Our goal at Land2c is to develop exterior spaces that are highly useable that you find warmly appealing. A well-designed garden should enhance your home’s architectural style and provide seamless connections between your interior and exterior spaces. Finding and enhancing the ‘spirit of place’ is important for a garden to be truly satisfying. We are a small, two person boutique firm. Landscape architect, Tim, takes major responsibility for the connections between the interior/exterior flow, smooth connections throughout the property and the overall design elements. Kat, landscape designer, focuses on the plantings, decorative elements, and colors. We closely collaborate to meet the goals of each client. Our creative team at Land2c offers solid hardscaping solutions and winning horticultural expertise. We specify earth-friendly materials and horticultural practices. We select hardy NW plants suited to your specific site and combine them with interesting architectural elements. We provide you with the information to care for and maintain your new garden. There are many creative ways to achieve your goals and we offer you design alternatives. Everyone has a budget and we are respectful of that reality. Our collaboration should be enjoyable and stimulating as we develop your new landscape together.

Kat and Tim are a great team - creative, thoughtful in design and plant selection. They listen to clients' requirements and concerns and address these in the project design. They are both passionate about what they do; and it shows in the amazing landscapes they design.

We have worked with Kat & Tim twice over the last 12 years. They are both very creative and will easily work with you to design the landscaping plan you want. Kat does the plant design. Her first design for us created a beautiful shaded oasis in our backyard. The 2nd design was needed after we removed the large Sweet Gum tree in the backyard. This time she redesigned for our new sunny backyard. Kat has a natural gift for color, texture and size within her designs. We have loved and enjoyed both designs. Tim does the hardscape design. Prior to his initial design we had 2 separate patios. Tim suggested connecting them and designed a change that brought the whole yard together while still matching the old with the new. Both Kat & Tim are wonderful people, easy to work with and we highly recommend them to you.

The Land2c team were professional and easy to work with from the beginning to end. We are happy with the process from when they presented us with the first proposal to the end after we made some changes. We have just finished installing most of the hardscape and are looking forward to the new phase of installing the Landscape. The resource book of the plants and plant care which was prepared by Kat will prove to be invaluable as we care for our new garden. We highly recommend Kat and Tim.

I'm an architect and asked Kathy and Tim to design the landscape for my own Mid-Century Modern home. There were several difficult site issues to resolve and I wanted a Southern California, drought tolerant style. They responded with an amazing design that exceeded all of my expectations. The landscape looks amazing! Kathy & Tim are also wonderful to work with--responsive, thoughtful and fun. To top it all off, Kathy put together a binder with all of the plant information and care instructions. I'm recommending them to all of my clients.

We hired Kat and Tim of Land2C to improve access from our house to the lake on a steep hillside lot and to bring a fresh look to our severely overgrown and outdated landscaping. In the process, they also assisted in selecting an updated color palette for our house and cabinet and materials for a new outdoor kitchen. Kat and Tim are an excellent team. They complement each well and I appreciated having both of their opinions on design decisions. We received several hardscaping options during the design phase and a detailed master plan for the hardscaping prior to the start of construction. We also received a detailed notebook for the landscaping prior to installation that included guidelines for the installation, detailed notes on the plants selected for our yard and care instructions. I have used this notebook several times as a reference since the installation. Kat and Tim have been back to our house twice since the installation to offer their consulting services on areas of our yard that we continue to enhance. We would highly recommend Land2C for any residential landscaping project.

We had a sloping unused back yard. Land2C transformed it into a beautiful oasis. It is now a gorgeous, inviting additional room of our home. Land2C was very easy and fun to work with. Katherine and Tim are knowledgeable and creative. We are still in awe of what they designed for us. They listened carefully and asked clarifying questions to help us define what we wanted to achieve. Land2C delivered the project on time within our budget. We couldn't have asked for more! We have recommended them to others and would absolutely use them again!

My husband and I hired Tim and Kathy to help us plan and oversee the planting of a new landscape design at our new house. Both were extremely knowledgeable about design and enhancing trees, shrubs and plants that add color, texture and interest. Tim did an excellent plan for us and Kathy helped select the perfect plants. After six years, the plants have matured and our yard looks amazing regardless of the season of the year. We would highly recommend Land2c Landscape Architecture!

Land2c Lanscape Architecture, Kathy and Tim King, are always upbeat and professional. They continually worked above and beyond what we expected. When I had questions, I always knew that I could email them and that they would respond right away. Kathy would research plants, plant care, and any other support questions I had and she was there every step of the way with her expert assistance. We have worked with Land2c for 7 years and they have transformed our yard!! Tim's hardscape designs changed the entire look of our yard in a most creative and unique way. When they were out looking at gardens, they would send photos for us to look at and ideas to consider. They are fun to work with! Last summer our garden was on the Woodinville Garden Tour and we were featured in the Seattle Times. Although, my husband and I did much of the labor, the design credit is entirely a Land2c success. I do not know the exact cost of the project because we worked on the acre for 7 years, hardscapes and plants but most likely the $10, 000 to $49,999 range.

In addition to doing large-scale garden design and architecture projects, Land2c is an excellent provider of garden consultation and small projects to people with established gardens. Kathy King, my friend, neighbor, AND landscape designer, suggests aesthetic improvements that never would have occurred to me, such as replacing the globes on my deck post light fixtures with something more Craftsman-like. This small, inexpensive, easy-to-implement change dramatically improved the look of my deck, house and garden! She does annual fine pruning on my treasured Japanese Maples and other showpiece plants that I lack the skill, patience, and expertise to do myself. She has also designed and planted beautiful containers of flowers for me, and recommended and scoured the nurseries for replacement plants when my garden needs refreshing. Kathy is a pleasure to work with and I enjoy sharing my passion for gardening with her!

We hired Kat and Tim of Land2c to renovate the landscaping of our 60+ year old home. Changes had been made over the years but it was seriously outdated, overgrown and downright ugly. We wanted a fresh Northwest look with a subdued palette that was bird-friendly and drought tolerant. Tim and Kat are a great team and love what they do! Tim designed the master plan including hardscape changes (paver paths, poured concrete steps, and a screen for our recycle bins). Kat creatively designed and selected plants for our site. They worked closely with us to make sure we got what we wanted. Because I wanted to be involved, Kat even took me to nurseries to choose plants and to a pottery vendor to select pots. They worked with sub-contractors and closely supervised their work. When the project was finished, Kat provided a detailed notebook with information on each plant and its care. They were wonderful to work with and we are so happy with the results! We would highly recommend Land2c for any residential landscape project.
