The Idea and Concept: After designing their friends’ homes, refurbishing their furniture they were about to throw out, organizing parties of all sizes (including their own overseas wedding), helping them to buy gifts for special occasions, shopping with them and styling them, all of Jenn and Jimmy’s friends said, “you guys should turn this into a business, and help other people like you helped us”. This is how the idea of Royal Hauteness, a high end service company of many facets started evolving. The Name: Royal: Born and raised in Belgium, Jimmy (co-founder) grew up helping his father, an interior decorator, whenever he had a day off from school or over the weekends. His dad built his company from the ground up, the highlight came when he was appointed to be the decorator of the Royal Palace. It is that one day, when Jimmy was painting the Princess’ room, when he realized how cool it would be to be treated like Royalty, even if only for one day. Hauteness: Born and raised in New York, Jenn (co-founder) started modeling at a young age and with that, she acquired a strong taste for and knowledge of Fashion and Haute Couture. Royal Hauteness: And here is where both worlds met…when coming home from work, Jimmy has the habit of greeting Jenn with ‘hello royal hotness’. So one night, at 3 AM, Jenn woke Jimmy up to tell him she had found the name for the business – and Royal Hauteness was born. The name describes their past, how they feel for each other, and more importantly, it describes the business model where, through a unique, easy-going process, they help their customers feel like they are treated like royalty with a boutique service that encompasses: Gifting, Fashion, Styling, Designing and Events.
