Tru lofts crushed the competition! Trust me when I say we did all the shopping around for you. After getting quotes from no less than a dozen companies our decision was very easy. No other company we spoke with had anywhere near the knowledge or expertise that Chris and his team at Tru Lofts had when it came to our high ceiling addition. After reading their reviews on Houzz we decided to get a quote from them. What initially started as an idea to convert our high ceiling into open loft ended up being an additional bedroom with a technology center at essentially the same cost. We provided an idea for what we were thinking and after taking measurements of our home they came back with a design that far exceeded our expectations. Since they specialize in high ceiling conversions they were able to give us an accurate quote unlike other companies who wanted us to provide architectural plans before they could even give us a ballpark figure. From the few companies that did give us a quote, without plans Tru Lofts blew all of those out of the water. Converting our high ceiling to living space was far more affordable than doing an addition to our existing structure. Not only do we get to enjoy the space while living in the home, but the increase in home value vastly outweigh the cost of this project. I could not have hired a better firm to work on my loft addition. From start to finish, the entire team was a pleasure to work with. Chris came out to do my initial consultation to build out an estimate and provided valuable recommendations which I incorporated into the final plan. The project was a bit complicated as I wanted to allocate a portion of the new space to include a new walk-in bathroom and connect it to an existing bedroom. This required additional design and planning to extend hot & cold water supply, HVAC and sewage extended out to the new bathroom. Chris and Rene came out multiple times to re-assess the design plan before giving me an extremely competitive quote. Willis and Mary in the back office ensured I was constantly updated and made the HOA approvals/permitting and plan check process headache free. The buildout team headed by Rene are true craftsmen of their trade. The demolition and construction went extremely fast without sacrificing quality. Rene and the team treated the buildout as if it were their own home and ensured every detail was up to his high-quality standards. End result is a homeowner that could not find any flaws in the build quality. The new addition space blends right into the existing structure. No one would be able to tell an addition was constructed long after the original home was built. Thanks again, Truadditions! I now have an amazing office space, and my daughter has an impressive newly expanded bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom!

We looked for a construction company that specializes in loft additions or rooms with second floor ceilings that were popular building in the 2000-2010s. We found them through houzz and other website searches. We were pleasantly surprised that everything that was advertised was true! Beginning to end plans and engineering. Acquiring the permit and other logistic concerns. Matching existing structure style and finishes. The construction was very courteous and kind to our household while working in it. Also the timelines they set once started were true! No delays within their control. One window that took forever because of pandemic related issues but still not delay to our job because it was timed when it arrived. Very happy and grateful. Recommended to our friends and family looking at other similar jobs.

We used TRUAdditions because they were significantly more affordable and had sooner openings than the alternative company that many people use in our area. I’m glad we used them because we saved money, and their team was great! Very easy to communicate with and did beautiful work.

We just finished our project with Truaddition we added a room for my daughter and bathroom . They are very professional and always on time they did an amazing job looks so beautiful and the best part it was so fast 6 weeks I love the team and the most important it’s feel like a family most of the people that working are not subcontractors and very organized which is a big plus in construction the prices are very reasonable and they are Super clean . Dreams do come true! We always envisioned adding a room to our 16ft ceiling. Tru additions helped make that dream a reality. This company was the best since day 1. Chris and his team helped us design the room to fit our space and guided us through every step of the process. Their construction crew were all so friendly and did a wonderful job cleaning up after each day. They knew it was hard for us to live in the space during the construction with two kids so they made it a priority to get the job done in a very timely manner. We were so pleased with everything and working with Rene and his team was a pleasure. My son really enjoyed having all the workers around especially Rene. TRUADDITIONS were TRUprofessionals from start to finish! My initial contact was via email inquiry and within 24 hours, I received a call from Chris Doering, the founder/CEO (TruPlans). We immediately felt at ease with him. We had so many questions and concerns. We didn't know where or how to begin this process. Chris quickly helped us understand that what felt like a complex and daunting project to us, was routine for Chris and his team. He provided what felt like an endless list of references and images of projects recently completed by TruAdditions. After several initial Zoom meetings, Chris came out to our house and met with us to discuss our options. It was clear that he didn't need to push a hard sell on us. We were actually encouraged to speak with other contractors and to receive other bids so we did. In hindsight, there really was no competition. The level of professionalism and experience with TruAdditions was clearly unmatched and we knew we didn't want to entrust our home to anyone else. Chris helped us transform our somewhat cloudy vision into a spectacular reality. Through every step of the process, the communication was clear and consistent. We never wondered what was going on or felt in the dark about anything. Once we committed to TruAdditions and signed the contract, we were introduced to our project manager, Stephany. She was so much fun to work with and made the process painless. Stephany was always there with a prompt and friendly response to all of our questions (and we had a lot!). As we neared the actual construction process, we were introduced to the Owner /Contractor, Rene DeLeon. Just like Stephany and Chris, Rene was a gem of a person and so easy to work with. He made us feel at ease about the build process and clearly explained the entire process. Rene's entire crew is a representation of there foreman. Each and every one of them was kind, thorough, and hardworking. They took great care of and were very respectful to our home. Considering all the dust kicked up by a project of this size, they left it clean and organized every night. We were told that the build would take 3 weeks. We thought this seemed like a lofty goal and were ready for a much longer process. To our delight, the TruAdditions team completed the construction of our 2-room loft addition within the projected 3 week window. We could not be more pleased with the finished product. The quality of work is exemplary, it is impossible to tell that our new loft addition wasn't part of the original floorplan. We are so happy we invited TruAdditions into our home. I'm a professional civil engineer, my wife a teacher/performing musician. We reached out to multiple General Contractors and narrowed it down to two firms. Chris with Truadditions had innovated ideas for our project/concept so we ended up going with them. As a condo/townhouse, we had to get approval with both the City and our HOA. And this process went smooth. Rene and his crew performing the work were incredible, professional and respectful. Our place was promised to be clean and it truly was. We've had nightmare situations with previous construction in our place. The finish and quality was top notch and City inspector was very happy with their work. In lieu of spending additional 400k to get into a house, we were able to get the same square footage with our existing place at a fraction of the cost rolled up into a refinancing loan. Highly recommend Truadditions. The only hiccup we had was with our windows due to supply chain issues which everyone was having to deal with. We've recommended Truadditions to our friends and would definitely reach out to them again.

