The best remodel experience we've ever had. Aaron and Rick run an amazing company with outstanding employees and relationships with talented subcontractors to ensure seamless work. Rick managed every detail of the project and never left us guessing on timeline or potential delays. The project was finished on time and within budget, thanks to this communication. We absolutely loved the help we received with our finishings selections, and using their software platform to update selections, ask questions, and to shoot the TailorCraft team pictures and ideas was great. We will definitely be calling TailorCraft again for future projects.

TailorCraft Builders, Inc. was selected by my wife and I after interviewing many potential builders. We were impressed with Aaron Drummond and co-owner Rick Dyson's attention to detail, professionalism, track record, and were truly motivated to create our dream water front custom home. From our initial interview through the entire year long process they were accessible and willing to listen to our needs and desires. Quality craftmanship was evident from shoring up the foundations to the final cleaning. The team of contractors organized was respectful of our questions, and never tired of our inquires. Rick was on sight every day with AM and PM surveys to ensure the process and time line moved with efficiency. Aaron's "Co-Construct" accounting program insured we agreed to all purchases and credits throughout the construction. We were also advised along the journey, when the next phase was to begin and what had to be ordered or purchased in order to keep the assembly line on schedule. TailorCraft minimized the anxiety of what could have been a traumatic evolution for older home building neophytes. The home they created is superlative in every measure! My wife and I would both highly recommend TailorCraft for a new construction or remodel.

TailorCraft Builders (TCB) came recommended to us through a mutual business colleague, but Aaron, Rick, & their entire team made it a rewarding personal connection throughout the custom home build process. They spent many hours working directly with us to make sure all our requests were met and paid attention to even the smallest of details. Our waterfront home had some unique and challenging access issues, but they were able to overcome those and delivered a new "forever home" that we absolutely love. Among their many talents, they were able to successfully guide us through some exhausting AACo permitting obstacles to make sure our overall project continued as planned. After researching several remodeling companies, we chose TailorCraft due in large part to the reviews we found online. We had a fairly large renovation (complete gutting of a finished basement) and wanted someone with the same vision we had. They did not disappoint. Everyone from TailorCraft and all of the sub-contractors were friendly and got the job done the way they said they would. We hit a couple of snags (not unusual for a 50 year old house) but Aaron walked us through our options and got us back on track. There were things we did not even know that we wanted that Aaron thought of an we thanked him for later. We could not have been happier with the outcome of the renovation.

We hired TailorCraft to transform our home. This included an addition, a new raised entryway, new laundry room, kitchen, fireplace, entertainment room, and dry bar, as well as significant exterior changes. We also had some unusual requests along the way to personalize our home. TailorCraft handled this project very professionally, with full disclosure of project timelines, costs, and expectations. No surprises!! Communication was prompt and thorough. The subcontractors hired on the job were highly skilled and very polite. TailorCraft listened to what we wanted and allowed our project to evolve into our dreams. We are very happy with the outcome and recommend their work without hesitation.

This team is wonderful. They were very patient with what ended up being a complex renovation. They always seemed to have our best interests in mind. TailorCraft completed a project that involved the constructing and installing of built in bookcases, constructing and installing a hardwood staircase, and gutting and replacing a bathroom. This involved painting, wallpaper removal, electrical, plumbing, tiling, carpentry...who knows what else! They definitely brought our decorator's ideas to life. The workmen were very dependable and conscientious in the care of our house. Each day the project supervisor came by at least once to check work progress, handle problems (of which there were few), and doublecheck wth us as to our level of satisfaction. Aaron, the owner, made a suggestion that we had not even thought of that completely changed the feel or our foyer. It took a while to coordinate our schedules but when the project began, it ran like clockwork. We would definitely use them again.

