Susan is so creative, I’m so please with the design she created for my living and dining room windows. She kept us up to date on the progress of the order. Also, she had her painter remove the old hardware that was installed for the draperies we previously had up, as well as arrange for him to patch and paint the holes that were left after the removal at no additional cost. The fabric quality is top-notch, and the draperies flow so gracefully. She is such a pleasure to work with, and I would definitely be using her again for my next project.

I was looking for custom drapes in my dining room since I bought my house in June , last year . I checked online and consulted few companies but I was not convinced and satisfied with their offerings . Finally I met Susan in Dec.2020 . I was really impressed with her presentation of portfolio and the work she has done in the past . I liked her approach and admired her patience to listen to my needs. She well understood what I was looking for and suggested drapery options accordingly. The other great reason to work with Susan - she provided ample of choice in curtain rods design , which was missing in many other companies I consulted before. Our clubhouse underwent a sizable renovation this summer and we worked with Susan/Gailani Designs to design several new window cornices and draperies to complement the space. Susan was a pleasure to work with. She always showed up on time for our consultations, and was knowledgeable, responsive, and pleasant throughout the months-long process. Her customer service was excellent and any unforeseen problems that arose were dealt with quickly and efficiently. A combination of COVID-related ordering and shipping issues created a longer delay than we would have liked in completing the project, but Susan took every reasonable opportunity she could to minimize delays and keep us informed throughout. I worked with Susan from last summer into early fall. In the time that we worked together, I felt that this professional was a willing listener with plenty of ideas. The new bay window my husband and I had had installed months earlier ended up to be disappointing in wood quality and finish. Since there was no option other than to accept the installed window, I decided that window treatments with some “punch” would be key to creating a beautiful bay view. I read reviews about Susan and Galiani Designs, and decided to call her, despite the fact that I was worried Gailani Designs' award-winning status might place her out of my reach in terms of cost. Susan heard my concerns, while also trying her best to honor my budget. Her idea of creating panels made of gorgeous fabric, hung to either side of the window with interesting hardware, made the single biggest difference in the overall appearance of that bay, as well as changed the look of the entire dining area. Then, I couldn’t decide what type of shade I wanted on the window itself, and changed my mind after having samples sent. At no time was Susan impatient; she was encouraging and helpful. Susan wants her customers to be happy. I felt that she respected my choices, yet made suggestions when appropriate to do so. I could not be more pleased with the finished window treatment. I no longer notice the mismatched woods on the actual window frame, and absolutely love what we have done. Installation with Kary was quick, neat, and professional. I needed to redecorate a (former) teenager bedroom to be a guest bedroom – replacement of window treatment and addition of accent pillows. My guests were to arrive within a month when I had my first meeting with Susan. I was in panic mode. Thankfully, she was extremely patient and reassuring in the whole process. Susan was so on point with the choices that we made. They give my house that artistic feel that matches everything that surrounds it. I hired Ms. Gailani in December 2014 to design drapes for our dining room windows. She is a lovely lady. She came to our house immediately and was so eager and enthusiastic to design the kind of drapes that would enhance the decor of our room. I can tell that she is extremely gifted in her profession by the way she went to work sketching various drape ideas that I might like. My goal was to have beautiful up to date drapes that had a hint of Victorian romance. I must say she created the most beautiful drapes that just went perfectly for the dining room. Ms. Gailani had her installer put in the drapes in early January 2014. He was courteous, very professional and did a wonderful job. I was impressed when I noticed that he took down my old lace blinds that were still in the window and wrapped each one of them up neatly in plastic. I checked his work and the drapes are secured in neatly and firmly. The feel of the fabric is rich, unlike anything I could buy in a store. Ms. Gailani came for a follow up appointment to see how the drapes looked and whether I was satisfied. It's obvious that she wants her clients to be totally happy with her work. Before she left, she noticed that I had a few tea cups in my china cabinet that had a rose that also happened to be on the drapes. Neither one of us had noticed that before! I plan on hiring Ms. Gailani again in the future. Like I said before, she is a lovely lady and I really enjoyed working with her.

We originally worked with Susan 10 years ago when we moved into our house. I knew from the moment Susan walked into our home we would be going with Gailani Designs. After getting a total of 5 other design quotes/estimates, I thoroughly believe Gailani was the best choice for us. Mrs. Gailani decorated my bedroom and it looks AWESOME!!! She totally incorporated all my ideas and made my room look better than I imagined it could. All my friends love hanging out in my room now. The cornice board she designed is the highlight of the room. It is so cool and perfect for a teenage girl's room. When I walked in the first time after the room was completely painted and done with the cornice board installed I screamed! Mrs. Gailani just laughed at me! Susan right away was able to help me transform my ideas to a reality in our family room. She knew exactly how to implement our conversations through design, material, colors, pictures, accessories and much more. The first thing she assisted us with is the rearrangement of the furniture by clearly defining the space in the room between family space and children space. Bringing the couches closer together communicated a warm closeness between our family members. She also found the focal point of our room. A painting that once loomed in the background became the center of the room. She immediately was able to pick out the color scheme from the painting and helped in adding richness to the room by repainting two walls of the room. A color that ended up brining out the under tone of our leather couches and softening the room to my taste. Finally, I cannot say more about how thrilled I was when the curtains were assembled and hung. I never realized how much dressing a window can transform a room. Again, Susan’s ability to recognize eye perception and communicate what is missing for the window treatment speaks volumes to her experience in interior decoration. Since the windows were small, she immediately knew that the windows needed to show length and beauty by adding two long side panel curtains on a metallic rod that fit into our room environment. Susan helped me with window coverings for our master bedroom, master bathroom, second bedroom and family room. Our master bathroom has a large square window with a half-circle window on top. It was a challenge because it sits on the other side of a jacuzzi tub. Susan recommended a honeycomb blinds with a remote control to open and close the blinds. We love it! We also love the room darkening blinds she recommended for the bedrooms. Our family room window has always been a challenge. It takes up most of a two-story window and includes a half-circle and two quarter circles. Susan recommended wood shutters and they are perfect. The wood in the shutters is a perfect match for our wood trim. The installers Susan works with are great! They arrive on time, are quick and efficient in the install and even provide hints about the best way to use the products. Susan is on-sight during the install to direct and answer questions. I am extremely pleased with my experience working with Susan. She made selecting and installing window treatments very easy and it was great to have someone who was able to work around my schedule. I'm looking forward to having Susan help me with future custom window treatments to coordinate with my blinds and shutters.
