We'd give 6 stars if we could! We hired Patti to finish our basement and remodel our master bathroom. Our project was extremely complex. We were creating a walkout in the basement where one didn't exist before. Well, our exterior contractor did a shoddy job and bailed on us halfway through the project, leaving us stranded. Patti came through for us with her wide network of contractors and they squeezed our project in at the last minute. Without Patti, we would have had to face some pretty serious consequences. But aside from that, this was our first time hiring a designer and Patti has spoiled us for anyone else. Not only was her design better than ANYthing we could have imagined, her attention to detail and exacting standards during the construction and finishing meant we could leave the whole thing up to her and know we would get nothing less than perfection at the end. She and her team were exceptional throughout the process.

We were amazed to see the results of our friends’ main floor renovation at their Mount Albert home. It had the open, casual yet elegant feel we were hoping to capture in order to transform the tired builder grade kitchen in our 33-year-old home. They enthusiastically recommended Patti Wilson Design for our project. In the first of many meetings, Patti spent the time to really listen to our needs and craft a main floor plan to reflect our transition from busy family to semi-empty nesters. I can’t say enough about the magnificent job Patti and her team did in the design and complete rebuild of our Triplex in Newmarket. Her floor by floor designs were expertly planned and resulted in the best use of space in each of the three suites. Her recommendations on materials and finishes were simply outstanding, and very importantly, were selected to meet our budget. Patti is an excellent communicator and regularly provides updates on progress and budget implications. She is detail oriented in both interior (and exterior) design and the financial management of your project. In summary, Patti’s design sense is second to none and I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in the very best for their home or investment project. Over the last year we have had the great fortune to work with Patti Wilson Design on the renovation of our main floor and basement. My wife and I were looking for a professional who could help turn our home into the dream home we always wanted. From a structural design perspective, Patti created a kitchen centric plan that transformed the main living space. Her sub-contractor team performed exceptional work, and Patti regularly engaged with them to make sure that the work was being done to her high standards of quality. Throughout the project, Patti continued to communicate and collaborate with us on the vision of our renovation including detailed task calendars and budget reconciliation reports. Patti was a fantastic help to us. We started our renovation with some ideas, and Patti helped bring them to life. She heard what we were looking for and gave us 3 options for our kitchen and we loved all 3. Patti's suggestions were a great help and she and her team were very professional to deal with. We engaged Patti after over a year of interviewing various contractors, design engineers, and DIY "experts" on what to do with our fixer-upper. Patti cut right to the chase in terms of helping us identify our wishes, budget, and priorities. She priced out all our options then worked with us to narrow our scope and determine our working budget. Patti made recommendations and suggestions that fit with our style and yet pushed the limits of our imagination, resulting in a fabulous open concept main floor "urban farmhouse" design. Without her vision we would never have come up with such a warm, inviting, comfortable space. Besides transforming our main floor living space, we also relied on Patti to manage all aspects of our renovation project which included a complete exterior redo, new windows & exterior doors, flooring, interior doors, baseboards, and trim throughout. Patti works with high quality trades people and the workmanship on our project was exceptional. We hired Patti to design and manage our main floor reno project and we weren't disappointed! We couldn't be happier with the quality of the finished product, and Patti kept us up to date every step of the way. She has high attention to detail, and insistence for perfection from her contractors. Everyone who visits our house now is stunned by the new design and of course we love our new kitchen! We came out just above our budget, however that was due to one furniture piece we added on during the final weeks. We also need to mention that Patti and her team went above and beyond (by doing things like stopping in and letting out our dog while contractors were over for measurements) to ensure we weren't overly inconvenienced in the weeks before the project.
