Justin Grebasch, the President and CEO, personally assumed responsibility for the project, showcasing unparalleled industry expertise and professionalism. This led us to entrust Thermally Broken Steel with additional facets of the project, such as the meticulous design and engineering of our glass floor—an endeavor in which Justin and his team of meticulous draftsmen went above and beyond to transform our vision into reality. Further, we enlisted TBS to spearhead the creation of our loft bedroom glass wall with operable sections, resulting in an exceptional outcome. Their dedication extended to crafting fluted glass elements for both restrooms and meticulously designing and fabricating an intricate exterior railing system. This system, required to adhere to specific criteria and restrictions imposed by NY Landmarks and NY DOB, seamlessly integrates with a custom cast iron loading dock, emulating the appearance of railway tracks. This collaborations originated from their initial contract to fabricate a historically accurate, oversized exterior glass and steel door, and a oversized window. The exemplary quality and craftsmanship of each product, delivered punctually and even ahead of schedule in some instances, are among our favorite aspects of our new home. What a nightmare our Brooklyn brownstone reno has turned out to be with the GC’s slow pace, demands for more money, misrepresentations, failure to follow plans, ghosting, incompetent project management, etc. So, what a pleasure to deal with Justin at TBS. He supplied a 14 foot by 7.5 foot window wall (French doors flanked by two fixed panels on 15” grid framing. On time, on budget (at a very attractive price), excellent build quality. We had an issue with aligning the hinges and Justin had the answer; we had a problem with our installer losing two hinge caps and Justin replaced them, gratis; we got clear, accurate, prompt responses to all our questions throughout. This company is truly extraordinary in the way it executes its business. Wish there were more like it.

One note before I get to this very positive review: I have seen pictures of the final product and they have been delivered to a local storage unit, but I have not seen them in person or had them installed yet. I will update this review when that happens. With that caveat aside, working with Justin and Thermally Broken Steel has been a pleasure. When my wife and I started to look for high-quality metal doors for our historic renovation, I became very frustrated trying to navigate the marketplace and it's strange interplay between suppliers, brands, and retailers. Working with TBS, we were able to cut through all of that and just get what we wanted, and at a great value. We purchased four large bronze exterior French doors along with 5 other windows. The responsive service, advice, and problem-solving were all great. Highly recommended.

Justin was very responsive and always helpful throughout the entire process. The custom doors we ordered were of unmatched quality and really made the difference on our new build. They took a while to arrive (as originally disclosed by Justin), but were definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended if you want a special product unlike anything else you'll see on the market.

I've had a great experience with Thermally Broken Steel. We ordered a custom wall of windows/doors (with the entire thing approximately 11 x 8 feet), as well as another separate (but matching) door. Justin was super responsive and very communicative / helpful throughout the entire process. Our doors arrived yesterday, and Justin was instrumental in making sure we were able to coordinate the delivery. We haven't yet installed the doors, but I'll post a pic / provide an update when they are installed. We can't wait to see them installed!