We chose TailorCraft Builders to build our dream home from a trusted referral. We found the perfect location, had a wonderful architect and now needed a builder who could do the job. Aaron and Rick worked closely with our architect and did an outstanding job in making what we visualized into reality. The process was long and at times complicated and so much more involved than we could have ever imagined, however they worked with us every step of the way, providing much needed guidance, advisement and support throughout this journey. My wife and I hired Tailorcraft to remodel an In-Law suite for us last year and they were a pleasure to work with throughout the project. Aaron and his whole crew handled every aspect of our project with professionalism and great workmanship.

I hired TailorCraft for two projects so far: a master bathroom renovation and a mudroom/laundry room relocation. Both projects were on budget and the quality of their work was fantastic. I also like how they do their selection tracking/budgeting process through their website. One thing that really set TailorCraft apart for me, compared with other contractors I've used in the past, is how they handled project hiccups, which always occur on projects of any significant size. In each and every case they made it right, without fuss or stress. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

After our initial meeting with Aaron, we decided to selected TailorCraft Builders as the General Contractor for our basement remodel. Aaron came well prepared and answered all our concerns as it pertains to schedule and budget. The team is very responsive and easy to work with. There were challenges that were not apparent during the initial design that were easily overcome. The contractors along with the staff do exceptional work to make the homeowner feel involved during the entire project. Aaron or Rick were on the site everyday making sure things were progressing to meet deadlines. Aaron is easy to work with when changes were needed. Rick was the goto guy in that when there were scheduling conflicts, they were quickly resolved. The finished project turned out great, with kid approval, they routinely use the facilities as we we hoping. Thanks for a job well done.

Rick and Arron were great to work with. We had a free standing two car garage built as well as a new gas fireplace and added a window inside our home. They had very helpful suggestions as to driveway configuration, color choices and materials. All of the sub contractors did excellent work were respectful and kept the work site clean. The cost was very competitive and the materials used were high quality. We are extremely pleased with the results and highly recommend this builder.

We just finished Phase 1 of 3 phases of renovation with Aaron and Rick at TailorCraft. We are very happy with the quality of their team's work and enjoyed working with them. We bought a 90 year old house and knew there was a lot we wanted to do so we divided it into Phases and Phase 1 was critical stuff like Air conditioning and a new kitchen, along with all the hidden stuff like putting in a gas line, burying the electric, new pipes, floor joists, etc. We already had an architect when they came on board and they all worked well together. She designed our final plans and they were able to determine the best way to do the Phase 1 improvements so we are well set-up for Phase 2. We put in pipes for future bathrooms, rebuilt some 2nd story floors, so when we go back later to update those spaces we will not disturb the work they just finished, and our new AC units will cool the entire house when we are done. They also did exterior work - rebuilding uneven walls, new windows, siding, roof, and painting. We had many people in and out of our house over the months they worked on it, and they were all very nice and respectful of our wishes. Since they have completed it, we have had many compliments from friends and neighbors. We had one neighbor comment that she barely knew they were around because they were never noisy or disruptive.

I selected Tailorcraft Builders to design and construct my new home and adjacent commercial studio and RV garage. These guys were able to take our rough concept and come up with a custom design that captured ideas exactly. Their team of professionals do high quality work, they are courteous and neat in their appearance and the upkeep of the jobsite. I have nothing but praise for Tailorcraft Builders.

