We had recently moved to the Atlanta area from Florida and had no realtor that we were dealing with. We came across a home for sale we were interested in looking at from a local website. We called the listing agent, Mavis Anderson, who was more than happy to show us the property. The home was listed as a short sale and needed quite a bit of cosmetic updating, as it had stood empty for more than a year. We could see the potential of the home and the fact that it had everything on our wish list, so we decided to take on the challenge. Any time we wanted to come and look at the home during the purchase process (which was many), Mavis was so accommodating to meet us. She was extremely helpful in getting us through each stage of the sale. Beginning with the owner's, all the way through closing day. Everybody knows how Short Sales can take so much time to get approved and closed; however, we made our offer in mid May and our closing date was the first week of July. We thought that was pretty fast. Mavis kept us apprised on every step. If she said she would call us back on a certain day, you could guarantee that call. We have since referred Mavis to other buyer's looking in the area. If we ever need another realtor, Mavis Anderson will be the one we call.
