Scott Arthur Millwork went over and beyond my expectations on our house renovations. When researching companies to complete our kitchen and main floor renovations we came across Scott Arthur Millwork. The first thing I noticed was actually the reviews online and the fact that people were willing to sit down and write in depth reviews of the outstanding work they completed. The photos alone speak volumes, but to me the relationship with the company is just as important. The work that they do is truly an art form that I would personally not trust anyone but the professional staff at Scott Arthur. From the initial contact with owner, Shawn Tiltgen, my wife and I were impressed with his experience and knowledge in the industry. We met his team for the first time at the shop (which is impressive all on its own) and had an opportunity to sit down and discuss our potential project with them all. We found Scott Arthur price wise came in higher then other quotes, however seeing their shop and discussing with them, their process, materials and the quality of the end result pretty much solidified our decision. There was no question after that initial meeting with Shawn and his team, that they were for us. Over the period of design Shawn and Will came out to our house numerous times to look at the site, take measurement and this gave us a chance to discuss details that we wanted. Throughout the project, whenever we had questions or requested changes Shawn and his team were there and always ensured that we were happy. The quality and craftsmanship of the cabinets were outstanding. Moving on to the install, once again by no surprise the installers were masters of their trade. Although we had not previously met with them, they were professional throughout the whole process. We were still living onsite (in our basement) and with two young children. They were respectful to our requests and ensured the site was clean and safe throughout the renovations. Also worth mentioning, we had brand new hardwood flooring installed previous to the cabinet install and they ensured extra caution was taken there as well. We also had a very large feature wall in our kitchen where we found the installers took extra time with us to customize trim details to feature our hood fan. We were given many different options (look wise) on the trim before we decided to go with the one we did but they mocked up a few right in our driveway for us to make the final decision. They wanted to ensure once again that everything was exactly what we wanted. Without a doubt, I would refer Shawn and his team to anyone that asked. In fact we have referred Scott Arthur Millwork to many people already. Whenever we have someone in our house for the first time, or for that matter, the tenth time, they mention our kitchen and how beautiful it is! The investment is a large one (financially and emotionally) but the final product that you will receive from Scott Arthur Millwork is worth it.

We had the pleasure of working with Shawn and the Scott Arthur Team for our new house. They built our custom kitchen, Built ins for our great room, primary bedroom, and custom desk in our office. We first met with Shawn at the beginning stages of our custom built home in Fall of 2020. We knew after that first meeting we wanted Scott Arthur to do our kitchen. He was friendly and professional and laid out every step of the process to create a custom kitchen, gave us a tour of the shop and we went over our budget which was very important to us. I came with a huge binder of inspiration for our kitchen and built ins and working previously as a designer I was very specific about what I was going for. Shawn and his team allowed me to be part of every design detail from day one to installation. I was sent every email, every draft and they were so patient for months and months until we had it just perfect before going into production. It was a very smooth process and we felt very taken care of. They were organized and professional in how they handled everything from the drawings and drafts, to how the payment plan was laid out, to the quotes and how production worked. We always felt at ease and never had to worry. It was a really good feeling to have total trust and know the outcome would be amazing. It helped ease our stress during our build significantly. We worked together for months and months going every detail of our custom kitchen and built ins and they were always so helpful and so quick to get back to me and very organized in our they communicated. Being someone that pays attention to details this went a long way for me and something we really appreciated. Fast forward to our installation this August and seeing our stunning new kitchen and built ins was like a DREAM come true!!! It was (is) in our eyes the most beautiful kitchen we've ever seen... The craftsmanship - every detail inside and out is exceptional and exceeded our expectations. We could not be happier with everything Scott Arthur did and are so grateful to have worked with them and have our dream kitchen! Thank you to Shawn and the awesome team for everything!!!

We worked with Scott Arthur over a year ago for our kitchen, bar, and family room cabinets. In the end, they not only provided an extremely high-quality product but when we had questions or wanted to be apart of the process they were easy to get ahold of, always returned our calls, and came out to our house to discuss our thoughts and questions in person. Will in the shop, couldn't be more knowledgable when it came to the cabinets, and Shawn (the owner) really took pride in being the companies #1 customer service guru. It was very refreshing to deal with the person in charge no matter what we asked. He also came through for us with extras that we didn't ask for like air intake/vent covers and trim pieces that weren't associated with our cabinets...but he said they finished the look and they did! I'll admit here I waited till our warranty period was up to write this honest review....because of COVID-19 and our 1 year period being over I wasn't sure if he'd be as eager to respond to our calls BUT he was! He called us back that day, Justin (the shop paint/stain guy) came out the following week and polished up all the odds and ends that were missed after the install was completed. This was my husband and I's first project with Scott Arthur. We got 4 quotes when we initially started looking. Scott Author was $25k more $$ than the two cheapest quotes and $10k more than the closes quote we could get to him. The decision for us came down to the 3 guys who you saw working at this small business (I'm sure there are a few more) every day doing the quality of work you see in magazines! We just knew the product was of the highest quality and would be installed and exceed our expectations, rather than saving $10k (I'm sure we would have been dinged on upcharges/change orders/redo's though) on a $55k project and 2nd guessing our decision. We received all 1" thick drawer fronts, soft close everything, garbage cans were provided, numerous additional shelves were thrown in for our uppers, we never felt nickel and dimed, Shawn even coordinated our countertops and made sure we had our appliances lined up on time too. We have recommended them for a number of other friends' projects and will be working with them again when we move onto our next renovation!