The TailorCraft team has our strongest possible recommendation. Building our home with this talented group of professionals was a very smooth, enjoyable experience--what it should be. We had actually built a custom home 18 years ago, and that too was a wonderful experience. When we tried to find that builder again in 2015, we found that he had retired. My wife and I told ourselves that we would never duplicate that experience because of that builder’s being so professional. However, Aaron Drummond and his team were just as extraordinary--from the moment we met Aaron to the day we moved into our home. When we first met Aaron, we immediately felt confidence. We first went to our lot that we had purchased and you could see his wheels turning about the size of the lot and what we could build on it. Then we started looking at designs and floor plans that my wife and selected. Aaron would tell us what would work and what wouldn't. And that fact remained constant throughout the process--he never let us go down a wrong path. He would always steer us in the correct direction. Once we agreed upon a workable design, we worked out a budget. Aaron and his team provided us weekly--actually daily--updates through a software program that captured every action. This even included the extensive permit process. Being a waterfront home, the permit process in Anne Arundel County is laborious and gruesome. But Aaron demonstrated diplomatic persistence and worked his way through the bureaucracy like a Secretary of State. What I really liked about Aaron and his team is that once we had agreed upon a budget, they ensured we stayed on that budget. If they saw us going higher on any items, they told us upfront. Accordingly, everything was kept in check at all times. Similarly, the TailorCraft team never surprised us. Through each crucial stage, we had plenty of warning when crucial benchmarks were met, e.g., foundation, framing, dry walling, etc. Changes beyond a certain date would cost funds--adding to the ultimate cost of the home or causing a diminution in quality of certain appliances, let's say. Quite simply, Aaron insisted on good, consistent communications. I CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS--AND TAILORCRAFT FULLY SUBSCRIBES TO IT. Whether it was at 8 or 9 pm in the evening or 7 am in the morning, Aaron was ready, willing and able to meet. We were also very much impressed with Aaron's sub-contractors. I don't know their labor rates. But I do know that the subs were QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY. We have several friends who know construction and when they would come over and see our home being built, they would marvel at a whole range of items. We found that reassuring. The TailorCraft team is also a good group of advisers. Each member of the leadership team has his/her expertise. If they felt something wasn’t going to look right, they would tell us. If they saw us looking at a product (e.g., stonework, siding, tile, etc.) that would either not look right or was over budget, they told us so. Most importantly, Aaron and the TailorCraft team were always responsive to our requests. If we didn't understand something, they ensured we were given an explanation that we understood. It was very clear from the outset that they subscribed to the "no surprise" rule. When problems did arise or we saw something that just wasn’t correct, the Tailor Craft team made it right. For example, when we moved in, I realized that there was no electrical outlet below my built-in desk for my computer. It was fixed immediately. There were a couple of other mior issues—oversights, basically. There was never an argument or disagreement. They wer fixed immediately. The bottom line is that working with TailorCraft was a very, very pleasant experience. If we were to build another home again, there is no doubt we would turn to Aaron and his team. They truly are extraordinary professionals, and they have our deepest respect.

Aaron and team were wonderful to work with. They built our whole house from the ground up. They listened to what we wanted and were willing to work with us and our ideas. They were very responsive and will make things right. We would definitely work with Tailorcraft builders again.

This was our third job that TailorCraft did for us. Our first job was a master bathroom and a hall bathroom renovation. We liked their work so much we had them back for our family room addition. Then in 2015, we purchased a new home that needed a 100% makeover from the inside out. We hired Aaron and his TailorCraft team for the job. It took about 4 months (a little longer than expected) for the job to be completed but when it was finally done we were thrilled. Complete transformation! We love our new home! Aaron and his team are high quality builders that do not stop until your are completely satisfied. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is superb. They continued to work until the job was done to our vision of perfection and that we were looking for in a builder. We are very satisfied with TailorCraft and though they were not the least expensive builder we are very glad we hired them for the job.

We were very pleased with TailorCraft Builders. Our project started as a large renovation but became a tear down and new build. In short, it was a significant project and on the water. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The reasons are that TailorCraft (Aaron and Rick): - Are excellent project managers, which resulted in very, very little unproductive time during the project - Used interactive planning software with us so as to document choices, follow costs, and manage the project - Are easy and fun to work with, responsive, good listeners, exacting, thorough, flexible, and onsite every day - Have excellent, user-friendly and experienced sub-contractors - Contributed many valuable suggestions, several of which improved the design - Used modern and robust materials of construction - Worked well with our architects and civil engineers - Have good relationships with county inspectors and are well aware of building codes - Proactively maintained a clean worksite and environmental controls, such as the silt fence - Were sensitive and responsive to neighbors' input and requests - Built a strong, efficient, and beautiful house for us - Provide follow-up and any needed work after move-in - Help veterans with building or modifying their homes Areas for improvement we've discussed with TailorCraft are: - Process changes, which they have made, to better cost out allowances for items the clients select - More quickly completing the small punch list at project's end, to which they responded In summary, the bottom line is that if we had it to do all over again, we wouldn't use anybody but TailorCraft!

