It was so serendipitous to have pulled into KBR Kitchen & Bath. I'd gone there to simply look at countertops and shower tile for the reconstruction of my condo following a significant fire. I was introduced to Oz, whose knowledge/experience/professionalism shown through immediately. I not only left with quartz and tile selections but with an alternative, greatly improved option to the re-design of my kitchen floorplan. Oz is truly a 'wizard'. He provided tremendous 'value-add' on this first visit. I would highly recommend his services.

Abysmal experience. Zero oversight. Over a year and counting for a SIX WEEK PROJECT. They and their subcontractors damaged (among smaller things): my existing oven, my existing refrigerator, my backyard turf, my new hardwood floors they installed, and my dishwasher. Cupboards are not aligned, drawers are not aligned, cabinet hardware put on crooked, exposed nails in numerous places, one cupboard damaged, undermount lighting flickering, broke through the linen closet, broke through the closet in my childs' room, failed to protect the bottom floor of the home under where the kitchen was and trash and debris covered the room under the kitchen, messes left for days, potfiller still not producing consumable water after over a year, etc... Do you think the project manager noticed any of this? NOPE. He was here, I believe 4 times total other than when he was collecting checks, trying to get me to upgrade or pushing me to sign off on things poorly or incompletely done. And not once on time (fortunately I was working from home). Be prepared to be your own project manager and you better check everything carefully. Take lots of pictures. At the outset, I did sign off on a design that seemed to look nice on the computer, but I was never warned that it was drastic overkill for my space. Like, exponentially the amount of storage that a kitchen 2x my size should have! Again, not once was it suggested to me that this may be too much! No checking of soffits was done, so I incurred $3000 thanks to their failure to check what was behind the soffits in the existing kitchen. They did however attempt to upsale, as the Project Manager and two others from the company office acted as though there was a big emergency the day or two after construction started and wanted me to redo the INSIDE of my ceiling for an additional $1500! I asked, is it a danger? No. Is it otherwise not to code? No. Then No - I have better things to spend money on other than a ceiling interior, especially when you simultaneously inform me you failed to check the soffits and need an extra $3k. Their one contribution to design was to try to get me to NOT do the niches on either side of my oven (which was my idea and I love having), I think because the amount they quoted me wasn't worth their time. Finally, since my kitchen had been redone approximately 1.5 years before this work was started (I bought a new-to-me-home), I asked if I could keep the existing white shaker cabinets and just purchase new ones where needed. They said yes, and that was the plan. However, they never informed me that the two whites were different colors, so now I have paid FIVE FIGURES for a kitchen where the cupboards don't match and are two shades of white. Garbage was left for days both inside and outside my home, no communication as to when noise levels would be such that I'd need to be out of the house, constant follow up required by ME, not them, to finish the job, which remains ongoing. Nightmare. Run.

KBR remodeled our kitchen in Bethesda, MD, last fall. We bought a 1930s Cape Cod, which had an old galley kitchen and a separate dining room accessed through a narrow hallway. KBR worked with us to design a new open plan space, tearing out the hallway and the wall between the kitchen and dining room, and adding a peninsula. We tore out the old linoleum and parquet floors and laid hardwood to match our living room, in addition to redoing the cabinets and countertops. The result is a totally new space that makes me happy every time I walk into it. Our designer Deniz Somnez was great to work with -- patient, and a detail-oriented perfectionist. Marlon, our technician, felt like a part of our family by the time the project finished. Home renovations are always stressful, but KBR made ours as painless as possible. I would definitely recommend them.

KBR did a fantastic job with my kitchen. They thought of everything, were prompt, and easy to work with. I would absolutely hire them again.

We had some extra expenses due to their mistakes. They remodeled the kitchen and a few months later, I found out I had no power in the living room. I had an electrician come and he figured out the problem, which they caused. To their credit, KBR fixed their mistake but I didn't get a refund for the electrician. Recently, about 18 months after install, the under counter lighting stopped working. We investigated, and turned out it was installed backward, which caused the whole set to break. Carelessness.

