If you would like your furniture to be delivered to a warehouse in the wrong city and to have more than 30% of your order to be the wrong furniture then Lucy Penfield and Lucy Interior Design will be the perfect designers for you. We ordered five pieces of bedroom furniture from Lucy during the Spring of 2021, totaling more than $80,000. The furniture was finally delivered in January, 2023 but to a warehouse in the wrong city! As of May, 2023, Lucy continues to “kick the can down the road” with promised shipping dates that come and go. We still do not have our furniture four months after it was delivered to the wrong warehouse. To make matters even worse, when we asked for photos of our furniture to try to assess any damage the pieces may have incurred while sitting uncrated for four months in the wrong warehouse, we see Lucy ordered the wrong beside tables. On April 25, 2023 Lucy acknowledged that the nightstands that she ordered are wrong. We immediately asked for a refund for all amounts we paid Lucy for the botched nightstands. Two weeks later we still have no refund. We have never encountered the level of incompetency that we have experienced with Lucy and her firm.

Working with Lucy was the best decision we made when remodeling our home. Lucy and her team are amazingly talented and delightful to work with. Every single person we have encountered during this project (from architects, to builders, job site supervisors, and furniture vendors) has been thrilled when they find out we are working with Lucy Interior Design. Lucy and her team are creative and professional, but they are also incredibly unassuming, approachable, and FUN! Their energy is truly infectious to the entire team! They have taught my husband and I a LOT about design and have encouraged us to take chances we never would have considered on our own. Lucy has helped us prioritize our design decisions and investments, allowing our home to grow and evolve with our family over time. Her work is timeless, but current, and we really couldn’t be happier with our beautiful, toddler friendly home! We recently decided to remodel our cabin, and Lucy was the first phone call we made! Thank you Lucy, Stephanie, and the entire LID team!

Lucy and her team joined the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show as a Feature partner for the Tiny Home Village as the Interior Designer. The Village was a feature created to showcase the tiny home community with five different homes. We wanted to take it a step further and really show attendees how these homes could be lived in, which is where Lucy came in. Lucy took on the project of designing and creating a themed spaced within each of the tiny homes using cb2 products. Lucy and her team took on this project to its entirety and made each tiny home truly feel like one anyone could immediately live in. They took the time to make sure every product fit with each individual theme giving the homes an extra wow factor when attendees walked through the door. The dedication to make this project great paid off because it looked phenomenal. As a show, we’ve heard nothing but positive feedback from attendees and exhibitors. They went above and beyond all our expectations. Their team is so creative and committed to what they do. If you haven’t worked with Lucy and her team, you’re truly missing out. They are some of the most caring and thoughtful partners we’ve worked with. We hope we get to work with them again soon!

Her projects are unique, always have an interesting vibe, and layered with color and texture which the camera loves. In person Lucy is as incredible as her work ... she is positive, fun, creative, smart, talented, and a wonderful person to be with.

I have worked with Lucy and her team for over 10 years on a variety of projects for my home ranging from accessorizing and updating to a complete remodel of my kitchen/family room. Lucy is one of a kind - her design sense, sophistication and ability to quickly assess your needs and wants make the entire process both seamless and enjoyable. Lucy's team is equally talented, responsive and always one step ahead. I highly recommend Lucy Interior Design.
