O'Connor Brehm Design-Build

We purchased our home in late 2016. My wife and I looked at multiple properties, but many of them felt like big boxes and lacked character. However, that's not the case with an O'Connor Brehm homes! The attention to detail and architectural styling of our new home is truly amazing and one of kind. Furthermore, they were a pleasure to work with and and honorable with respect to their commitments. Our kids were home this summer from college, and we happily entertained friends and family. It's been wonderful to have a home where everyone feels comfortable and welcome!

My wife & I worked with O'Connor-Brehm designing and building an addition to our 1927 Tudor home. The addition to the home was significant and we came to Brehm Architects, given their experience and success in marrying homes design aesthetic with updated modern amenities. Greg Brehm, and Project Architect, Tim Hawkins, have an excellent design eye and even more important, they are great listeners. During our meetings Tim would always capture even the most mundane or minute details that we mentioned. When we met with him and Greg, we gave them a VERY rough idea of what we wanted and the two of them really brought our vision to life. Pat's attention to detail and organizational skills were unmatched. He was seamlessly able to bring to life Greg & Tim's ideas. Pat was in constant communication and always provided timely updates. We were at ease (or as much as you can be) when Pat was in charge of our project. I can't speak highly enough of O'Connor-Brehm. They are true professionals and their word is as good as gold. My wife & I would recommend him to anyone looking to build a new home or update/renovate their home

Greg and Pat turned our basement from a run-of-the-mill basement into a beautiful "man cave" as my wife calls it. They completely gutted the basement and went from there, adding a wine cellar and media room and reconfigured our entire lower level. Greg's design was just what we wanted and the construction, overseen by Pat, was flawless. Everything is beautiful. We're very happy they did the job. They are very easy to work with. Recently, Pat came to our rescue, solving a problem we had. We'd highly recommend O'Connor Brehm.

We hired O'Connor Brehm to design and build our house. We chose them because we felt their homes were timelessly elegant and blended well into the surrounding neighborhood. Equally important, their understated professionalism was enormously reassuring and we found it to be helpful throughout planning and construction. The process of building a brand new house can be stressful. However, we were able to complete the project with a minimal amount of stress, on time and on budget. We enjoyed working with O'Connor Brehm and would recommend them without reservation. They were trustworthy and accommodating. Our house was completed a few years ago. Incredibly, when we call them with questions, our calls are still returned promptly and they're always happy to help. Most importantly, we're thrilled with our new home. It is a perfect haven for our family.

In 2011 I contacted Greg Brehm, Brehm Architects, regarding a home that he had designed. It was our hope to have Greg design a similar home close to our downtown. One lot we found wouldn't accommodate the home we desired so our sites turned to a potential tear down. Greg provided guidance for my presentation with the village, however village rules at the time prevented us from moving forward. In October 2011 we found a home that had been built in 2006 with an unfinished basement and ended up purchasing the home with a Jan 2012 closing. We contracted with Brehm Architects for the design and over the next 3 months we worked closely with Greg and his team on our lower level design, finishes, as well as other upgrades/ enhancements for the home. We then contracted with O'Connor Brehm custom homebuilders on 1/06/12 to execute the build. We closed on the house early Jan 2012 and scheduled all work to be done prior to moving in. With our plans already submitted to the village, we received our building permit immediately following our closing. Over the next four months the O'Connor Brehm team did an outstanding job of project management. All of their subs who worked on our home were top notch and a pleasure to have on our site. Regardless of the issues that arose, I always had the utmost confidence in the O'Connor Brehm team. With our last items on our punch list completed the week of 4/24/12, my wife and I moved into our new home with on 4/28/12. I have nothing but the highest regard for the quality of design by Brehm Architects as well as the attention to detail of O'Connor Brehm. I would highly recommend both companies for a new home design/build or renovation of an existing home.