TailorCraft Builders was a pleasure to work with and delivered on a high-quality end product that met and exceeded our expectations. Aaron and his staff ensure that the client is left satisfied while paying attention to the fine details without unnecessary haggling. TailorCraft Builders built a 16’x22’ family room addition with an unfinished basement storage room on our house. We highly recommend Aaron Drummond and TailorCraft Builders. Aaron is easy to work with and served as a true partner with us in our project. When we were working on the initial plans, Aaron offered alternatives to bring the overall budget down in ways that would not compromise the integrity of the work. We never felt that TailorCraft tried to shortcut anything to save time or improve their profitability. Instead of telling us things couldn’t be done, Aaron found a way to accommodate our ideas that came up during construction. More often, Aaron would suggest new ideas that we hadn’t even considered or thought were possible. He was instrumental in helping us bring to life the vision we had for our new living space. The finished product turned out to be quite different, in the most positive way, than our initial expectations when we came to him with the project. This is due in large part to Aaron’s talents and ability to think of creative ways to use space and materials. Living in our house through the construction, we always felt comfortable having Aaron’s employees and trade subcontractors in our house. Everyone was highly skilled and courteous. Aaron was at the project site every day, ensuring all work was done timely and with great attention to detail. As with any project, not everything goes according to plan, but when there were minor issues that arose during construction, Aaron made sure everything was completed both to our satisfaction and his satisfaction. We never felt like Aaron was rushing our project to move on to the next one. We couldn’t be happier with the end result and our decision to use TailorCraft Builders. We’re already thinking about the next project they can do in our house!

We selected Tailorcraft after soliciting proposals from area builders for our projects. After meeting Aaron and listening to his presentation my husband and I knew immediately that we wanted to work with Tailorcraft. What began as one major renovation project to add two bedrooms to a half finished basement plus major upgrades to an existing full bath turned into several more projects indoors and outdoors that spanned a two year period. The customer service, attention to detail, quality of work, responsiveness, and professionalism of the crew were extraordinary from start to finish. We never felt inconvenienced by the crew's presence despite the expansive nature of the projects. Rick was our site manager for all the projects and is an absolute delight to work with! His expertise is evident in every decision, recommendation and result. His unyielding optimism and cheerful disposition made every interaction pleasant. TailorCraft Builders was hired to turn unused and wasted space in my home into a master suite, including a master bathroom, bedroom, and sitting room/office. With the help of my interior designer, Gigi Sloss, they created an amazing spa like retreat for me. The master bathroom consists of a large sunken tub and a huge walk in frameless shower and water closet. Their advise and experience helped me from making any blunders in my design. Now that I've moved back into my space, I don't want to seem to leave it. TailorCraft's team were professional, met deadlines and were right smack on budget…even with the additional extras I added on…and no skimping to meet the budget. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone wishing to do a remodel or new build (I already have!).

As my first home purchase & first TOTAL renovation there was a lot of uncertainty going into this project. Aaron and Rick from Tailorcraft Builders really helped me to visualize, organize, and adapt my ideas into real options and eventually results. Aaron was a great help and even consulted the previous owners contractual repairs to make sure they would be in line with my future plans. Aaron and Rick were responsive to my concerns and changes as we went along- I was impressed and comforted by their knowledge as well as their small builder, big results character. I was however less than thrilled with the length of time it took to complete the project, some of the framing done by their crew, and the last minute rate hikes of a few of their subcontracts that extended me past the max of my 203k borrowing. UPDATE 6/9/14: I initially wrote about my disappointed with CB flooring, and their lack of quality control: However, Aaron and CB came back a year later to fix the problems i had, and for that I am very grateful. The floor is now seamless and beautifully re-stained, and the tile work straight and free from install blemishes. In my opinion Tailorcraft Builders should be on your "short list" of contractors to get quotes from.