Happy with KBR’s remodel of my condo kitchen. Designer Fatih suggested nice materials within the budget. The work was substantially completed right on time in 3 weeks. Technicians Luis and Alberto worked hard every day and quickly fixed small things that arose during the project (eg, leaky disposal, reversing a door, and replacing damaged cabinets). My neighbors said that they were considerate and left the common areas very clean. I have stacked laundry in the kitchen, and KBR didn't install it properly, BUT they reimbursed the cost of re-installation by the appliance company. KBR takes customer satisfaction seriously.

We just finished remodeling our two master baths. One was a complete remodel down to the studs, reconfiguring, and rebuilding. The other was more modest where the original footprint remained intact. We were not sure exactly what we wanted, and we worked with KBR Designer Silviya to design a bathroom that we now love. She was more than patient as she guided us through the seemingly endless options including basic design and selection of materials. She was extremely knowledgeable and had great ideas that we incorporated into our projects. Once we settled on what wanted, Project Manager Huseyin and his crew took over the construction. Like Silviya, the crew was exceptionally talented and completed the project with a minimum of disturbance. Everyone at KBR was very professional, easy to work with, and flexible. Remodeling can be extraordinarily stressful and disruptive, but KBR easily overcame the obstacles and produced wonderful results. We would highly recommend them.

KBR Kitchen & Bath did a wonderful job with my bathroom remodel. The work was done in a professional and timely manner. The finished product looks amazing and Cemil was great to work with. I would definitely use them again in the future and recommend KBR without hesitation.

KBR is the BEST! They helped us remodel our kitchen and were fantastic along every step of the way, from design, budgeting and completion. The finished product is BEAUTIFUL and has completely transformed our house.

The KBR staff was easy to work with and clearly devoted to excellent communication with clients...which was much appreciated and helped immensely to reduce the stress associated with any remodel. They repeatedly demonstrated that their interest was ensuring a quality remodel, and when unanticipated problems arose (and they always will!) We hired KBR Kitchen and Bath (Fairfax, VA) to remodel our master bathroom and powder room in late 2018 and are extremely happy with the final results. From the outset working with our designer Silviya, through the entire construction process led by the project manager Huseyin along with Dany and A.J., KBR’s entire crew was professional, friendly and easy to work with. As our designer, Silviya made things a lot easier. There are so many choices to make, but she listened to our preferences and helped guide us in our decisions without any pressure. She was very accessible and quickly responded to all of our questions. KBR’s estimate was in the middle of the five quotes we received for the project. The job started on time and was completed within budget and actually a few days ahead of schedule. Dany arrived daily with the rest of the crew on the project and worked alongside them each day. He was extremely friendly and helpful, and kept the project going in an organized and efficient manner. The crews arrived when expected and worked very hard. Huseyin was the project manager and was always available to address any concerns or answer questions we had during the project. We were impressed by the way KBR really listened to us, answering our questions and coming up with solutions to any problems or concerns. They lived up to Dany’s promise of treating our home like it was their own home, taking the extra time to make sure things were done right, and making sure we were happy. We would highly recommend KBR and would not hesitate to hire them again on any future remodeling projects.

We just finished our master bath remodel and could not be happier. We had five quotes for this project and only Silviya sent a quote with estimated costs without having to visit the showroom first. When we went to discuss our design, Silviya was very professional and knowledgeable and remembered every detail we discussed weeks earlier in our home. Our technician, Kai, was absolutely amazing, working 5-6 days a week. He was a perfectionist and his work was top notch. The end result was better that we could have hoped for. I look forward to having KBR and Kai come back to remodel my other two bathrooms.

