Kevin gave us so much more than cabinetry. He created a space that embraces the history and character of our 1798 farmhouse in a way that is very personal to us - and a design that is exceedingly functional for creating delicious meals and providing a warm and inviting place for our friends and family to gather. Kevin has profound knowledge and respect for historic architecture and antiques, and the skill and care to execute pieces that have just as much character and patina as the furniture in our home that is hundreds of years old. From how the paint is carefully worn down around the door handles to mimic years of use, to intentionally creating the dents and marks that appear on well-loved heirlooms, his furniture tells a story and fits effortlessly into our home. Kevin is an excellent collaborator and worked hard to deeply understand our vision and inspiration for the space from hundreds of miles away. One of many examples is that we wanted our hutch to pull from the reds and browns of our brick floor. He created multiple samples, layering different pigments and using techniques to age the paint. The final result of the color and patina on this piece is totally unique and (like the entire project) better than anything we could have dreamed up. An incredible benefit of working with Kevin was that he introduced us to other artisans to complete our kitchen. From our contractor to the lighting, soapstone countertops and hardware - because of Kevin’s network, we ultimately ended up with the ‘Dream Team’ for our project. We would have no hesitation recommending Kevin as a collaborator on your next project. We can’t wait to work with him again.

My cabinets from Kevin Ritter of Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry were just delivered and they are even more beautiful, unique and well crafted than I had imagined. To say I am delighted would be an understatement. Although not yet installed, everyone who has seen them so far has remarked on their quality, and the artisan touches that are difficult to find nowadays . A lot of my friends have had their kitchens renovated recently, and even though they all have expensive custom cabinets, they look mass-produced. Kevin's cabinets are hand crafted, and they look it. Surprisingly, they cost at least one-third LESS than the pre-pandemic price I was quoted by a local custom cabinet maker in Philadelphia, even taking into consideration the cost of shipping the cabinets from Tennessee. The price was also nearly identical to the estimate Kevin quoted me in December of 2019 (note - the delay had nothing to do with Kevin). My entire experience with Kevin has been fantastic. I am a control freak, and sent him tons of specifications as to what I wanted, and asked a lot of questions. My kitchen is small (about 10' x 10'), so this was not a large job, but Kevin was always responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. He mailed me color samples of blocks of wood at least a half dozen times, until I found the exact shade I wanted. The cabinets arrived nearly completely assembled, including all of the doors and hinges on the cabinets, so I do not have to worry about my contractor correctly installing the amazingly cool "rattail" hinges. The shipping went very smoothly, took only a day, my cabinets arrived without even a nick in them, and the driver was on time, courteous and kept in communication along the way. Do not hesitate to choose Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry, no matter how far away from Tennessee you might live - you will be very glad that you did!

We are excited to share a bit about our tremendous and positive experience with Kevin and Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry. My husband and I searched for MONTHS for a kitchen island suited to fit an open space in the middle of our new kitchen. Our vision was for something special, with: craftsmanship, the look of furniture, great functionality, and a timeless sense of belonging. I spent hours online; scouted out home furnishing and specialty/custom furniture stores; including a kitchen design store. Finding the right size and detailing was a struggle. When we discovered Kevin's offerings and portfolio, it felt like we had come home. He listened to the ideas and asks, carefully assessed our space, and together we came up with the ideal size, features, and look that would make for a lasting treasure. Though already very busy, he promised the piece before the holiday season and "fit us in!" Throughout the process, he communicated proactively, gave great design advice, and gave us amazing options for hardware and the butcher block. He even hosted a visit to his workshop to hand select the finish and details. Kevin is truly a remarkable craftsman. We feel so honored he made time to share his talent with us and create such a defining piece for us to enjoy and use. Our friends, family, and neighbors (some with lots of carpentry experience) have opened drawers and doors and been truly impressed with his work too!!! Hire Kevin you will be so thrilled. Amazing work and I am super, super picky. Absolutely love our sassafras cabinets, island and second painted island that Kevin built for us. We really couldn't be happier with the design, craftsmanship, and professionalism. Hire Kevin. Don't hesitate. He is not only a great craftsman, but he really gets Design. This was very important to me. I worked with him over the course of at least a year getting my reclaimed Chestnut kitchen cabinetry design right from over 900 miles away. And it is absolutely beautiful. We moved from a larger home (circa 1720) which had an entire Timeless Kitchen, the hardest thing to leave (besides our neighbors) was the kitchen...When we downsized and moved to "in town" living, we knew that the only person to call for a kitchen hutch that would give us room for cookbooks and much more storage, was Kevin! Kevin Ritter was the perfect craftsman to build cabinets for our kitchen renovation. We wanted the kitchen to fit the aesthetic of our 1811 farmhouse but it also needed to incorporate all the modern conveniences and bells and whistles of high end contemporary construction. We wanted a very functional kitchen, not just a show piece. Kevin was able to deliver on all fronts. He was easy to work with and very open to our ideas throughout the project. Nine years ago Timeless Kitchen Cabinetry provided the cabinets for a kitchen addition to our 200 year old home. The kitchen is still a beautiful highlight of the house. The craftsmanship was superb. To show how particular we were, we obtained wood flooring from a 200 year old attic and bricks from old streets in Wilmington for the flooring. Four different Blacksmiths provided the hardware. So, we were very particular as to who to use for our cabinets. Nine years later, we still love them. They have stood up to daily use and still look wonderful and TIMELESS! The Ritters were a delight to work with. I highly recommend them!

We decided to hire Kevin Ritter based on his high quality/authentic colonial-style reproduction cabinetry and his high level of engagement and responsiveness from our first meeting on. Kevin put in a great amount of time making sure the design evolved to exactly what we wanted, while being highly functional. He was always willing to adapt any feature we desired and was very constructive in making sure all elements tied together well and were functional. He clearly liked the challenge of creating new pieces or feature based on our requests. His willingness to customize milk-paint colors to make sure we got what we wanted particularly impressed us. We found that working with him mostly via conference call and via email worked much better than we expected. With all the design work and interaction we were full of anticipation and had very high expectations. We are pleased to report that the kitchen Kevin built for us came together beautifully and amazingly exceeded those expectations. He completed our project on time and on budget. I hired Timeless Kitchen after seeing a spread in Main Line magazine. I was so blown away by what Kevin had done...I had never seen anything like it before. He and I got along great and our aesthetic was very similar. I love shabby chic and rustic but wanted a kitchen that also had a more modern, industrial chic and he got it totally. He helped me in almost every aspect of my kitchen design and was so great to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is a hard, dedicated worker who does everything he says he is going to and does it with a smile, and on time! Seriously, I am not exaggerating. I can't wait to post pics of my kitchen when it is all done. But I can say having just seen the completed cabinetry, that I am very happy!