My family and I contacted Aaron at Tailor Craft Builders to assess a renovation project on a prospective home to buy. Aaron and other members of his team met with us numerous times prior to the purchase of this home so that we could review ideas and pictures. Based on those initial meetings, we purchased the home. Both Aaron, his contractor Rick and entire crew were fantastic. They made contact with us everyday, arrived on time, cleaned the work area daily and always made at least twice a day appearances on site to make sure everything was on schedule. They were flexible with changes and more than willing to go above and beyond what we had expected. Nothing was a surprise, every detail was addressed and every question answered. We love the quality of their work, the amount of time they all put forth to make this house our home. We already have future projects ready to go and without reservation, Tailor Craft will be requested for the job.

We are so pleased with the work of TailorCraft Builders. This is the second major project that we have contracted them for in our home. TailorCraft designed and built our new deck, running plans through the county permitting process and making adjustments as necessary, keeping us informed throughout the process. We didn't have to worry about any of the details. Once the plan was finalized, the materials that we had decided upon were ordered, and the project began promptly. One of the things that we really appreciate when we hire TailorCraft is that their employees and subcontractors are great to work with. We had a wonderful time working with Aaron and Rick on updating our new house. They were very thoughtful and accomodating to our wishes. We are thrilled with our home renovation. We bought a poorly laid out, 70 year-old home and Aaron's plan to move a wall and basically rebuild the house turned it into the perfect starter home. New walls, roof, adding insulation, new walls, HVAC, windows, roof, siding, full kitchen, full bath, a little mold remediation, lead paint remediation, termite damage repair... the only thing that is original are the beautifully restored hardwood floors. The project never fell behind schedule and we moved in right on time. Aaron kept in constant contact - e-amiling or calling daily and meeting in person often as we made decisions about each piece of the puzzle. After living her for a few weeks, if I had to do it all over again - I would keep almost every detail the same. With less than 900 sqft, space was a huge concern - but we ended up with really great storage spaces - a pantry, mudroom and comfortable sized closet. Our kitchen as as much cabinet space (if not more!) than the 1600sqft house we previously rented.

TailorCraft Builders did exceptional work remodeling our master bedroom closets & bathroom. Their combination of creative design & excellent craftsmanship is like nothing we've ever seen before. We live in an early 80's home & have had to do many remodeling jobs in the 10 years in our house. TailorCraft was, far and away, the best company we've ever worked with. The company is overseen by Aaron Drummond & he was on-sight every day. He checked in with us consistently & addressed all of our questions, modifications & small changes promptly. We never felt like we were bothering him & he made us feel like we mattered. His eye for detail was unbelievable. One small example, he insisted that we change the hinges on the upstairs doors, to match the new knobs. I assured him that I didn't care & he said, "I do & I want it to be done right". The interactive website he uses, to communicate with the clients, can give a homeowner peace, knowing there won't be hidden costs. He breaks down the costs VERY clearly. Only because of small changes I made, did we come in a little over his estimate. Unheard of, these days. In 2012 my fiancé and I were on the path to purchasing our first home. We knew our future home would need updating but due to unforeseen delays of the sale, we ended scrambling to find a general contractor who could commit to starting renovations around the holidays. Since we were using a 203k streamline loan to update our home our Realtor recommended TaliorCraft Builders. Mr. Drummond came by our home and without knowledge of the home inspection he was able to assess some of the issues outlined by the inspection report. From there we were able to talk about some of items that were in need to be replaced, some of our wishes and our overall goals to make our house a home. We came up with a plan that covered the must-do’s (install new windows, remove wood rotted trim, replace the outdated electrical panel, etc) and most of the want-to-do’s (i.e. - renovating our kitchen, install dining room flooring, etc) within our budget. Work started on time and crew were mindful that we were living in the home. They maintained a clean work area and removed most of construction debris each day. Also Mr. Drummond and Mr. Dyson made sure we were kept informed about the crew’s progress. From Mr. Drummond’s and Mr. Dyson’s combined knowledge of the construction industry to their prompt response to our questions, they put us at ease throughout the whole renovation process. All the work was completed within two months and we couldn’t be happier with their work.