We had 3 bathrooms done at once - the Master Bath, Hall Bath, and Powder Room. Belle was amazing and she helped us every step of the way - from design layout to choices for tile, countertop, paint, etc. We could not have done this without her, and we are so pleased with the results. Sometimes I walk into our newly remodeled bathrooms and I don't want to leave - it looks fantastic and very calming, just as planned. What I liked most about Belle was her honesty. She wasn't pushy, but if I had picked something out that she thought would not work, she'd let me know, and this is exactly what I wanted from her - she has the design skills, she's done this many times before, and this is why we picked KBR. Same goes for the rest of the crew. They were very professional, they knew what they were doing, I could tell they've done this before many times, and if I had a question about anything, someone was always there to respond. For every issue that came up, they responded promptly. I couldn't believe the end result - it was so much nicer than I could have imagined! They completed the contract within the agreed upon timeframe. We did have some change orders, but these were due to unforeseen issues that came up during the renovation, or they were requested add-ons. And so overall, we couldn't be more pleased and we highly recommend this firm for their professionalism and quality work!

Excellence, perfection, and quality best describes KBR Kitchen and Bath of Bethesda, Maryland. After meeting with four top (A) rated companies from Angie’s List for kitchen estimates, KBR was the only company to provide an actual (kitchen design –in 3D format), while other companies submitted worded descriptions devoid of any creatively or imagination. KBR sent kitchen designer Catherine Harvey to my home, who immediately offered functional design ideals, sketches, material guidance, and budgetary advice to support the best design. Mrs. Harvey’s knowledge of construction and materials was beyond impressive, to include her artistic design execution. As a result, Mrs. Harvey submitted a 4-page kitchen design estimate complete with a 3D design illustration, pricing, and additional sketches. The type of professional estimate you would expect after watching DYI television or the Home and Garden channel (awesome). I immediately hired KBR of Bethesda to renovate my kitchen. After accepting the estimate, I met with Mrs. Harvey at KBR Bethesda headquarters to pick out my materials and to sign the finial contract for construction. Mrs. Harvey presented four designs of top quality material within my budget (see photos) with additional material options. Next, I selected my design and then read over the contract for construction. The contract was very well written, which covered start and completion dates, a detailed construction outline, materials, and flexible dates for unforeseen emergencies. What is more, Mrs. Harvey explained my next meeting would be with project manager Adam Salniturk, who would conduct a walkthrough of the kitchen and introduce me to the construction tech. Project manager Adam Salniturk conducted a comprehensive walkthrough of my kitchen and the construction process, while introducing me to my construction tech Carlos Chicas. Mr. Chicas provided construction updates each day explaining his work and progress. As a result, the kitchen project finished ahead of schedule by 1 and a half weeks (outstanding job). KBR of Bethesda surrounds themselves with a very eclectic group of talented people. People that take pride in their work and care about customer needs. Mrs. Harvey proved to be an exceptional designer, Mr. Salniturk was a firsthand manager, and Mr. Chicas exceptionally talented in every area of construction; each demonstrated great teamwork, pride and coordination. Talent like this is hard to find in today’s home improvement climate. If you want to do good business, I highly recommend KBR Kitchen and Bath of Bethesda. (I’m hiring them back to renovate my master bathroom next year)

KBR Kitchen and Bath is currently remodeling my kitchen, dining and Bathrooms. The contractor's Crew has been amazing. The project involved a complete gut of the kitchen and bathrooms and a combining of the kitchen with dining rooms. All county inspections were conducted timely and the project is set to be completed ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend KBR for remodeling needs.