We had Scott Arthur build our island/wine rack. Shawn and Will were absolutely outstanding. Everything was on budget, and done exactly when they said they would be!

Fantastic work from Shawn, Will and the team at Scott Arthur Millwork! Their work ethic and attention to detail is second to none! We had a kitchen hutch, basement wall unit, office cabinets and desk, and a front entry bench built by Scott Arthur and every single piece is beautifully made. Shawn made sure that our input was considered for each step of the process and in the end it paid off with us receiving exactly what we had hoped for and beyond. I decided to have a custom tv stand with fireplace built by Scott Arthur Millwork. I was very impressed with the service I received from the initial meeting to the final delivery. Throughout the process the owner (Shawn Tiltgen) was knowledgeable and patient. Even though my project was a small one Shawn took the time to meet with me on multiple occasions to discuss the design of my tv stand and ensure that I would be happy with the final product. On delivery day both Will and Nick were very professional and helpful and ensured that everything was setup properly. I would definitely recommend Scott Arthur.

Scott Arthur did all the millwork and cabinetry in our custom new build. Shawn spent a lot of time and energy into getting every detail right and we are so happy with how everything turned out. Great service from Scott Arthur Millwork. Originally I had another company lined up in Oct-Nov to do a counter bar in my basement but I felt like there was a communication breakdown with them so that's when I looked elsewhere and found Shawn and his team. He quickly came over and measured and got me a quote later that night. It was right around the other company's price so we pulled the trigger. They were able to come the first week in January and got it put in. His installers did a great job not only during the install. I really appreciated the care they put into covering the floors and ensuring they did not do any damage to anything while hauling the bar down (they didn't). They also explained everything and answered any questions I had while they were working. They came around 10 AM and were outta there by about 3PM. The service was great but what I appreciated the most was the open communication that Shawn keeps throughout. He promptly got back to any questions/or concerns I had (even a couple of changes to the original drawing). I would strongly recommend them and am already looking to see what else I can have them do!

The service and quality we received from Scott Arthur Millwork & Cabinetry was outstanding. The design, communication, and attention to detail Shawn Tiltgen and his team provided was unparalleled and the finished millwork they created in our home is beautiful. It is my favourite element of our entire renovation by far. In fact, we wish we had chosen to use Scott Arthur for our entire project, rather than for our millwork only. Not using Scott Arthur for our kitchen and mudroom cabinetry was the biggest mistake we made on our renovation project. Unfortunately, before working with Scott Arthur we had decided to go another route and use another Edmonton based "custom" cabinetry company and we quickly regretted that decision. We truly wish we could go back in time and hire Scott Arthur instead. Although the pricing of the companies was similiar, the end product wasn't even comparable. The other company we used that markets themselves as a premiere custom cabinetry choice was anything but. The other company constructed our cabinets in another province rather than locally, had extensive delays, shipping damage, multiple errors, inexperienced designers, sub-par materials and different installers in and out of our home for months. The final result we ended up with sadly reflects all of this, and we are still awaiting service 10 months later. Seeing the craftsmanship and experience of Shawn and the Scott Arthur team alongside the work of this other company truly demonstrated to us how incredible Scott Arthur Millwork & Cabinetry is. Everything Shawn creates is of extreme quality and Pinterest worthy. We have since viewed many of his other completed projects in person and there is no one else like him in Alberta. We wish we could go back in time and use Scott Arthur from the beginning and for our entire project, instead of just a portion. They are the best. Next time!

Owner Shawn is patient, polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and most of all, talented, creative and will go out of his way to make sure that his client's needs are met. Scott Arthur blew me away with my custom made shelving cabinets for my coats and handbag collection. This intricate custom work only took Scott Arthur a day for install and employees are very friendly, knowledgable and definitely pay close attention to detail. This organization was superb from start to finish. Our crown mouldings and cabinetry are impeccable. I have used them twice on major projects and was very pleased both times. The project was on time, on budget and exceeded my expectations.

I recently completed a complex renovation to a home that had suffered from water damage.
