As an experienced and award winning State Certified Building Contractor with many decades of experience; I feel I must write this review for others to see about my recent experience with the firm “Reno by Tendenza Cucina” based in Doral, Florida. I came across this small showroom in Doral because we are in the process of a home renovation/remodel which includes a med to large total kitchen remodel. Our client was looking for the “Italian” look and “Reno” had the look and quality that the client liked. Well we started this basic layout and design phase early in November and provided them preliminary line layout design drawings with considerations of the room and client requirements for the accessories etc. Unfortunately for both our firm and our client they totally wasted our time for nearly a month, which in turn delayed the entire project for the same period of time. They really do not know how to layout kitchens at all, they do not listen to repeated specific requirements given to them in writing that are needed in the layout. They did not even bother to look at the provided specifications of appliances purchased so they would fit correctly in the cabinets or layout. Time and time again we requested certain basic items be changed on the layout and they just could not get it right. They even had the colors incorrectly spec’d out even though we corrected them over and over again. Finally this past week they asked me and our client to return back to their offices for a final review of the changes that had to be made to the layout yet again due to their repeated mistakes. When we arrived at their small offices no one was insight no one came out of the two small offices behind closed doors to greet us or to ask us to wait a few minutes… we were 5 minutes early. Finally whey they did come out of their offices to meet us in their small showroom. They had no changes to the plan to show us as they said they had, but instead wanted to inform us that the factory could not deliver until maybe April or May of 2019 (5 or 6 months) which of course is totally unacceptable and even if the client was willing to wait that long our experiences with the two staff members proved to both of us that they “lied” to us time and time again about almost every detail. Therefore I would expect that April or May would turn into mid-June at best. We then both left being very upset that not only will we need to start over which now causes delays to the project for the month we put into it with them (which should have only been a few days) but they made us waste nearly 3 hours of a work day to drive there and back for no reason at all. I could go on and on about their lack of interest in customer service, lies and incompetence but this review is too long already… Stay away from this firm at all costs….they are just simply horrible at every level of business. If I could give them less then 1 star I would, this was one of the worst experiences with any firm I have ever had in many years.
