At Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens we create beautiful bespoke kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces with an emphasis on sustainability. Our designs are thoughtfully curated and built to last. With 15 years in business, our skilled and experienced team bring a passion to our designs as well as a commitment to excellent customer service. We want you to love your new space! We design and deliver spaces across the UK and offer a fitting service within an hour of Sheffield. As a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, we pride ourselves on creating highly functional quality living spaces, whilst keeping sustainability and ethics at the core of everything we do. We use sustainably sourced materials, reclaimed or high recycled content. Many of our kitchens have a story to tell, whether it’s the cabinet door fronts that were originally railway wagons, open shelving that had a previous life as a school lab bench (complete with graffiti) or worktops made from glass bottle shards set in a solid resin. We offer a personalised service, working closely with you to create the best design for your needs. We take commissions to design and create bespoke furniture, freestanding or fitted and a wide range of other interior projects from cabinets and larders to offices and wardrobes.

We wanted to use an independent local company to revamp our kitchen, we chose SSK for the task. From start to completion SSK were friendly, knowledgeable and professional . The design team incorporated our outline ideas into their draft render to create a functional, space efficient minimalist kitchen. One or two minor adjustments were made to the first draft before SSKs highly skilled tradespeople and sub contractors made the final design a reality. The completed kitchen is everything we had envisioned, it is an excellent example of design and craftsmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending SSK to other people for their project. Once again, many thanks to everyone at SSK for all their efforts before, during and after installation. We really appreciate all the hard work that went into making our new kitchen a reality.

We approached SSK for the renovation of our kitchen after seeing their previous work as well as wanting to work with a local company and local tradespeople. The work took a little longer than expected to finish, however the finished product is beyond amazing. There were a few teething issues with some elements of the kitchen but these were out of the control of SSK and they made sure that any issues were dealt with professionally and promptly. Alex was our fitter and it was a pleasure having him around, his work is excellent and he is a credit to the company. The tradespeople that SSK work with were all also excellent and the work they did in getting our kitchen revamped was fantastic. We couldn't be happier and would gladly recommend SSK to people in the future.

Every aspect of Sheffield Sustainable kitchens has been outstanding. Right from the start, the initial design consultation was excellent. We had some thoughts about what we wanted but SSK suggested some different ideas based on what we needed, which was more space and simplified design. During the build the SSK joiners and the trades were brilliant. The process wasn’t always straightforward but what issues we had were dealt with quickly and professionally. We now have a kitchen that is incredible quality, made from beautiful sustainable materials. It looks fantastic and more importantly is so easy to use and to be in. We could not be happier with the end result. We highly recommended Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens.

SSK were very professional, from the first talk with them about what we wanted from a kitchen, right through to the final following up of any problems (of which there were very few). We particularly liked their 'green' and sustainable approach to the materials used and the focus on the functionality of the final design. The installers worked extremely hard and made sure that the cupboards and appliances were perfectly in-line and functioned correctly, despite the problems of having to do the installation during Covid restrictions. SSK also designed and supplied our family bathroom and again we are extremely happy with the final result. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as an outstanding designer and supplier.

Rob and the team at SSK designed and fitted our beautiful kitchen in Chorlton and we are thrilled with the finished product. I believe that SSK have a unique product and I was delighted that they were prepared to make the trip from Sheffield to Manchester to fit our kitchen. The Little Green paint colours are stunning, especially coordinated with the recycled glass worktop (which is a triumph, well worth the investment) and the quality of the kitchen overall is just fantastic. Rob and all his colleagues were a delight to work with and nothing was too much trouble, in fact it was a lot of fun! After the kitchen was fitted we realised that we could do with a couple more shelves and Rob happily came over to fit them. I know that we will enjoy our kitchen for many years to come and I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

From the initial design meetings through to completion SSK has been a trusted partner throughout and all the people working on or around the project have been a pleasure to work with. The planning and design process was meticulous and our requested changes in the design were taken on board willingly and with added suggestions and improvements from them. In some cases their suggestions gave us a different perspective on our initial thoughts, which was valuable to us. The work started on the day planned and their commitment to minimising disruption was appreciated. Workmanship has been top quality in every area of this build and all the SSK staff are people we have been happy to have in our home. SSK understood that the project was to redesign a kitchen in an old house, bring it fully up-to-date but without losing its character. They achieved this wonderfully. They always wanted us to be happy with the result and nothing was too much trouble. Any changes to budget were fully explained and agreed with us before commencement of work (and there weren’t many of these). The kitchen is fabulous, everything we’d hoped. It’s so convenient to use and ergonomic as well as being beautiful. When we come down in the morning we feel really lucky. We would not hesitate to recommend SSK.

We used SSK to redesign and install our kitchen. From the beginning they were helpful and respectful of our wishes and budget. They were extremely helpful in the design stage and used their experience to suggest workable and pleasing solutions. They were happy to work around the appliances we wanted to keep. The building work was done by their usual team and they minimised disruption very effectively. When they came across unanticipated difficulties with the foundations they worked to remedy this immediately and the quality of their work was excellent. The installation team were brilliant, as were the flooring installers. Throughout the whole process the project manager kept in regular contact and was easily contactable. It was obvious the whole team were aware of the project whenever we phoned the office. We are delighted with our kitchen and we would wholeheartedly recommend SSK. Mick and Moira.

I've photographed a number of kitchens designed and built by SSK and can happily say that they have all been stunning. The customers always seem over the moon with their new spaces, and I've always enjoyed photographing them. They are a professional but friendly group and when it's time for myself to upgrade my kitchen there's no one else I'd prefer to do it.

From start to finish SSK made the process of renovating our kitchen hassle free. Nothing was too much trouble even when we changed some of the details. They communicated well and kept us updated when there were minor hiccups. We have a beautiful kitchen just as we had imagined and planned for. A top quality service in terms of the finished product and also the professionalism of the staff and tradesmen. There was a wait for the work to begin but this is a reflection of their services being in high demand. Work started and finished within the timescales we were given and came in on budget.
