional plumbing work ourselves. We were disappointed that he would not honor his labor warranty and remedy this issue.

I am an interior designer and I started working with Kosta because two other designers in my network sent him to me with glowing praise. Our work together started well. He was very responsive, competitive, and the work was done well. I sent him two additional clients and within the span of a couple months every project completely unraveled. He didn't show to scheduled appointments. He did not tell anyone when he was leaving town and did not put someone in place to answer questions in his absence. He did not represent the full scope of work to his subcontractors so the work is not done to its entirety or on schedule. He did not reach out and keep in communication with clients or myself, despite repeated efforts to connect via phone, text, or email. Even his subcontractors could not get in touch at times. Perhaps there is something happening personally that is affecting his business but the work that I've done with him across several projects still stands incomplete and without explanation or resolution. I will not work with him again.

Kosta's team did a lot of work for me, including drywall framing and repair, installation of recessed medicine cabinets, plumbing rerouting, and painting. His team was very professional and got the work done within my schedule. Kosta was always on site or available by phone if I had questions. They cleaned up well at the end of the job and left my house looking great. Will definitely be using his team again

The contract price was reasonable. The work crew arrived on time, took great care with moving furniture and prep other work, and then installed crown molding and painted to perfection. Konstantin Kosta is attentive to customer wishes and very easy to work with. I highly recommend his company for this kind of work.
