During COVID we purchased a home in Okotoks by viewing it remotely with our Real Estate Agent (as we were living in Ontario at the time). Our agent was amazing and helped us find a home that would work for us. Before we actually saw it in person ourselves (which happened 2 months later on the day we took possession), we sourced and interviewed a few contractors online. We felt comfortable with Jake and scheduled a walk thru with him, his designer and our real estate agent with us remotely. We got a sense of what we wanted to accomplish and luckily for us Jake and his amazing contractors were ready to start the day after we took possession. Our very large ensuite and master bath were both totally gutted and redone, along with new paint and trim in the master bedroom, and the removal and replacement of all broadloom for the stairs and entire upper level. The entire project went without a hitch, which we highly attribute to Jakes ability to coordinate all necessary trades people. A few months later we reached out to Jake as we found even more changes we were wanting done this time in our kitchen. Once again, thought a relatively small job, Jake was able to coordinate and have the work done in short order. We wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Jake again in the future as well HIGHLY recommend him for any renovation's or new projects.

Jake and his team of designers, tradesmen and suppliers took over our acreage home construction project. Jake took this project from a walking disaster to an incredible country home. The workmanship and attention to detail is first class and is not easy to find in today's construction industry. Jake was onsite daily and occasionally grabbed the tools himself. In the end we received a superior product which was the direct result of Porch Lamp Homes team of dedicated professional people. I hired Jake to complete the build of my new home. He was able to trouble shoot out all of the issues we had faced and completed our product within our deadline. Timing was excellent. I'd like to start by saying you're not saving money by trying to manage a reno project on your own. Trust me I tried. I started with the exterior, roof, siding, windows and doors. We called Jake because the quotes we were receiving appeared to be high. They were. Upon hiring Porch Light with Jake's leadership he saved us 20K on the exterior alone. Jake sat with us and we made up a plan based on our wants and needs, he hosted a trades day and off we went. Jake and the trades he uses are exemplary professionals. Almost every inch of our home was replaced and redesigned and we couldn't be happier. Not to mention we were back in the house on the date Jake promised. Porch Light Fine Homes should be your go-to contractor for any renovation. We looked for contractors and asked three questions: Do they do good work? Can we trust them? and, Are they fairly priced? Porch Light was an unequivocal yes to all three (and we are very thorough people). The only one, I might add, out of six different (prominent) contractors we contacted that made us feel comfortable in answering all three of those questions. They were courteous, knowledgable, attentive to our needs and the details of the project, timely, and respectful of our space and our family. They have a great team of well-experienced, mature experts in every facet of the renovation, and each one of those team members added value to the project in their own way. They were upfront about pricing, upfront about what did and did not need to be done, and transparent on how the project was progressing. They made great choices and recommendations and we trusted their judgement completely. We couldn't be happier with our basement (a full build-out from nothing but a concrete floor), and the compliments we get on it are incredible. We've considered moving to the basement full-time, as it puts the workmanship and finish of the rest of our house (which was already fantastic) to shame. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Porch Light Fine Homes for even the largest of renovations, as I can't imagine our experience being improved upon, and especially not by one of the larger, more well-known names, for whom our project would have been an after-thought.