I had an amazing experience with TruAdditions and TruPlans from the start of the design to the end of the construction. Both Chris's team and Rene's team have worked diligently on the project. I was worried the city would not approve my plans but fortunately Chris's team met with me at the city to talk directly to the senior planner and we were approved to design my dream ADU. Once design completed Rene's team took over in the construction. From the get go, Rene's team was working from day to night almost every chance they get to complete each phase of the construction. I really appreciate that! I also appreciate Rene for checking in with me regularly to make sure I was happy with how things were going. Lastly, I appreciate that he was particularly thoughtful in providing electrical outlets at convenient places which I didn't think we need and it has been very helpful. One piece of advice I would give to anyone who sign up with any construction company is to know exactly how you want your project to turn out from the beginning. The more thought you put into your project at the beginning the happier you'll be in the end because you would have communicated what your desires were to the contractor and would leave less room for them to guess because their interpretation of what you want may not be what you want and so if you're not satisfied with something down the line, it may be costly. I did exactly just that and am very satisfied with the turnout. Good luck and thanks TruAdditions/TruPlans for your business! Thank you True Additions for diligently working the 60 sf ft loft with railings, shelves, and support electrical, sprinkler, low voltage, and AC ducting so that the addition looks original, and not look like an addition. True Plans created the Permit drawings for True Additions to execute. True Additions mobilized quickly after City Plan Check, constructed the sturdy framing, coordinated City inspections, and completed the drywall and especially the stair railing with quality. They were respectful of the job site being lived in, protected existing finishes, and were flexible with some construction details.

We started our process with TruAdditions after seeing the amazing work they did on our neighbor's house. Our neighbor raved about their work and work ethic. When we decided to expand our balcony, we knew we wanted to use TruAdditions as well. The design process started with Chris and Jake as they helped us fine tune our design. They were VERY patient with us and all our questions and requests to modify the design. TruAdditions also took care of the whole process of getting city approval and also communicated with our HOA. TruAdditions kept us updated during the wait time with the city and kept us informed on the timeline for our project. Our project started right on time and was estimated to take 3-4 months. Rene was our contractor and very thorough in blocking off areas in our home to prevent dust and dirt from construction. Rene was on site every day working and monitoring his crew. We have never had a contractor so thorough and invested in making sure we were happy with all their work. The whole crew was extremely polite, neat and clean. The crew worked efficiently and effectively to get the job done in 7 short weeks! This included complete build out over our balcony, adding a patio slider door and re-doing our entire staircase. The photos in the review include the before and after of the front of our house, the mock up of our finished house, and also our new staircase. Every detail was taken care of by Rene and the rest of the team: Jake, Lorena, Mary, Chris and the entire construction team (Carlos and others). They literally did not stop working until we were 100% satisfied with the work. We LOVE our new home and will definitely recommend TruAdditions to our friends/family (in fact, we already have!). If you are looking for a low-stress (as much as possible) remodel experience, then TruAdditions is the team you need to hire!
