Every part of the home was carefully designed and constructed with stunning finishing touches (the light fixtures, master bath, and kitchen are particularly stunning). We use every part of the house, because the design is so thoughtful. In addition, they have been incredibly responsive and helpful as we have adapted to being first-time homeowners in the south. When I first embarked on my plan to build a home, I had no idea what I was doing. I just knew how I wanted it to look and had some vague ideas about how to get there. Pat and Casey at First Street Builders came to meet me at the site, having done their research before accepting the opportunity to quote out the build. They were able to articulate my vision, forecasting some of the hurdles and problems which we needed to solve before we started, providing some insight into cost-saving measures, walked me through various scenarios, and were genuinely eager to work on my special project. With any major project, there are always things that go wrong. FedEx may lose your plumbing fixtures or that tub you picked out is a snug fit in the master bathroom. Whatever faced FSB, through all the minor hiccups, the challenges of dealing with 2018's near-record rains, not to mention managing a feisty owner (me!), they remained dedicated to the job and executed the plan with grace and aplomb, delivering my beautiful home and doing so within my budget. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome, and I recommend you take a serious look at First Street Builders if you are preparing to build your own home.

My husband and I bought our lot and selected the plan to be built - The Sugarberry Cottage plan from Moser Design Group but had not yet found a builder. I found First Street Builders from their listing on Houzz. I contacted Pat and and sent him information on our project, we met, and to our great surprise, Pat agreed to take our project on! Pat and Casey executed this plan beautifully. The workmanship is such a high quality down to every little detail. We are very grateful to Pat and Casey for the work they did building this beautiful home (as well as their patience with me - a first time home builder). We would absolutely recommend First Street Builders to anyone looking to start a project like this. We never imagined that we would initiate the build of a new home from ground zero, but we would do it again in a heartbeat.

We recently completed a major renovation of our 1910 Bungalow where 90%+ of the house was taken down to the studs with an effort to revitalize our residence and provide a better flow of the living space with a well deserved update of square footage. We had a smooth and timely renovation from day one thru the move in date with our experience with First Street Builders as our custom build both met and exceeded expectations with a completion date that was on point. First Street managed the process of the varying construction phases as we enjoyed the consistent communication throughout the process to tailor all details to suit our taste of reincarnating an historical property with both a modern and efficient build out.

Nestled under 150 year old pecan and oak trees, my husband and I carefully and thoughtfully preserved and restored this rare 1928 Federal Style Craftsman near downtown Atlanta, while adding a new 2 story, 1,000 sf addition in the back. The addition, like the house boasts, 10 foot ceilings, yet it is sited in a way to seamlessly blend with the original house, without dominating the unique original structure. As architects, we understand that construction is also part of the design process, and we happily hired First Street Builders for this project. We made sure to engage them in a pre-construction service, when we were around 85% complete with construction documents. This valuable service allowed all involved to sit and talk about not only what we were going to build, restore, construction costs, and anticipated surprises that do occur with renovation, but also how we were going to build very specific things. Together we came up with some cost saving items, as well as some changes that improved the design and simplified construction. Construction lasted about 8 months, as renovations often do. The house is elegant, with old and new blending perfectly. First Street Builders provided excellent quality construction services throughout. FSB are quick to respond to client needs during the process. This project includes a complete exterior restoration, interior restoration of 5 original rooms including a bathroom, plus 1000 sf of new living space. The new addition includes a new master suite with master bath, new kitchen, pantry, family room, painting area, hallways, pantry, laundry area, new HVAC, insulation, floor insulation, and new floor structure where needed do to age. We also redesigned the back yard. This restoration and renovation is perfect for a family of four, and the ample amounts of natural light and living space makes it a special place for friends and family.

Pat and team were terrific builders for my new, contemporary home built in O4W. A month into the house you can tell how solid the construction is ... absolutely no issues with the home and the team has been really responsive with any questions I've had. I would definitely recommend them for any project.

Pat and his team spend a large amount of time thinking out every detail and the ripple effect it has before a hammer even touches a nail. They listen very closely to their clients wishes and help them incorporate their needs and wishes into the finished product, while always respecting the architect and the process. High quality of work. Not an easy restoration since it involved a mediterranean home from the 1930's. I am very happy with the end result.