Had these guys do a small kitchen renovation. New cabinets, countertops, and create a new pantry. Overall, their communication and workmanship were very poor. The project was filled with delays. On one occasion it was delayed because the designer ordered the wrong size pantry door per the Project Manager (PM). I had to have a meeting with the PM and then the Co-Owner because the construction team thought it was appropriate to “dispose” of construction debris by leaving it in my condo breezeway overnight. This isn’t proper disposal, it’s called illegal dumping. Kitchen cabinets installed with damage to the shelves, double pantry door installed that didn’t close or open properly, had a leak under the sink less than a week after they installed a new garbage disposal. And about that garbage disposal, they broke the outer sound-proof cover and thought it was acceptable to “fix” it by wrapping black electrical tape around it. The craziest thing happened when I met with the co-owner, Ishan, to address my concerns and do a project walkthrough. He insisted I bought the Forevermark Cabinets and had paperwork indicating as such. Forevermark is their entry-level cabinetry that Ishan said was an okay product but their assembly is not good. First, we upgraded to the Kraftmaid cabinetry that has a lifetime warranty. Secondly, I was shocked he didn’t even know what we bought from him and third, it was pretty unbelievable that he gave such a poor review of the Forevermark Cabinets…..a product that he sells! By no means are these all the issues I encountered with these guys, but it gives a good indication of what they’re about. Overall, they get two stars. Despite a questionable and convoluted installation process, the final product does look good and the co-owner did credit us some money, but it was an absolute headache getting them to do their job properly. My advice to management: 1.Retrain or terminate the people that worked on this project. They didn’t seem to know what they were doing. 2.Don’t rely on the customer to ensure quality assurance. Have the Project Manager on-site and evaluate the overall workmanship of the team before passing along to the customer. 3.Do a better job of communicating to the customer. I asked numerous times that you give me 1 business day notice, so we can kennel our dogs. For some reason, this request was infrequently met. 4.It’s not always about money. Taking money off the final bill doesn’t equate to being happy with a mediocre job. I would have much rather preferred giving you the full amount after your guys did the job correctly the first time.

I am very happy with my new bathroom by KBR Kitchen & Bath, Bethesda. From the start, I felt that the showroom manager and designer, Fatih Beren, was listening to me and understood what I wanted and needed. I wanted a contractor to provide overall project management and work in a very timely way since I live in a small community condo and have only one bathroom. The project came in ahead of schedule, on budget and is a beautiful, well-functioning bathroom. Adam Sandliturk, the project manager, was on top of everything and responsive. Living in a small condo, it is important that the needs of neighbors be considered; Adam made sure that demolition debris was disposed of immediately and cleanly. Fredy Andino, the primary builder-technician, has a good design eye, was meticulous and hard-working. He had two levels, not one, of both wall tile and floor tile to remove before installing the new wall and floor tiling. KBR had a good cleaning company come in at the end to do a thorough cleanup. Communication with everyone throughout was very good. Thank you, KBR Bethesda!

