The project was a complete renovation of an early 1970 estate home. We were able to salvage a few items from the original home, but for the most part, it was a complete tear down to the studs and joists. We remodeled the home to the standard and elegance it deserved. We purchased the home and wanted to complete the project in just over one year. We were going to design and renovate the house at the same time. A renovation of this scale requires thousands of timely decisions. This is where Patricia came in. Patricia brought forward many design elements to help us determine our taste in design. She would make recommendations, but was OK if we went in a different direction. She listen to us, made suggestions, took our suggestions and worked with them until they hit the mark. During the renovation, we lost count of the number of drawings and edits she made along the way. She understood the premium quality we were paying for and worked with the trades to deliver it. She helped coordinate between us, the general contractor and the trades to resolve the challenges. She often helped to manage our expectations, frustrations and excitement. She provided very detailed binders of drawings, specifications and instructions for the trades. Often the question was already answered if you looked in the binders. Patricia is very considerate of your budget. Patricia often had recommendations to achieve the requirement, look or effect we were hoping for economically. She has many contacts with whom she introduced us and often passed along additional savings. Importantly, Patricia is fun to work with! She is friendly, not pushy and very knowledgeable. Her expertise extends into many areas of the design and renovation profession. She is genuinely interested in you and your project.