Aaron Drummond and his team at TailorCraft Builders are terrific! We installed a bathroom in an unfinished basement. It was quite a project. Although the plumbing access was in the area, the concrete floor had to be chopped up and the pipes moved about to accomodate the design. From floor to ceiling, everything was new. In spite of unforseen delays in tile orders, design changes, and tardy inspectors, Aaron remained calm and patient throughout the process. The end result was a stunning bathroom with a lovely walk-in shower, beautiful raised vessel sink and vanity, and heated wood-look tile floor. The final design captured the old-world style we hope to continue througout the basement as we finish the rest of the space. This is the second major project we've done with TailorCraft. We spent many many months planning our new kitchen which included major structural revisions and quite a bit of construction. Aaron was able to seamlessly guide us through the process. Second go-round with Tailorcraft, and the results were as good as the first time. This time we were updating a bathroom and mud room, and Aaron was, as usual, very helpful. The workmanship was very, very good, the ideas innovative. The highlight this time was follow up: we had some workmanship that we thought wasn't to his standard, just a day before things were to finish. He came over and we reviewed together. Everything was fixed to our standards, on time, on budge. We're really glad that we've finally found a contractor that is this good... and dependable.

We had a leak in and around one of the windows in our foyer, it caused some minor water damage to some of the surrounding walls. Aaron and his crew came in and looked at the damage and gave us a fair estimate. His crew of very knowledgeable,hard working and very polite workers were here for two weeks.They fixed the window, replaced dry wall and painted the majority of the main floor in our house. We had one wall that we painted Red, it took 5 coats of paint, which the guys put on graciously. They made sure that it was the color that we wanted and that we liked it when it was done. We were very impressed. They also put a glass back splash up in our kitchen. It did take them some time but the work is amazing. We would definitely hire them again.

We had a sun room and patio add to our home. TailorCraft provided selected subcontractors to provide specific services and coordinated the project. They kept use informed as to options and materials we needed to make to keep the project moving. They also kept us updated on the scheduling of the work. We had the HVAC system replaced as part of the addition, and the kitchen was remodeled at the same time. They coordinated flooring, cabinets, counter tops, and lighting upgrades with no scheduling problems. We have since engaged TailorCraft to replace a roof and shingles on our rental property. They have coordinated this construction with the weather and the tenant.

If we thought of it, Aaron made it happen, resulting in some very special features. They have assembled a skillful team that did a great job with framing, siding, roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, cabinetry and painting. Richie’s finishing trim work is especially awesome, Karen has an amazing eye for color and Juan and his crew can make anything right. We trust we can call them at any time, even years from now, if there is an issue with any of their work. TailorCraft Builders is unique in their use of technology as an aid for project communication, budgeting, and purchasing. Co-construct, proprietary software, provided a detailed view of sequencing and deadlines and helped keep the project organized. It ensured we were able to shop for materials and make decisions on budget and in time to meet the builder’s schedule. TailorCraft Builders built our dream home and it exceeded our expectations. It was a long, and not always easy journey from what started as a simple renovation and ended up as a whole house rebuild but it was definitely worth the trip. I would do it all again except that I never want to leave this house.

We hired Tailor Craft builders for a complete remodel of our home. Two additions, three bathrooms, an entire kitchen, reworked floor plan , front elevation change, finishing of our basement, a new driveway, a carport changed to an enclosed garage and front/rear landscaping. What used to be a 1970's eyesore is now the best looking house on the block and is perfect for our young family. Aaron and Rick are not only reliable and trustworthy, but by the end of this process we consider them to be friends. Our house is now a home thanks to these guys!
