TRP did a complete kitchen renovation for us and the challenges they faced were substantial. We have an older house with uneven ceilings, our floors needed to be redone, our island was a solid 10 feet long, and our family decided to stay in the house during construction. If that wasn't enough, we were also needing to install bookcases in the adjoining living room, fix a leaky shower on the second floor that had put a giant stain in the living room ceiling, and then add shoe molding to the entire first floor, on account of some poor planning from a prior general contractor. We agreed on a start and end date, and Tom and his team (and he has a wonderful, experienced team) delivered on the completion before the end date. All told, our kitchen reno and related work in the dining room took 11 weeks. Tom was at our worksite nearly everyday, even on the weekends, checking in on details big and small, and he always put "the right people, in the right place, at the right time," as he is fond of saying. This was an education for us in what a full service contractor business looks like when it has a mature operations structure, with stellar office staff and stellar craftsmen. In addition, we just really liked Tom's demeanor, communication style, and evident care for our house and family. Our project was a big investment, and we could not be happier that we put our trust in Tom.

TRP Construction exceeded all our expectations and created the home my wife had dreamed of out of our neglected, twenty-five year old raised ranch. Selecting the right General Contractor is crucial when planning a renovation. In our searches we found ourselves returning to TRP Construction time and again. Tom Prete’s customer reviews really convinced us to select TRP Construction. The reviews, and, of course, the images of his work. Tom and his Designer, Chris, worked with my wife as she meticulously explained what she wanted in the whole-house renovation. My wife, Barbara’s vision of her home was realized as TRP Construction transformed our sad little raised ranch into everything she wanted and specified. The job entailed a new roof, new siding, new windows and doors, new deck, opening up the living space through removal of walls, a new kitchen, a custom bath specially crafted to accommodate Barbara’s disabilities, a new bath downstairs, new flooring throughout, fresh paint, new doors and lighting fixtures, new appliances, mounting new TV’s, installation of two Ring cameras and motion detecting flood lights, and installation of a large, new, wood-burning stove. The result was breathtaking and brought tears to Barbara’s eyes the first time she got to see everything. As we look back on our renovation “journey” each of us totally agree that the renovation is way more then just lumber, and tiles, and tools. This renovation was so successful because of the people we were fortunate to have involved in it. Tom and Chris were both superb and were always just an email or a phone call away to answer our questions and reassure us of things throughout the whole process. While we weren’t Tom’s only customers, WE FELT LIKE WE WERE. We want to emphasize one very important and extraordinary fact about this renovation. That is that EVERY person on Tom’s construction team, and every sub-contractor, and every vendor Tom referred us to, were ALL unbelievably fantastic! We really mean that. After signing the contract for the job Tom supplied us with a list of “Preferred Vendors” to work with. Every one of them from plumbing suppliers, to lighting fixture suppliers, to tile experts, to cabinet suppliers, to flooring suppliers, to appliance dealers, to stone crafters, to window, door, and siding suppliers, to fixture suppliers, right down to the Wood Stove dealer…..every single one was fantastic to work with. These folks would all be welcome guests in our home any time. Now here is the really weird part…..We’re beginning to miss them all.

Selecting TRP Construction for my new dormer bathroom was one of the best decisions I have made. Tom is exceptionally professional, reliable, talented, and also an excellent communicator. I was nervous about the project but everything went smoothly. The project was completed on time and on budget--thanks to Tom and his team. And their work was of the highest quality. An Amazing Professional & Trustworthy Contractor. TRP Construction and Tom Prete have completely gutted and rebuilt a kitchen, a bath and a master bath, plus renovated two other baths. For my mother’s home, Tom and his crew brought the kitchen and upstairs bath down to the studs and joists and rebuilt a stunning kitchen and remarkable bath with a walk-in shower. For my home, they took the master bath down to the studs and joists and replaced the tub-shower enclosures in two other baths with walk-in showers. Bottom line – major work at two different properties. The quality of the work in the kitchen and the 4 bathrooms is beyond superb, and to exacting professional standards. Tom’s designer Christine helped guide us to consider all the nitty-gritty details that comes with redesigning space, and she was present for the launch – and made sure everything would fit and everything was in its proper space. The end results in every single room are simply amazing. That alone is reason to hire TRP Construction. But the real reason is that Tom made renovating our home fun. Our three-bathroom project took approximately three months. Tom would not start until all materials were ordered and almost all were on site. Every single workday (Mon-Fri), Tom let us know who was coming to the door – and every single time someone showed up. The specific trades were uniformly timely, polite and expert craftsmen. There were no surprises, there were no unreasonable delays, and when issues came up (which they will always do), Tom and his team resolved them promptly, and always on the side of what would look better and last longer. You get to know someone pretty well through two major renovations – one of which was on-going where you live. Tom Prete and his team are what all contractors should be – professional, timely, honest, creative (in the best possible way) – while delivering a superb level of workmanship. I cannot recommend TRP Construction enough. If you are lucky enough to get on their dance card, you won’t regret it. I am attaching pictures of the master bathroom, which is in a contemporary home with bizarre angles – the pictures really do not do it justice but believe me that the bathroom is simply stunning. We had Tom and his team redo our entire first floor! They moved the kitchen, rearranged the bathroom location, created a primary bedroom first floor suite with walk in and our dream bathroom. From the very beginning we had a feeling about Tom. That feeling never subsided throughout our project. Chrissy's designs were perfect! Tom's team from his guys to the subs he brought on were fabulous. We lived through the construction w/ 2 kids, a dog and my husband and I working from home. We came across a few changes but all of it was handled professionally and with care. We enjoyed working w/ the team and seeing them from 7:30 - 5:00. They became part of the family! The end result was exactly what we had wanted and has improved the flow of the house immensely! I would 100% recommend TRP to anyone looking for a class act! Thank you Tom and your team :)