First, let me say that the workmanship and professionalism displayed by KBR's technicians was excellent. We are mostly satisfied with the product, save for a few damaged cabinets described below. The issue I have with KBR resides with the “designer”, who is more like the salesperson, the lack of communication between him, his manager, the technicians, and the subcontractors, and the resistance in getting any changes in writing. The first problem started when the cabinets were installed – they were five inches too short in relation to the soffit. While I understand that the edge of the soffit and the cabinets traditionally do not line up, five inches is too noticeable. When I reviewed the blueprints that were drawn up by the designer and given to the technicians, I noted that someone crossed out the initial 136 9/16” measurement of the soffit and replaced it with 133”. This was not reflected in the same blueprints that were attached to the contract that we signed. When I asked the designer about this (over the phone while I was at work), he said that these changes normally happen as they would could not anticipate variations to the kitchen structure after demolition. This is a ridiculous statement – the soffit is fixed, was not part of the demo, and therefore should have been measured correctly in the first place. Worse, he proposed that we install a gap filler between the cabinets to extend the length, and that he needed me to approve over the phone. Not a written change order form with exact design specifications of the gap filler, just a “we just need your approval to install a gap filler”. I declined and requested that we discuss in person the design specifications of the gap filler. The next day, all the designer would show us were pictures of other gap fillers that they did in other projects. I said we wanted the gap filler to be flush with the cabinets; he repeatedly said, “it will look perfect”. It seemed like the designer would not do a change order form, so we requested to have the technicians show us the gap filler before installing it. The next day, the technicians showed up with the gap filler and how it would look installed. Unsurprisingly, it would not be flush with the cabinets. The technicians said that their instructions from the designer was “to make it as flush as possible.” I’m not a kitchen designer or in construction, but I am certain these are not terms usually used in the art. Further, “it will look perfect” is not the same as “make it as flush as possible.” We canceled this option and, in the end, decided to go with shaving a few inches off the soffit. The designer agreed to compensate us $200 for this as we would be losing some countertop space. However, that weekend, when I talked to the manager about getting the $200 credit reflected in a change order form, he said had no idea what I was talking about. Example of lack of communication. In the end, I had to repeatedly email the designer to get him to confirm the $200 credit. I do not know why I was facing this much resistance from KBR in getting anything (change orders or credits) in writing. The second problem started when the subcontractor came to install the sink. They looked at it and said they couldn’t install it because KBR did not cut open the top of the cabinet to put the sink in. No one could figure out whose responsibility it was to cut the cabinet. In the end, the designer had to tell the subcontractor over the phone where to cut the cabinet to put in the sink. Again, lack of communication. The third problem started when KBR called to schedule the final walk through. I was beside myself – how could they think the work was done when there were no handles on the cabinets! The technician who was there finishing up his work on another matter told me that he was never instructed or informed about any cabinet handles. So, again lack of communication. The fourth problem started at the final walk through. We noted several holes in the interior of the cabinets. It appeared that they were holes where the screws connecting adjacent cabinets were incorrectly drilled. Since the holes were not covered or plugged up, they were flaking wood chips onto the stored dinner ware. Additionally, the face of the one of the cabinets was damaged – either during shipping or installation. KBR tried to touch up the scratches but made it worse as the touch paint did not even remotely match the cabinets. At the walk through, the designer said that they would order a replacement face and “stickers” to cover the screw holes, but that the contract was “substantially performed” and should be closed out. I agreed, but at this point, I did not believe that they would ever follow up on these final matters. The walk through was in mid-June. On August 15, I send an email asking what the status was for the replacement face and the “stickers.” It is now September, and I have never received a response, and I don’t think I ever will.

After interviewing many companies and contractors (approximately 12), I decided to entrust the Bethesda office of KBR Kitchen and Baths with my project. The designer that I worked with, Cathy Harvey, presented me with a design and project budget that broke down all of the elements of the project. I knew exactly what I was getting and what I was paying for. As someone who works in contracting and procurement, I was very nervous about cost overruns and change orders. Cathy made sure that changes were minimal and due only to last minute design changes. The project director was Adam and the project team lead was Grover. They did an amazing job. Before the project started, the owner, the designer, project director and project lead all came by for a walk through. Adam set up a GroupMe group including me and the project team and communicated details about the project so I was always informed about what was going to be happening during the day. It was quite comforting for me to know that I could reach the entire team with a quick text. I can’t say enough about Grover and John and all of the workers. When I initially started thinking about remodeling my kitchen, I struggled with the idea that I would need to take off from work to babysit contractors. In the end, I decided to take off the first three days of the project and my significant other and I decided that one of us would go in late each day (around noon) and the other would come home early each day. After meeting Grover and being home for two days, I decided that I didn’t need to be home and that I could trust them in my home and cancelled my leave plans. (I get to take a summer vacation. Yipppee!) During the remodel, which included replacing my kitchen subfloor, Grover noticed a few issues (unforeseen site conditions) that were addressed (some without additional cost to me.) In the end, they delivered a project that was much better than I could have ever imagined. I would definitely recommend KBR. And did I mention that the project was substantially completed in three (3) weeks???!!!!??? I still can’t believe it. After three weeks, there were only minor punch list items, that KBR promptly completed. By that time, I had already moved back into my beautiful, fully functioning kitchen. Thank you, KBR!

Like any project there were hiccups through out the process, but KBR was always able to correct the issue. Armagan was great to work with and always had our interest in mind.

We hired this company for our kitchen and floors. I would recommend Armagan and Aldo. Armagan's customer service is great.

