Sophie and Jenn helped my wife and I rebuild, design and decorate our 100 year old home in Vancouver's south Main. They worked hand in hand with our General Contractor and architect to help deliver a beautiful, bright and understated home that combines modern clean lines with thoughtful heritage touches inside and out. Rebuilds and renovations are stressful and we were out of our home for six months during the project. Sophie and Jenn made the experience not just less odious but actually fun and exciting. We would commend them to anyone.

Sophie Burke Design did a major renovation on the entire first level of our home. They did an excellent job. Sophie and her staff were creative, professional. accessible and very personable. They totally renovated our kitchen replacing the entire floor of the kitchen and entry area, and redesigned the kitchen and laundry room with a new modern look. They replaced cabinets, put in new counters, new appliances and lighting. The kitchen and family room have a much more open and modern look. The company did an excellent job and deserve the highest rating.

We , at The Natural Textile Company , have been very fortunate to work with Sophie over the course of many years . On most projects for Sophie , we manufacture and install window coverings , . This gives us a unique perspective because at the time we do our check measure , the property has usually been stripped to the bones, but when we return to install the window coverings, the project is in its very final stages. We are always amazed by the transformation from the before to the after. Sophie has excellent taste, Regardless of the property type, architectural style , size of budget or project constraints, she always produces a magazine quality design scheme. Her sense of colour is extraordinary. Aesthetically, everything works in her schemes, from beautiful kitchens , to carefully planned bedrooms and living areas , to well crafted bathrooms and storage spaces. Her use of hardwood and soft floor coverings , stonework and ceramics , cabinetry , light fixtures , stylish furniture and beautiful fabrics all combine to create exceptional living environments. And as if this praise were not enough, Sophie always conducts herself with charm, grace and professionalism.

We hired Sophie Burke Design to help us execute on a head to toe renovation/decoration of our ski cottage. We did not want a typical, heavy wood, big sofa, ski chalet. Instead we wanted something fresh, contemporary feeling but with Scandinavian design elements. Something that was cozy in winter & fresh in summer without feeling heavy as we use the home equally, if not more in the hot, summer months. They were the consumate professionals with exquisite taste, a great ear and ability to listen to our wish list while making thoughtful and appropriate suggestions where perhaps our vision wasn't perfect for the space. We love the entire property...absolutely gorgeous, stunning, bright & airy, cozy & comfy.

Sophie was an excellent resource for us in designing our home at Whistler. We had to change designers while we were already into the project and she arrived right up to speed, incorporating new ideas and blending them so well with things we had already decided on that had to be kept. She was an amazing listener - ensuring our own personal tastes were adhered to while adding her own element of sophistication and beautiful style.
