Lee was very punctual and professional. He provided great insight and suggestions. Both projects were a success and I would be happy to hire him in the future or recommend him to others. He provided two designs. One design was for an attic recording studio and another for an all-seasons room.

My husband and I hired Lee for a complicated kitchen renovation and a room addition. He developed a breathtaking design that also dramatically increased functionality and flow. Lee is a good listener and incorporated everything we wanted. He also offered ideas that never would have occurred to us which even further enhanced the project. Our expectations were definitely exceeded and we couldn't be happier.

We are so glad that we were able to use Lee's services once again at our home -a backyard pavilion project! He was very professional by taking notes on what my husband and I were hoping to accomplish. He asked many intelligent questions and never tired from our lack of clarity or the process we needed to go through to get a good picture of what would be best. He considered many aspects of the project…. Space redesign, color schemes, lighting, furnishings, storage,etc.. The project was fully coordinated between Lee and our contractor, Thomas J. Pearson. The process proved to be smooth overall. It was pure joy seeing the old replaced with the new. We extend our gratitude to Lee’s commitment and exquisite living area that he created for us. The pavilion is lodge-like, warm, functional, very well fitted to our wishes and requirements. Looking back, we did meet several times– he’s a good listener, asked appropriate questions – and our conversations became collaborations. His proposal satisfied the city’s code constraints as well. We got a storage room, a shaded outdoor living space with rustic charm and clean lines with a wonderful view of our deck and yard., This has transformed our back yard. Kudos to Lee and Tom for a job well done!

Lee Constantine helped facilitate a discussion on design options for a major renovation of our home. We did not know exactly what we wanted to do, or what could be achieved within our budget. Lee asked many, many questions, listened, took pictures and then came back with designs that showed us options we had not considered. This helped further define our desires. Lee was very committed to helping us see options within the existing footprint of our home, and would gently remind us of our choices when our wants were exceeding our budget range. Working with Lee has been a delightful process of discovering what we really want in our dream home and how we can achieve it. He provided contact information for builders and interior designers to facilitate those discussions as well. We are now in the process of finalizing plans and the next step is to finalize construction drawings and Build! We are excited to continue to work with Lee on this project.

We used Lee to consult on a fairly complicated master suite renovation in our historic home. Lee was professional, courteous, and gave us three potential floor plans - all of which were excellent options. He was very thorough and provided a custom design plan for us for a bathroom vanity. I would highly recommend Lee.

With nearly 20 years in on rehabbing a 1924 bungalow in an historic Indianapolis neighborhood, I'm experienced in hiring building-related professionals for the major work (total kitchen redo, total bath redo, foundation work, adding an interior staircase). Adding a garage that was connected to the house by a breezeway was a sweet vision that I held onto as the more urgent house repairs and upgrades took place. By early 2015, the time was right to begin this (nearly) final major project. Past projects had taught me that builders expect professional drawings and plans rather than my amateur renditions, so finding an architect was the first order of business. After reading reviews on Angie's List and Houzz, and making a few calls, I quickly determined that I was going to hire Lee Constantine of Constantine Design Group. From the beginning and throughout the project, Lee was friendly, polite, and honest. From the first conversation, I was impressed with the way that Lee listened and asked questions. Soon, he came out to inspect the site and listen to my plans. Lee took note of my rudimentary drawing of the project, and listened as I explained the flooding problem in the alley and other special concerns. Shortly after that meeting, I had a quote for the work which seemed right in line with what I'd researched for architectural design work. I was ready to get the ball rolling at this point, but Lee was booked at least a month out! There was a slight delay on when he was available to begin working for me, but Lee kept in touch with me about an anticipated start date. In the interim, I took his advice and got a professional land survey done. Hadn't anticipated needing a land survey. Turns out that land surveyors in Indianapolis were also swamped with work at this time - another unanticipated delay. As soon as he became available, Lee and I met a few more times and exchanged lots of emails. He took measurements, patiently explained zoning requirements, the variance process, complimented some of my ideas and gently explained why a few of them probably wouldn't work. Yet, he would always add "but we can do it that way, Lisa, if that's want you want". Can't stress enough how much I appreciated the respect that Lee showed me throughout the process, and his endless patience in listening and answering questions. The plans that I got from Lee reflected that he listened to what I wanted, and what was best to do from a building perspective. I hadn't taken into account the pitch of the breezeway roof, or how the sunlight into my back kitchen window and view of the sky would be affected by the placement of garage's roof, just to name a few considerations. Lee offered to handle the variance seeking process for me, but kindly advised me that I could handle the process myself and walked me through each step. I'm convinced that my variance application sailed through the approval process because of Lee's professional drawings. He had anticipated all of their concerns, and I got compliments from the professionals at the Department of Metropolitan Development on Lee's work. Close to the end of the project, Lee asked me if I would be OK with him sharing my project with a few contractors that he thought would do a good job. I was thrilled with the idea! I ended up hiring one of them, and he's doing a superb job. What's super impressive is that Lee is still in touch with me, asking how the builder is doing and if I'm pleased with his work. He's even driven by to see how things are going! It is worth every penny to hire a quality professional to do quality work. There were no disappointments in my experience with Lee, and he was a pleasure to work with. I was pleased with everything he did, and believed he went above and beyond in helping me. I recommend him highly.

We hired Lee to design our dream farmhouse on 16 acres outside of Indianapolis, and while I don't normally gush, I just can't say enough good things about him both as a person to work with and as a creative professional. The design is a perfect mix of modern amenities and old-fashioned charm. Every subcontractor has complimented us about the level of detail in the drawings, and his attention and foresight in that regard is making the building process incredibly smooth. I can't imagine using a draftsman after going through the experience of using a licensed architect... the extra expense was more than paid for by the square footage we saved through his creative design. We interviewed architects on the north side of Indianapolis and found them a little too extravagant in personality and taste for us. If you want an immensely talented creative professional who is down to earth and easy to work with, Lee is your guy.

I've know Lee for a number of years, Thomas J. Pearson, Inc. has worked with Constantine Design Group, Inc. for over 6 years now on a number of homes. Lee stands out from other designers on his approach to not only the design but construction of the home as well. CDG's work is sympathetic to the preexisting home making the new addition/renovation blend seamlessly together and still giving it that new remodeled feel. Lee communicates effectively with his clients allowing him to more properly understand their design goals. He does an excellent job working to help design their dream space.

Lee was fabulous to work with. He took our "concept" of taking 3 rooms (small kitchen, nook and enclosed butler's pantry) into 1 room and created a beautiful yet functional plan for our kitchen demo/remodel. We really appreciated his attention to our budget and our desire to retain the vintage, Irvington feel to a brand new kitchen.