KBR did a fantastic job with our kitchen and flooring remodel. Silviya, our designer was great to communicate with and helped us pick a layout and materials that work beautifully in our home. Our project manager and technicians were professional, courteous, and neat. They installed everything with care and it all looks so beautiful. They also finished the entire project in just under 3 weeks - yes an entire kitchen demo and rebuild and all new flooring in just under three weeks! Their pricing on labor allowed us to use high end materials and we couldn't be more happy with the finished product.

Working with KBR has been a great experience. We choose them because we saw all the great reviews and now we understand why people are happy with KBR. From the day he first came over to look at our kitchen and give a quote and throughout the project they were great. The quote was little more than the others but it was still reasonable. At the end of the day they did such a great job. Their focus on details was outstanding. Great service and excellent quality!!!

KBR did a great job completely remodeling my master bathroom. They had to move plumbing, build an accent wall and a half wall, tiled the whole thing, completely new shower, tub, vanities etc. They completed it on schedule and worked seamlessly around the few issues that arose (as they would on any project). Belle, my designer, was great at helping me pick out the tile combinations and accessories, and the result is amazing. I love my new bathroom!

I cant say enough great things about this company! Very professional from showroom to finished product, Belle really worked with us finding the perfect products for our kitchen redo. The guys who came out to do the work were professional, respectful, and left it cleaner than when they started. Top quality work and products and I am so pleased with the kitchen I am going back to have a full master bath redo with KBR.

We contracted KBR for a full kitchen remodel. While the final result looks good, the project execution left us frustrated and concerned with quality. First, KBR did not employ a licensed electrician or plumber nor was the work reviewed by such. Their initial wiring violated the most basic codes and I'm confident it would have gone uncorrected if we hadn't caught it. The program manager did not return calls or keep us updated on status. Furthermore, he only checked on the subcontractor's performance once despite raising concerns on a couple occasions. The result is good but I do not recommend them.

We interviewed three different contractors for remodeling of our kitchen and KBR kitchen& Bath was by far the best, not only in terms of price, but also for their professionalism. There are several things that I liked the most about them. First, all other contractors gave us a "bulk" price that included installation and a general "cabinet package" without any specification of the type of cabinets that we would get. By contrast, Ellen at KBR worked with me for several weeks before even signing the contract. By the time we signed everything was decided and selected to the last detail. Second, there were NO surprises at all at the end of the work. We decided to do some upgrades and some were even given to us for free. The price we paid is exactly the price we decided at the beginning. There were bumps down the road, as it always happens, but they were taken care of immediately. We also knocked down a load bearing wall and that was a major disruption in the house, which was however very well handled on their side. The project was completed in exactly ONE month (August 1st demolition-September 1st the kitchen was functional), which is certainly not what I was expecting. The kitchen looks beautiful everyone who walks into the house "wows" on it. We could no be happier. As far as the price, I think a major plus is that with KBR one can really chose from a variety of price ranges depending upon the level of cabinets. In the end we opted for much more expensive options compared to the ones that would have kept us on the smaller budget that we planned in the beginning but it all worked out very well. I recommended them to friends and friends of friends.

Kitchen, powder room and partial basement remodeling Kitchen: Full remodel, including adding gas line, relocating water line and appliances, removal of bulkhead Bathroom: Full remodel Basement: fixed part of drywall, changed light fixtures and built cabinet around sump pump Cost: $51,277.00 I would give KBR a higher rating if possible. Their top priority is providing excellent customer service. They were on time every day and were very respectful of our space. They covered our floors and put up a barrier to reduce the amount of dust between the kitchen and family room. Huseyin the project manner went above and beyond in managing the on-site work. Two-three workers were at our home each day (Mon-Fri) and worked around eight hours straight each day. There estimated timeline to complete the work was six weeks, but they completed the work in five weeks and a day. We pulled permits to ensure that the work was being done accurately and the inspection passed flawlessly. The sign of an excellent company is equally important when something doesn’t go right. One Friday evening, I came home to find that there was an opening in the cabinet for a single oven even though we had bought a double oven. Within minutes of me sending a panicked email, they contacted me on a Friday evening and ensured me that this matter would be taken care of the following business day. I was told by Cemil and Silviya that they contacted me right away because they didn’t want me to worry the entire weekend. On Monday, when I returned home from work, the double oven was installed and the issue had been resolved. I also appreciate that they ask for the payment in three parts – the first third in the beginning so they can order the items needed for the renovation; the second third when they begin the work so they can pay their workers and the last third after the inspection has passed. This is significant to me because I had a couple of companies wanting 50% in the beginning and 50% after the work was completed. I would highly recommend this company as I believe they are trustworthy and really want their customers to be satisfied. I will definitely use them again for another remodeling project.

