Gabions are essentially rocks in baskets! Wire or welded mesh baskets are commonly filled with sandstone, bluestone or river pebbles. Our job was unique - stabilisation of earth adjacent to a rock cutting close to the house, under the main roof, and visible from windows. Access to the area was through a standard doorway, limiting equipment to barrows, shovels, and muscles! No aspect of the job was viewed as being a problem and Prospect Contractors provided outstanding service from the initial phone call and site visit through to job completion. Staff and construction crew were an absolute pleasure to deal with and the finished product is excellent. Prospect Contractors are THE people to approach for construction of a Gabion Wall.

We had a tricky spot near the corner of the house that required a 2m high x 17m long retaining wall. We didn't want a concrete one as it would mean digging into rock and we wanted it to blend in with the bluestone rocks in our creek bed. We loved the look of gabion walls and our landscaper recommended Prospect Contractors. They did the engineering and council approval for us too. The attention to detail was fantastic and we couldn't be happier.

Engaged prospect contractors as a point of difference to standard retaining walls. The promptness in them returning my initial call and then conducting an on site inspection was great and then to have the quote emailed by the next day (instead of me chasing it up) was in my experience unique. I was very impressed by the communication between their installation crew and myself regarding any issues they could see affecting access my block. My inquisitive 8 & 6 y/o kids went and bombarded them with questions and the boys couldn't have been more polite and accommodating. Upon completion they raked and tidied all stone chips from an already untidy gravel driveway.
