Payless Kitchen Cabinets

This is the bathroom Payless Kitchen's and Baths did in our home three months ago. As you can see there is no flooring, toilet, vanity. That's because when Payless did the bathroom the employee who put the toilet in didn't seal it so it there has been a slow and steady leak for three months. Once the flooring was removed it took 3 days for the sub floor to dry out so it could be repaired. We bought new flooring and had it put in because 3 months of water under the flooring harmed it. Also the faucet for the new sink, the coating is chipping off, same for the shower rod that Payless installed. So I'll be buying a new faucet, a better quality faucet that the coating won't chip off of, and a new shower rod. Payless could have made things right from the beginning (3 months ago) but the company chose to ignore us. This is the last company in the U.S. that I would recommend to any one.

Here are the facts. I own ten unit apartment building on the Westside of Los Angeles. I contacted and met with Dena from Payless Kitchens to discuss a bath remodel for all 10 units. Dena was wonderful and worked hard to obtain our business. We were off to a good start. Dena agreed to remodel one bathroom to "earn our business" as we were concerned about the three day turnaround. I have a formal 20 page quote from Payless and was working out one last detail before making the deposit. I then received an email that Dena had a family emergency so I gave her time to sort through her emergency. After a week went by, I contacted Payless to find out if she was OK and how to proceed. Shortly thereafter I receive a call from Avo the owner. His demeanor was unpleasant from the time we started to speak. He informs me that Dena is no longer with the company. I would expect the owner to apologize for this adjustment in personal and work to keep my business. Not the case. He asked the nature of our business and I went on to explain what Dena and I had worked out. When I mentioned that we would start with one unit to confirm their three day completion time, he went on to accuse me of using him for a quick cheap turnaround and that I would have no intention of doing the other nine apartments. He was rude, accusatory and would not stand by his sales managers quotes and commitments. He said, "I will not work with you or your building. Do you know how much business I have? I don't need yours!" So on one hand I am furious for wasting months on this remodel however on the other hand I DODGED A BULLET with this clown. I am so appreciative this happened now and not when I had tenants in hotels. RUN RUN RUN from this company.

I had a miserable time with Payless kitchens. They get a zero not 1 star from me. They promised to be finished in in 3 weeks but it took 5 weeks instead. The electrician had to change outlets and work plans 5 times because there measurements and work plans changed. The backs plash had to be redone due to the tiles they installed were not centered. The plumber had a hard time with installing the drain line because the center island was not installed to code and charged me extra. The exhaust fan and refrigerator barely fit in the space they left between cabinets. I still have an opening under my sink which they did not close off. They did not give me all of my pull out drawers and did not credit me. They're contractors did not show up 2 times for work which moved all the other contractors back. There is a lot more but I would be here all day typing so all I can say is do not use this company.

Payless kitchen advertised great prices and they were lower than all the other contractors we asked. They do say that those prices are only valid for their first visit, so make sure you're ready to sign up when you have them show up to measure and create a plan, but they're worth calling because they've got lowest prices we could find, the work they did was perfect, and everything was a very organized package service. The cabinets and countertops are really great and were measured and installed perfectly. They worked with us helping us find all the options we wanted. They rushed to meet deadlines we had from working with other contractors, and they were happy to help us even though we changed the layout and options several times during our project. They even met us at a slab yard to show us the different full countertops when we had trouble deciding from the samples. I would absolutely use them again for any future kitchen project.

Payless kitchen Cabinets did an excellent job on my kitchen. For years I dreamed of having a kitchen that looks like the displays in the stores - and that's what PKC did for me! Quality services, prices and staff. I highly recommend their services!

Ask for Walter. He is an incredibly detailed oriented guy, is very patient as well. He will walk you through all the fine details. He was in a professional in working with us and we highly recommend this company. We worked with Carlos as our PM, and he is such a great guy, very kind and patient with our questions and concerns. He set up all the schedules for the cabinet and counter teams to come out. Arayik the cabinet team leader was great! He worked hard to make things right. The countertop team is amazing, so skilled and everything turned out better than we expected. We felt that every one from this company has been professional, diligent and hardworking, and delivered an excellent experience and product.

Thankfully, some close friends had just had a complete remodel on their kitchen and couldn't stop raving about the company they used, Payless Kitchen Cabinets. We set up an appointment and Haig the design specialist came out to meet with us. Haig was great to work with, he listened to what we wanted, worked with our budget, and understood the timeline we needed things to get done by. Haig genuinely cared about what we needed and we felt like we could trust him, so we decided to move forward with him. It turned out beautifully. Haig, Caroline and their installation teams were great to work with, our home is completely finished & ready for our baby due late this summer and we owe a great deal to our friends for recommending Payless Kitchen Cabinets!