We can’t say enough good things about TRP Construction! Tom, Christina, Bob, Ben, and the rest of the crew really went above and beyond for our first floor remodel (bathroom, laundry/pantry room, custom seating/storage bench in kitchen, living room with gas fireplace, custom mantel and bookshelves). We are so pleased with the end result and look forward to employing them in the future for more projects. Each team member was prompt and very communicative. They were all respectful of our wishes and were quick to address any questions that we had. Christina and Tom really made it easy to plan with their list of vendors, and the custom work crafted by Bob is just stunning. We really appreciate their attention to detail. Retirement meant that my husband and I could “come home” to the town I grew up in and where my brothers and sisters live. We found a lovely, old house that needed an enormous amount of work. We couldn’t consider buying it unless we had a Contractor that would be willing and able to tackle such a huge project. Some would call it a stroke of very good luck, I call it an answer to my prayer that we connected with TRP Construction! Tom Prete is an absolute gem! His follow thorough, attention to detail and incredibly high standard of workmanship never wavered one bit during the year long, total house renovation. Tom is truly the best of the best! TRP’s designer, Christina Hartman is an extremely talented women; she was able to take the less than clear ideas rattling around in my imagination and make actual renderings out of them. From those renderings Tom and his excellent team ( Bob, Sokol, Ray, Kevin, Steve and Ben) were able to bring into existence what I had only imagined.. Actually thought, the house they created is far better than what I even imagined! TRP works with a group of trade professionals who are all skilled, respectful and helpful. For our small project, we worked with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, drywall, painters and tile installers. Each team knew there precise task, and performed very well. Each team member was polite, and eager to work their aspect of the project.

We used Tom and team for our new (first) home and could not be happier we did! They did a BEAUTIFUL job and were responsive to us along the way, not to mention considerate of our budget! Don’t look anywhere else - they are a fantastic group!