We had to have our bathroom renovated due to extensive water damage so we decided to go ahead and update our kitchen and powder room as well. I contacted about 4-5 different companies and KBR was the most responsive of all of them. In the end, they were the only company that we could get a firm estimate from so we went with them since they were so helpful. Silviya was our designer and was very patient and helpful in assisting us with our selections. It was about 3-4 weeks from selecting our options to work beginning and 4 weeks from start to finish. We had everything replaced in all 3 rooms and also had an additional unit added to our kitchen. The upstairs full bathroom included replacing plywood due to the old water damage and changing out the tub for a glass enclosed shower. Since we only have one full bath, we decided to move out of our place for the month so we could stay out of their way. During the renovation, they were also very responsive with any questions or concerns that I had. Shortly before our renovations began, our hot water heater broke and leaked and caused water damage in our living room ceiling. They also repaired the hole in the ceiling made by the restoration company to dry out the damage. I've attached some pictures but since I'm not a great photographer, they really don't do the job justice. Everything is awesome - I'm so pleased with how everything turned out. We had an amazing experience with KBR from the time we went in and picked all of the cabinets and facets until closing today. The project team was on time and worked quietly and cleanly and finished the job within the time framing exactly on time. Their quality work standard was superior. They made us feel apart of the process, advised us, and kept us informed at every step. They met their deadlines and we came out right on budget and schedule.

We are thrilled with our new apartment and KBR’s work. KBR remodeled our apartment, which included removing a wall to create an open-concept living room & kitchen. After completely tearing out our 90-year-old, uneven flooring and installing a level and rigid sub floor, KBR installed beautiful Brazilian Cherry hardwoods in the living room and bedroom and elegant porcelain tile in the kitchen and foyer. They re-designed an existing closet in the living room and added a new closet in the foyer. Additionally they removed 1970’s popcorn ceilings, installed recessed lighting throughout, and painted the entire apartment. KBR’s workmanship is excellent and every single person we worked with was professional, responsive, and accommodating. We had been planning a remodel for several years and visited many showrooms and had spoken with several design-build companies. We seriously considered 3 different companies. When we first began talking with KBR we had a good idea of what we wanted. Our designer was Baha and of the individuals we worked with at these three companies, Baha was the most receptive to our needs and ideas. He helped us put the finishing touches on our rough design and was our main point of contact throughout the project. Of the three companies we seriously considered, KBR and one other were competitive on price. Baha was one of the main reasons we went with KBR. KBR also stood out because of their willingness to go the extra mile. One of the three companies we considered was perhaps the most established and well known in the DC area. However, they were not willing to be directly responsible for extras such as the flooring throughout the apartment, painting or the closet work. We would have needed to hire other contractors for that work. KBR’s willingness to provide more than just the kitchen remodel made our lives much easier by not having to coordinate with several different contractors. Beyond their willingness, KBR truly listened to us and demonstrated their interest in understanding the elements of our remodel that were most important to us, even if these were not as convenient for the crew. A great example of this was their willingness to completely replace the sub-floor when other contractors weren’t willing to consider this extra step. A few even maintained that installing new flooring over a 90 year old, unstable floor would be the best approach despite our insistence that this would not be the case. The actual construction went as smoothly as could it could have gone. The construction team led by Ruben and project manager Cemil, was prompt and respectful. We live in a condominium and this team followed all the rules. They communicated well with our general manager and other staff. Our neighbors commented on how nice the workers were. The neighbors were especially impressed by the fact that on trash removal days, KBR put down plastic protective sheeting all the way down a hallway that runs the entire length of the building (almost a whole city block) to protect the carpets. This is something that no one remembers any other contractor doing. It should go without saying that no remodeling job of this scope goes entirely as planned. Something unexpected will always come up. KBR was exceptional in handling any hiccups. For example, when measurements indicated that the island counter stone was too large to fit in the elevator, KBR immediately contacted us and offered 2 options. One was to fabricate the counter in 2 pieces, which would leave a seam in the island. The second was to bring on an additional worker to help carry the island counter up 4 flights of stairs. We chose the second option. In our previous experience dealing with contractors, often we felt that decisions would be made without this important communication, resulting in unexpected surprises like an unwanted countertop seam. One other person that we would like to mention is Tracey in the Fairfax showroom. She was the first person I talked to on the phone. She was friendly, showed an interest in our project and worked with me to find a good time for the initial visit with Baha. And she provided helpful advice, such as suggesting hardware for our cabinets that work much better than the typical ones we almost chose. We recommend KBR without any reservations and would hire them again in a heart beat.

