Erin is fantastic with desert landscape. She made a design plan for our property (over 1 acre) front and back. We are in love with the way things turned out. I like plants that can grow to a natural shape in their space without being trimmed into a ball shape. Erin really achieved that as well as designing a backyard Ramada / BBQ oasis. The small fee that she charged for the design plan was so worth it! She saved us much more than that on plants! Better to pay a little up front and design properly. We highly recommend her!

My wife and I selected Erin Hutton, owner of Rocket Garden Landscape because of her affiliation with and recommendations from the Desert Botanical Garden. We talked to Erin about preparing a water efficient plan for our front and backyard in June of 2017. It became apparent during our first meeting that she possessed the requisite knowledge for the job and also had very good people skills. She completed the first plan for the front yard in about three months. She visited our house on several occasions to collect the physical opportunities and constraints of our property. In addition she accessed public records for the subdivision plat and lot information in order to complete her background research. Her plan fit our budget and was delivered in a timely manner. Upon completion of the front yard plan she worked with us to select a landscape contractor to implement the plan. We have received numerous complements on the completed work and will not hesitate to recommend her for similar jobs. Erin has completed the backyard plan which when fully implemented will lower our irrigation demand and create a plant mosaic which will offer color and to the extent possible mitigate the arterial Street noise that is present during peak travel periods. We are now reviewing an estimate for her plan and expect to proceed with it later on this year.

Erin Hutton, of Rocket Garden Landscape Design, created a beautiful design for a public habitat garden. With a diversity of desert-adapted plants, this garden provides a hospitable habitat for plants, wildlife, and people. I am often greeted by hummingbirds and butterflies when I walk through this pollinator-friendly garden.

Erin was wonderful and a pleasure to work with ! We did a complete re-do of our back yard/patio and updates to our front yard. She was very knowledgeable about both the hardscape and the plantings; was a good listener; was honest; her plans and drawings were very thorough and professional and were delivered in a timely manner; she recommended a fabulous landscape contractor to execute the project.

I really enjoyed working with Erin from Rocket Garden Landscape Design. I wanted to re-design my backyard landscape. She took a lot of time to sit with me and listen to what I had in mind. Then she created a set of plans which exactly matched what I had described. She helped me pick plants and garden fixture that enhanced what I was trying to accomplish. Overall I had a really good experience working with Erin.

Professional from day one. She sat down and listened to my thoughts, then asked more questions to determine my expectations for our project. She presented various creative options along with an idea book to help me visualize her concepts. She created a working plan complete with specific plants I desired and additional complimentary ones to round out the concept. She provided beautiful drawings including a street view concept. The project was for our retirement home so except for our first visit, she worked with me from a distance. She was so helpful with presenting the necessary materials to the HOA, she provided a list of reliable contractors and even assisted in sorting out bids. She was honest, prompt and always ready with sound advice. We love her design and it was what we wanted it to be. Her fees are reasonable. She provided the option of a comprehensive plant guide to assist in maintaining our project to its fullest. Her knowledge of landscape design was evident every step of the way from start to finish. She stands behind her work and was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend Erin.

Erin was great to work with and affordable. We have not yet implemented the designs she created for our front and back yards, but plan to do so this summer.

I loved working with Erin! We did a do-over of my existing landscape, and it is coming along nicely. She took my lengthy wish list and was able to incorporate many items into the new design. She even accompanied me while we went shopping for pots! I love the new spaces and would definitely work with her again.

Erin has been my landscape designer on two different projects for my home - a large side garden (2011) and restoring my front yard (2016). She did a superb job on both. Erin was a pleasure to work with. She created a front and back yard landscape design for a home we own in Scottsdale, Arizona. All of our communication was via telephone and e-mail, and the fact that we were not able to meet in person was never an issue -- she's a great communicator, and very organized. She did a terrific job incorporating our suggestions to come up with a final landscape design. For an additional (reasonable) hourly fee, she obtained quotes to implement the design from three different landscapers. I couldn't be happier with her services. Update: The project is complete and it looks great! Erin worked with the installer at key points to make sure the design was executed as planned (well-worth the five additional hours of her time). Great follow-through! I have no reservations in recommending Erin for landscape design work.