There are not enough words to adequately express the gratitude and satisfaction we received working with the team at Payless Kitchen Cabinets. Some of the lowest prices in the market was obviously the first attention getter, but setting up an apt with Dvaq and seeing the quality of the product, there was no doubt we found the right place. At our first meeting, he provided us with some preliminary sketches and great design ideas. We had already compared two other companies, and honestly felt ready to move forward with Dvaq. We were then introduced to our coordinator, Carlos. Carlos is one of the most patient individuals I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, he listened without ever interrupting, accommodated some of our additional requests and provided excellent service. As the project progressed, we ended up changing some of the design elements a few times. Carlos provided his expert advice and asked very relevant questions to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Carlos was really so easy to work with. Whenever we needed something, he was very quick to provide it. Payless Kitchen Cabinet is the right choice and I wholeheartedly recommend and refer them to anyone looking to remodel their kitchen. And there is no one better than Dvaq & Carlos to be on your side when you tackle such major decision and project as a kitchen remodel! Dvaq’s calm presence helped to remove all the stress and anxiety of making such a big decision. Carlos’s attention to our needs helped reassure us that we made the right choice, and we love our new kitchen!

I was convinced to go ahead with Payless Kitchen Cabinets because of their clear process. They mapped out exactly what was going to happen with the project, it was a nice, clean, guiding map that reassured me that they knew what they’re doing. I called other companies, and they HOUNDED me after I met with them asking if I’m ready to move forward with them. It was the opposite with Payless, they contacted me, made sure I was feeling comfortable, never pressured me to make a decision, and that warm and welcoming attitude is what set them apart from the rest. The organization of how things were going to go is why I decided to hire a company rather than follow the DIYers, it’s a lot of different things, and I really wanted the guidance and support of a professional. This company adhered to their process and made this remodeling experience a very positive transformation. From the demo team to the backsplash team, I got to deal with organized, well trained, experienced professionals that respected my home and my needs. Thank you for your help.

Had been looking for what seemed like forever to remodel my LA house kitchen. I had a very limited amount of time to get my remodel done, and the crew at Payless Kitchen was top notch. Sean was patient and went the extra mile to assure everything would go smoothly from his initial visit. They stuck to their word and completed my kitchen in three weeks and it came out amazing!! Caroline was informative and easily accessible during this process. I was very hesitant to hire a general contractor, after having a bad experience once before. The fact that Payless has its own crew and doesn't use sub contractors for any aspect of the work was reassuring. Really just want to say thank you for making this a pleasant experience. Would highly recommend.

I visited their showroom back in September, they're local to me and I wanted to see what they were offering. I found their ad on LA Times, Glendale is about 15 min away so I went to check it out. I was immediately greeted and welcomed by a friendly receptionist, they even made me hot coffee while I took a look around. They have a nice showroom, full of showcases and samples where I wanted to touch and get a feel for the products I was going to purchase. They were the nicest company I contacted, it's almost like you have to keep calling the other companies to get an estimate, with payless I got follow up and communication. I set up an in home visit, they sent an email confirmation letting me know who's coming over - also a plus. Sean was the specialist who gave me the estimate for the kitchen.. So far I had contacted 5 companies, and only 3 got back to me.. I felt comfortable so I decided to go ahead with Payless Kitchen. I got Caroline as a project coordinator, she introduced herself the very next day - she helped coordinate our schedules, and my kitchen was completed in 4 weeks, there was a repair that needed to be done after the kitchen was completed, but as soon as I called, I was transferred to Caroline and she scheduled the repair. My wife picked beautiful options for countertops and cabinets, we love the colors put together. It's honestly gorgeous, it really opened up the house and made our kitchen somewhere the family wants to spend time in. I've shared before & after pictures to see the difference of how our dark kitchen turned into this beautiful open bright space. I'm really happy with the service and the end result, I've told my neighbors about Payless Kitchen Cabinets, I found a company I can trust that will do quality work at a price I can afford.

I have recommended Payless Kitchen Cabinets to everyone I know who is considering a remodel. The day Avo arrived, my home was in a bit of chaos with cleaning ladies, handymen and a few neighbors stopping by. Regardless, Avo remained patient, polite, jovial, and professional. He spent as much time as I needed without rushing or pressuring me at all. He offered suggestions, answered all my questions, put my doubts to rest and I felt more than comfortable signing a contract that very day. He patiently offered a variety of materials to use and assisted me with professional suggestions. My project manager was Carlos who was equally as patient and accessible. All my concerns were immediately addressed and handled. If there was one small item it would be that Israel and his team could have cleaned up better and were occasionally late, but things happen. I actually go into my new kitchen every morning and hug the granite counters...still can't believe this is my beautiful kitchen. The price was unbelievably fair with many extras added free of charge and all my concerns met. The time frame was also unbelievable.....having been through kitchen remodeling in a prior home I truly expected them to go over their 4 week time frame but no.....finished on time. I could not be happier and highly recommend Payless Kitchen Cabinets.
