Outstanding job, that's the review. We bought a house in Magnolia/Seattle at the end of summer 2019. We had a lot of work we wanted to to do over the winter to be ready for Summer 2020. We interviewed five firms. After reviewing each proposal carefully, we chose PCS because of the thoroughness of the proposal and because of the reviews they provided from previous clients. We had high expectations, and they over-delivered on them, across the board. Scott and his team are unflappable. Ours was an old house and they came across so many "surprises," but Scott never called me to tell about them without an answer in his pocket. We have built many homes, we have remodeled several. This was our best experience, bar none. From plumbing, to electrical, to hardscaping and landscaping, to lighting, tile, wood floors, drywall/plaster remodeling, and major infrastructure like foundation/water line/sewer line work, they got it done and on budget (although we expanded the project and therefore budget as we went, and he allowed us to do that). We look back and say to ourselves "we really got lucky making that decision to hire PCS."

We hired Paulsen Construction for our basement remodel. Our basement was a very technically challenging project as it required the foundation to be dug down 12", which was below the neighborhood water table. Due to his expertise in this kind of work, we hired him to oversee the project. The scope of work included removing the foundation, digging out over a foot of soil, de-watering system, new sewer lines and complete rebuild of the basement. From start to finish, he and his team were professional, knowledgeable and technically precise. His subcontractors were also excellent and provided a high level of quality. We appreciated Scott's "high touch" involvement and appreciated his perspectives and advice as we worked through changes and edits to our plan along the way. At the eleventh hour, we decided to add a full kitchen remodel to the project. Without skipping a beat, he made it happen. Scott is honest, fair and trustworthy, which is hard to find in the construction industry. We had to move out for 6 months, we never once felt worried about what was going on in our absence. Scott delivered an incredible final result, beyond our wildest dreams! He finished on time, on budget easy to work with. We have increased not only the value of our home, but also our enjoyment of our new spaces. He won't be the cheapest bid you will get, but he is incredibly fair with his price and the superior quality work you will receive will more than out weigh any cost savings from a cheaper contractor. 5 Stars for Paulsen Construction! Scott of Paulsen construction extensively remodeled our house eight years ago. We were extremely pleased with our remodel: the quality, and detailed service he and his crew provided. He has continued to respond and help with any additional needs we have had. Scott is an excellent communicator and a hard working, expert General Contractor. We highly recommend his work!

Scott Paulsen and his team have performed work on our home for the past several years. Scott has provided us counsel on a number of difficult projects on a high end home we remodeled in 2000. Several aspects of the remodel were poorly done and Scott has been invaluable in helping us correct some serious problems, including a poorly installed roof that leaked and nearly ruined some priceless woodwork in the home, and areas that were not constructed properly, collected moisture and resulted in rot and destruction of valuable window casings and exterior and interior walls. Scott fixed all of these with his crew and with other contractors he managed as our general contractor. Scott's team met their proposed completion dates and their budgets. Costs were very fair for the quality provided. Scott has also purchased furnace and refrigerator replacements for us and managed the installation to ensure it is done properly with a reasonable markup on his cost to purchase the items. We highly recommend Scott for performing and managing all aspects of home construction and repair. His work is very high end quality! We greatly depend upon his expertise and service.

Scott Paulsen is a talent design~builder. We hired Scott to do a complete house re-model and re-construction of our 1937 farmhouse. He did an awesome job, has impeccable taste and our house continues to receive the highest ratings available for building/construction & details for home appraisals. The quality and craftsmanship he demands from his team is unmatched. Scott Paulsen is easy to communicate with and always has multiple solutions to review with his clients. I would rate his work as an A+.

Paulsen Construction worked on a main floor remodel at our home .Including radiant heat floors, a new kitchen and bathroom,and home office.Scott also assessed a wall of older french doors that were leaking and causing water damge in our walls and floor,Paulsen Construction replaced them with a superior product as well as superior installation of the French doors. We are extremely happy with our remodeled home.Paulsen Construction employs wonderful subcontractors,the quality of the work that was done at our home was excellent!! We love and enjoy our home ..we feel a sense of comfort ,warmth and esethetic pleasure whenever we walk in the door into our house!!

We did a significant remodel of our home and could not have been happier with Scott Paulsen and his team. Scott is the ultimate professional - respectful, honest, conscientious, skilled, and experienced both in the construction business and with construction processes in the Seattle area. Every subcontractor Scott hired followed his lead, and we felt completely comfortable with each worker that was in our home. We were particularly pleased that our project was completed in a timely manner from start to finish. Scott never left us "high and dry." He communicated with us daily and kept things moving along. We would highly recommend him and in fact just a couple months after the interior remodel was completed, we asked him to manage a sewer project for us. We will continue to stay in contact and know we can trust Scott to help when needed.

Remodel of house. Repairs on other houses. Replacing kitchen, bathrooms. repairing water damage, concrete work. Work was always done extremely well. Any holdups always explained, and I was informed in timely fashion. I was always given alternative solutions. Scott and his team are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They have always responded quickly and efficiently. They get inspectors out quickly and there are no holdups in the process. He isn't the cheapest, but he gets it done right and if there is a problem he'll get it fixed. Also comes up with solutions that may work better than what you knew about. I recommend him without reservation.

Scott provided an excellent and comprehensive plan for our remodel. He gave weekly detailed updates and was flexible with change orders. He has really really good sub- contractors. He's a good listener and communicator.

Scott was professional, reliable and always straightforward with his estimates, plans and schedules. His workers where very respectful of our house and our needs. We could not have picked a better contractor to redo out house. Every day we enjoy living there and Scott made it all possible.
