I hired LBC in April 2018 to install a new shower room in my flat which cost in excess of £18,000. All went well until Joseph switched the shower on when virtually nothing happened. Steve and Joseph decided that I needed a pump which was duly fitted (a further £800) up front. The pump was very noisy, and I had to switch it on and off because water gushed out of the kitchen tap whenever the pump was left on. However with the pump off cold water just trickled out of the taps in both bathrooms. I complained to Steve about this problem many times until finally Joseph came in April 2020, spent 5 minutes, and told me the pump must be left on all the time. Again more complaints to Steve and finally Tomasz appeared in Dec 2020, said the pump was no good and that a new one was required. This pump was installed and the shower worked well but the cold water was still just trickling out of the bathroom taps. Around December 20 Tomasz came round again, went up into the loft, where my tank is, and said that the water in the tank was filthy and that the pipe from the tank was blocked with rubbish. On Dec 22nd the cold water taps and WC's stopped working altogether, again I contacted Steve and he said anything else would be chargeable and wished me Merry Christmas. Another plumber friend of mine came round on Dec 23rd and said the problem was not a blocked pipe at all but an airlock which he cleared in 30 minutes. Not a word of apology from Steve for 3 years of virtually no cold water.

The LBC recently completed work on our new bathroom and we're delighted with the end result. Their attention to detail and the quality of the finish is just what we were hoping for and they make the whole process as seamless as possible.

We used this company to renovate two bathrooms in our house. We really appreciated their input to create two wonderful spaces. The quality of the work in both is excellent and the team were careful in how we carried out the project to make sure we always had a working toilet! We did get a few quotes but we really liked the way LBC worked with us collaboratively to design something we loved. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended if you want a beautiful design, high end bathroom, and a quick, hassle free process. Steve’s design was beautiful, and fit our tastes and the character of the flat. We appreciated the honesty of his advice and his efforts to translate our requirements into something workable and aesthetically pleasing. Standards were very high throughout, from the design, to the material, to installation. Complete 'project management' of the whole process meant very low effort for us! Emma, who handled the administrative side of things, was very responsive. The process is much more relaxing when you get responses within an hour or so. The staff fitting the bathroom were also friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Our bathroom went from being the ugliest room in the house to the most attractive!

Just want to say a big thank you to your team for an excellent job. Rachael and myself couldn’t be happier with our new bathroom and its certainly exceeded our expectations. They were very reliable, professional and made the whole process smooth throughout from their finishing touches to their tidying at the end.

A superb bathroom refurbishment! All the boxes ticked; it was finished on time, a professional job done to a high standard, Steve always had time to answer my questions and this reflected his knowledge and understanding of the work entailed. The CAD meant I could visualise the end product - a very helpful aid. The materials offered were of an excellent quality. I couldn't be more satisfied with my new bathroom, my friends are quite envious and I would certainly recommend Charles Christian Bathrooms.

Hiring a Co that you don’t really know was a huge concern for me, especially given the complexity / interdependencies of plumbing, electricity, gas, building & tiling. I’ve heard so many horror stories and as we have just moved house, we are having to deal with a lot of different contractors. I found Steve a pleasure to work with from the start. He listened to me and then provided me with designs which required minimal change from me. I had other quotes and everyone else seemed to keep telling me what couldn’t be done or required me to spend a great deal of time managing their work. The great thing about Charles Christian is that Steve managed everything and my input was hardly required once I’d made the decisions on design and tiling. Again Steve helped me with the design decisions, and provided valuable feedback on what would look good and what wouldn’t. The quality of both the products and installation is fantastic; we are very pleased and our friends very impressed. The guy doing all the work has been very polite; I’ve given him a key as I’m not always around and he’s tended to turn up at 8am and leave between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. The latest has been around 7:30pm this week as they are looking to complete the installation. He also asked if he could work Saturdays but that wasn’t convenient for us. In terms of disruption, I’m fortunate that I have a spare room and a garage and they have over taken both these, to store all the products and cut tiles etc. Cleary, there will be disruption in terms of drilling, breaking up the tiles, turning off water, gas etc but that can’t be helped. The stairs have been covered with protective covering for the duration and are hoovered every evening before he leaves. In terms of issues, I have tended to pick these up with Steve direct. For example, I wanted to increase the water pressure and Steve arranged for 3 different plumbers to provide quotes, finding them and explaining the problem to them. In design terms, he has arranged for the underfloor heating controls to be changed when I said I didn’t like what had been installed. He undertakes visits during the installation to check on the quality of the work. One thing to take into consideration is the ability to provide some space for them to work in (which won’t be your own again until the work is completed). Hope this helps. Our project was to replace the old ensuite bathroom that did not look like it was built long time ago by previous owner and replace it with high quality ensuite wet room. However, the old bathroom had number of problems including cracked tiles, leakage, broken fan and poorly installed shower head etc. As we were concerned about finding a quality design/builder that would install our bathroom with high quality workmanship, it took us sometime to think carefully who to choose. Charles Christians stood out in the respect that cost were known in advance and the work and design were done to a very high standard. While they are not the cheapest, the CCB provided an excellent service from start to finish, advising and fixing any problems. Their main installer was excellent in carrying out the assigned work to build our wet room and highlighted any issues during the installation. Throughout the project, Steve has always been there when required. The result of the new bathroom was up to our high expectations and suits people who have very busy life and don't have time to micro manage projects.

I hired this company to carry out a complete bathroom renovation in my home. There was a team of three working on the bathroom. The whole job was carried out very professionally, they were clean and mindful of the fact that they were working in my home. They ensured that I was happy with every aspect of the build as the project went on. I ended up with a beautiful, luxury bathroom that was very well thought out and designed. I would highly recommend this company!

Work was done to a very high standard. Subcontractors did excellent work, performed on time, cleaned up after themselves, and kept us apprised of questions/issues.
