Stan and his team were beyond amazing! Living in Florida, I heard horror stories about the remodeling process which left me super nervous about it. Schachne firm made the whole process seamless. Everything was organized, explained clearly, we had no major hiccups and the whole process took about 8-9 months to complete. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and Donna was incredible at guiding me, never forceful with her opinion and very professional. The project managers were always on site and were the best at answering all of my silly questions and took care of any issues swiftly and efficiently. We had to move into our house towards the end of construction and everyone made sure the house was always safe for my kids to reside in. Things were always clean and neatly stowed away. I’m already planning my next project and I will only go with Schachne. They are the best!

Extremely pleased with our selection of Schachne Architect & Builders to handle the "down to the studs" renovation of our house in LBTS. Both the design and build phases went smoothly, as did permitting and interfacing with the Town. It was a pleasure to work with the entire team, including Stan (overall project), Dain (drawings/plans), Donna (interior finishes), as well as Jeremy (Project Mgr.) and Nicole (Asst. Proj. Mgr.). At least one team member was always available to answer questions at any time. Updates and communications (including project timeline, milestones and progress photos) were timely and unambiguous. If you are looking for a reliable, honest, and top notch builder, Stan Schachne is an easy choice. After wasting several months and a couple thousand dollars with an architect from my softball league, my wife went to the Town of Davie Building department looking for a recommendation. "You will be very happy if you can get Stan Schachne" She was told by an inspector. We reached out to Stan, reviewed his past work, and met several times to go over our vision. One year later, I could not be happier with our decision. We built on a new master suite and an office during the height of the Pandemic, which Stan and his crew managed tremendously. We highly recommend Stan!

Top Quality All of the Way Through. It has been a pleasure working with Schachne Architects and Builders on our whole home remodel. From the initial meeting with Stan, we felt we were in good hands. Having never undertaken a project such as this, Stan and his team guided us along, giving us options and helping us develop solutions to create an ideal space for us. They worked with us tirelessly to understand our needs and to translate those wants and needs into a functional and beautiful home. While Dain developed print and beautiful 3-D renderings, Donna spent many hours working on floor plan development, cabinetry design and helping us choose the right fixtures and colors to bring those renderings to life. Her design knowledge allowed us to make the best choices for the look we desired. Stan and Jeremy were amazing in navigating all aspects of the construction process from demolition to move-in. Our experience with Schachne Architects and Builders was fantastic and we give our strongest recommendation! They designed and completed a major renovation of our house including all new plumbing, electrical, and four new bedrooms and three bathrooms. Stan, Donna, Dane, and Jeremy were very professional, on-time, courteous, and innovative. Our renovation began one month before COVID struck and we were very impressed with the safe and healthy workplace environment they maintained as well as keeping the project on-time and on-budget. 5 stars all the way, can’t wait to call them back for our next big project!

We found Schachne Architects & Builders’ website through online reviews and sent an inquiry through email. Stan called us right away and the next day we met with their team to talk about our whole house remodel/expansion. We left that meeting confident they were the company to shepherd our project through concept design and construction – a one stop shop with a professional team of architects, designers, project managers and top notch subcontractors. We cannot emphasize enough the benefits we experienced of having an architect and general contractor being the same company. Stan and Donna’s team streamlined the process, communications and completions through the complex South Florida building codes which we learned are some of the toughest in the nation. It was also so helpful to have Donna’s interior design knowledge to create a truly superior living space. She guided us every step of the way by scheduling appointments in showrooms, sending us ideas, meeting fabricators and synchronizing details with our own conceptual ideas. On-site, Jeremy, Dane and Ken were all very hands on and worked daily to ensure our utmost satisfaction right down to the slightest detail. If you are looking to build a house from scratch or doing a remodel, look no further than Schachne Design and Builders. To set the back story, we bought our house back in 1994. It was a cute old Spanish style Bungalow built in 1927. We did everything to it, new plumbing, new electrical, replaced all the old horse hair plaster. Added a new bathroom and kitchen. It was a great house with many memories. However it was a house made of stucco on wood frame and after many years of neglect before us the house’s bones were beginning to crack. We tried to sell it, giving any new potential buyer full disclosure of the conditions of our old house. We got a lot of low ball offers but nothing came of it. We loved the neighborhood as we had lived here for over twenty years so we finally decided it was time to start anew. We had ideas in our heads as to what we wanted in a new house, we were against a McMansion. There’s only 2 of us but we did want it big enough for guests. We love cooking and entertaining so that was big on the list, and we didn’t have a pool, and that was also a high priority. We were newbies in the design and build world and we went to Houzz to look for potential choices. We interviewed with a few but when we first sat down with Stan Schachne we felt we found the right architect/ builder. It was confirmed after meeting his wife Donna who is the firms designer and Ken whose is also an architect. We had the concept in our heads but they were able to put the ideas on paper and after a few tweaks we were on our way to our dream house. Because they are a small hands on shop we felt a part of the project from the beginning, any question was answered promptly and our project manager Jeremy couldn’t have been more easy to work with. Overall our experience was wonderful, you here so many horror stories when someone builds a house. We had none as a result of our builder/designer. City permits etc is a story for another time. I’ve had the opportunity to recommend Schachne Builders to friends and acquaintances and did so without hesitation. If you are looking for a great building experience, look no further!