We used TRP Construction to renovate the basement of my parents' raised ranch. We now live as a multigenerational blended family thanks to this remodel. From our first interaction, they worked on a timely basis, listened to our vision of what we wanted, provided input about different possibilities for improvements, and were amazing communicators. My wife and I just had a new laundry room renovation completed by Tom and his amazing crew. We certainly challenged his team as this project was unusual due to the new location. TRP Constructions is great! Tom Prete and his staff did a major renovation for our home. The finished project is amazing. The project scope included significant interior demo and a new kitchen, dining room, and living room interior. The work tasks included structural changes to create a new open plan interior; replacing a picture window with an 8’ wide patio door w/access to a rear deck; removal of wood paneling which was replaced with sheet rock (after electrical and heating system upgrades). We now have a bright new kitchen with new cabinets, new hardwood flooring, quartz counter tops, stainless appliances, and recessed ceiling accent lighting. We also have a new living room interior. The finished project has high quality workmanship and the contract price was competitive. Tom was here every day doing the work and /or checking on the work. The aggressive work schedule was held to and went smoothly. There were a few subcontractors who all arrived promptly when needed and did excellent work. Tom and his staff were all professional, friendly and accommodating to our needs. There were a few small changes due to hidden existing conditions in a 60 year old home. Tom took care of these extras with no project delays and the extra work was fairly priced. I highly recommend TRP Construction for any renovation project you are considering. Thank you TOM! We hired TRP (Tom Prete) to help remodel 2.5 baths in Summer of 2018. For years we had done with just one working toilet, and in the year prior to 2018, was down to showering at the gym for fear of leaks in the showers/tubs. As you can tell, we were apprehensive about strangers in our home, and also, worried that we would not find someone who would be honest and trustworthy. We met with 3 different contractors to discuss our needs. Tom showed up on time, and was professional in understanding what our concerns were -- not only about leaks that were unresolved but also about being on a strict budget. Tom understood our budget needs, and was able to give advice about where we might go to find options and how we could reduce costs (e.g., not having bathtub walls hand-tiled, as much as we would have loved that). He was prompt in delivering a detailed contract with up front costs so we knew what we needed to budget for. He always returns calls/texts right away, so you can always be in communication with him. His work ethic is impeccable and unbeatable! His crew of electricians, plumbers, painters, tiling guy etc. were all great -- they were professional and friendly...and patient with us. They were able to do a demo in one day and always made sure there were drop cloths around...even showing up on rainy days to do the work. In the midst of our big project, a family emergency occurred (not involving our ability to pay!) and when I called Tom, he was immediately sympathetic and willing to postpone our project for a bit so we could manage our emergency. While I was worried he'd be upset b/c we were throwing off a timeline, he was enormously kind and understood we needed some time. The end product was great -- we have 2.5 shiny new bathrooms that are modern and feel brand spanking new. When we noticed that the tub stopper that I bought was not the right one (after the job was complete), Tom had his plumber come back and took care of the issue. Lou, Tom's electrician, is so wonderful and my mom was utterly charmed by him. We are very pleased with our remodel and would happily recommend TRP to friends/families/random people we meet on the street.

Tom was obviously a professional with extensive experience that was invaluable in suggesting ideas, being accurate with his quotes and most importantly, in the quality of the work. He and his crew were always timely each day as well as with the overall timeline of the two projects that TRP did for us. Their work area was always clean, and we were always very comfortable around his crews. The finished product looked as if it was part of the original build of the home. We get compliments on the fit and finish of the bathroom and with the built-in entertainment center in the family room. We will not be considering anyone else for our next project!

Wow, we were so pensive about remodeling our 20 year old "new house" and debated it several times. We got proposals from 3 contractors and are so very pleased to say the least that we chose TRP Construction. They went above and beyond every promise that they made to us. They are the most professional contractors we've ever known of. Indeed we sure have some jealous friends now. Our kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom look better than we dreamed of them being. We smile each time we look at what's been done to our dated home. Initial thoughts were to sell in 3 years or so. Current thoughts are why would we leave these surroundings. I'm so proud and satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship. The concern for our absolute satisfaction was in the air from proposal through completion. We’ve had Tom do a couple of projects on our house and could not be happier with him. First we had replacement windows installed and then we had our bathroom remodeled. We converted our bathtub area into a walk in shower. Tom and his team were a pleasure to work with during both projects. Tom’s professionalism and ease to work with are his greatest traits. Tom met with us numerous times throughout the bathroom remodel to determine our budget, needs and wants. He was always willing to offer professional advice and solutions to our design concerns. Tom stepped in when necessary to work with the vendors and contractors to ensure the project stayed on track and was completed within the time frame provided. Tom was available any time we had a question or issue that needed to be resolved. Even now that the project has been completed, he still makes himself available for any tweaks or adjustments that need to be done. We can't recommend TRP highly enough. Right from the start, Tom's attention to detail was evident. He provided us with the most detailed written estimate by far out of the contractors we met with. Once the work was started, he kept on schedule and on budget. He and his crew always left the house spotless and even had a cleaning crew come in once the in-law apartment was done so that it was meticulous! He does beautiful, quality work and he has integrity, which is the MOST important quality in a contractor. We trusted him implicitly and now are left with a beautiful space that we can enjoy for years to come. When we have another project, big or small, we will call Tom. We know that he will meet our needs and exceed our expectations.

TRP Construction renovated a small master bath for us. From our original contact with Tom, through the completion of the project, we were more than happy with the outcome. The proposal was detailed, discussed and changed as necessary so there were no questions as to the work to be performed. All subcontractors were timely, professional and left the site clean at the end of each day. We were kept informed of progress and knew who to expect and when. Tom was always available when questions arose and was on the site almost daily. Because of the size of the bathroom, some issues arose. Tom and his subs resolved them professionally and to everyone's satisfaction. Tom and his crew were clean, courteous and professional. Their ideas and suggestions were extremely helpful. The project was within budget and was started and completed on time. We highly recommend them and intend to contact Tom for another project.
