Melissa Sacco graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. In her pursuit for design innovation, Melissa designed an award winning table that received recognition by NYIT, and was displayed in Washington Square Mall, Solar Decathlon 2005 while in her third year of studies. As a pioneer with a natural talent for originality, Melissa also received the honor of having the piece displayed in the Museum of Modern Art, the Jacob Javits Center and the Marine Academy, all in the heart of the fashion industry, New York City. At Melissa Sacco Designs we are not just about design and working for you. My experience with Melissa left a lot to be desired. She came over for our initial consult, asked me what I wanted and proceeded to give ideas that didn't take any of my wants and needs into account. I kept expressing that her ideas didn't really reflect what I wanted but she didn't alter her ideas at all. Instead she went on to mention how another client also had to give up some of their wants in order to work with her, and how sometimes you have to give things up. She was combative the entire hour and a half of our consultation and went on to email me a quote for thousands of dollars to continue working with her. Not only isn't she talented but she is completely on her own agenda. Don't waste your time or money.

She put together fabrics, papers, paint, window treatments, area rugs and furniture and gave me many options to choose from. My husband and I contracted Melissa Sacco Interiors to help us decorate our family room. We typically gravitate to a transition style in neutral colors and wanted someone who could push us outside our comfort zone while remaining true to ourselves. Melissa prepared a number of options for us to consider and showed us how we could draw on the same style and colors we have always liked while using more daring pattern combinations, accents and fabrics to make our family room really pop! In the end, our family room went from drab to fab and now looks like it’s been staged for a Houzz photo shoot. In fact, we are so pleased with our new family room, Melissa is now working on our living room and dining room and we can't wait to see the final results.
