Monarch Gardens is a growing Marin County business, founded in 1994 as CM Design, and owned and operated by husband and wife team Dave and Carolyn Anderson. We are a licensed Landscape Design/Build company, a community-based business committed to serving and employing people in the San Francisco Bay Area. At Monarch Gardens we keep up with current issues, innovations, and trends in the industry. We have extensive knowledge of local climates and habitats. We approach each garden with fresh eyes and open minds: Our designs honor the contours of the land and our clients’ imaginations. We work with your preferences for color, texture, and style so that the resulting garden is a reflection of your own vision and aesthetic. We coordinate our landscape design with the architecture and interior design on the property, thus creating outdoor living space that complements your interior living style. We map each site and develop several garden design overlays to spark your input on final design decisions, including: specialty gardens such as edible, children’s, cutting, bird and butterfly, deer, fire, and drought-resistant gardens.
