Nicole Rickey, Nicole Rickey Interior Design, is a life saver! We call her our little Design Guru! This was our first truly custom build and it was our dream home, well it IS our dream home and without Nicole’s masterful skills at not just design but at reading us and grasping our vision it would not have been nearly as beautiful, and definitely not as much fun! Nicole has a gift of design and a wonderful ability to listen to what her clients needs are even when they don’t know exactly how to express them. My husband retired from the Air Force last year, and after 23 moves in 28 years we finally are blessed to be building our dream home! It sounded glorious and I was certain after so many homes I would be a master at this! Oh my goodness, It is so much more stressful than I ever imagined it could be! Our builder, Q5 Custom homes, builds homes designed by Brent Gibson Classic Home Design, and Nicole is their primary designer, and also Brent Gibson’s daughter. We first met her dad and her husband, Shane Rickey, at the onset of our project when they worked to modify one of Brent’s lovely floorplans to perfectly meet our needs. Shane took our ideas for the plans to a new level and we were thrilled with our plans and the process. It was our wonderful impression of Brent Gibson Classic Home Design that led us to seek out Nicole to be our designer. That was one of the best decisions we made for the entire project! Her absolute professionalism and humble personality gave us the confidence to make decisions and to trust her to guide us to some new ideas that we love! She went with us on several meetings with the builder and the sub-contractors and when the questions started flying I was able to step out of it and let her “speak their language” and guide all the decisions. Many times, what could have been wrought with anxiety, immediately turned to joy and confidence that our dream home was going to be a reality! And, it is!! Our home is beautiful and we could not be happier with our decision to work with Nicole. Her expertise brought our dreams to a reality!
