Stephen Longman Builders completed a sunroom addition for us. We were impressed by their quality of work, attention to details, and on-going partnership/communication. The new addition that we call the "up north room" is now our favorite room in our home. We had a vision for this space and they made it a reality. We would highly recommend them to others.

I regret the decision to hire Stephen Longman more than any other decision I have made in my life. We were consistently disappointed with the cost, and quality of the work delivered. We encountered significant problems during all phases of the process. Quality was so low that we had to hire 3rd party inspections multiple times to get him to correct construction defects. Even then we have had to spend thousands to fix issues that he refused to address. This also resulted in a hostile working relationship that has only grown worse over time. I recommend thoroughly investigating Stephen Longman Builders, including court cases and other review sites in order to fully understand this company's past.

Steve Longman has built two homes for me. A 7,000 sq ft custom house in 1992-93 and a 4,000 sq. ft. custom house in 2011. Steve is courteous in listening to the customer and prompt in responding with more than one suggestion for solutions to any issues during the course of construction. Steve is a "can do" builder who enthusiastically will help you create the vision you have in your head to become the reality you will enjoy coming home to each day. Stephen Longman Builders only builds a handful of custom homes in any given year, thus they do not have a burdensome overhead, the cost of which would otherwise inflate construction costs to you the homeowner. That means Steve is able to build your custom or architect-designed home, using high end materials and appliances for a worthwhile lower cost than other bigger name "custom" builders. Steve has over 30 years experience and knows how to bring a home to completion in a timely fashion and for your budgeted amount.

Steve and crew were AMAZING. We hired Longman Builders to do a remodel for our home, including new construction of a master suite, upstairs laundry room and mudroom. Their attention to detail was fantastic - the carpentry and finishes are beautiful. Steve, and those who work for him, have great insight and created a beautiful home for our family.

We have worked with several builders and Steve is by far the most professional and knowledgable builder around. He has a great design aesthetic as well. Everything agreed upon in the original agreement was completed within a reasonable timeframe.
