We have just completed our second project with Macars and are extremely pleased with the results. I found the service to exceptional. I was on a tight budget, and they helped me with a design, and cabinet manufacturer to meet my budget. They had some great suggestions for space utilization that I would have never thought of, and the end result was better than I had envisioned.

Shawn was great to work with. He helped this indecisive customer make the right decisions. Our bathroom looks amazing. We ordered tile on a Wednesday and received it Friday.

Macar's was central in our remodeling of our second floor bathroom this spring. My husband and I first met with Shawn at Macar's in early January 2018. We explained our decision to transform our outdated and senior unfriendly bathroom by removing a bathtub/shower, replacing it with a tiled shower stall, adding a washer/dryer combo in an already wasted space, replacing the main fan/light fixture, and adding a light over the washer area. Shawn was supportive and instrumental in leading us to the most impressive contractor we have ever worked with, George Spazianni. Once we had George on board, we met again with Shawn again and chose our tile, flooring, and fixtures. Later we decided to replace the pedestal sink with a vanity and the old toilet with a new higher toilet. By then, April couldn't come fast enough. Enter George on April 2nd. For five weeks George, and sometimes his helper Matt, worked continuously each day, literally gutting and rerouting and repairing plumbing to accommodate the major changes of a central drain for the shower and a washer as well as electricity to the new dryer. Each day when they left, the house was left as neat as it was when they started that morning. The transformation was amazing! The bisque subway tiling is expertly done with personal touches by George who suggested different contrasting tile framing to soften the transition from tile to wall. Finally he finished the regular walls with white wainscoting and moldings and a gracious gray paint for contrast. His patience and attention to my wishes were topped off by recycling our original medicine cabinet and lights, reinstalling the louvers on the bottom of the window, and creating a space for an antique vanity built by my grandfather. Overall, this experience and lasting result are due to the positive professional support and work of Shawn Fountain at Macar's and George Spazianni, whom we recommend without hesitation.