KBR just finished our master bathroom. They did a fantastic job and it is beautiful! We loved working with Silviya, our designer. She was very knowledgable both on the renovation process and on the available products. Danny, the crew leader, was very experienced, patient, and listened to our requests. KBR finished the job within the contract schedule and left our home clean and secure while we were away during the last week of the job.

KBR did a wonderful job with our kitchen remodeling from the design to the quality of their work and very importantly their customer service. KBR worked on our kitchen remodel, and hardwood installation. We had several estimates for our kitchen remodel. KBR was not the lowest, but they were the most helpful and up front, and made us feel confident that we would not have any surprise costs along the way. Baha was awesome to work with when choosing the design. I changed my mind many times, and he was extremely patient with my indecisiveness. AJ and Danny were both professional and kind as they worked on the remodel. They worked hard while they were here, and often asked my input for small details, which I appreciated. I cannot say enough good things about either of them. They were quick to solve any issues and always had a smile. I was also impressed with the time line to finish our kitchen. I was worried we would be using our temporary kitchen for months. KBR had all materials prior to beginning the project, and we were back in our kitchen by the end of three weeks. Like I said, I can't say enough great things about the team and the whole process. We hope to work with Baha, AJ, and Danny again when we redo our master bath. I hired KBR to remodel my kitchen. KBR did an excellent job and my kitchen remodel was smooth and exactly what I wanted. The two installers were very nice, helpful and very professional and completed the remodel ahead of schedule. We worked with Silviya this past January to get our new kitchen/powder room and couldn't be happier with the end result. We originally met with five companies, and KBR and Silviya stood out, almost immediately, especially for their price transparency. Some companies wouldn't even give a basic quote until getting us into the showroom, which was not at all the case with KBR. She provided line-item prices up front, which really helped us decide on a contractor. Only one other company did that, and it helped us see how inflated the other company's prices were for the same products. It was an easy decision. Once choosing KBR, Silviya was very responsive and patient with all of our questions and concerns and was pleasant to work with. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted in a kitchen, and the showroom did not disappoint. At the same time, it was never a problem if we wanted to buy our own materials (faucet, etc.) to get the look we wanted. We went to a showroom of a different company and we were left to fend for ourselves; Silviya, however, spent time with us discussing options and more importantly, lending her valuable opinion. Once work actually started, the workers were respectful (I work from home) and often asked my opinion on something before doing it. On the eve of a historic snowstorm, they even offered to hook up the stove temporarily in the event we lost power and needed to cook with the gas. As with any remodel, there were aspects that were stressful and/or didn't go to plan (for example, unexpected ductwork and pipes that had to be navigated), but the important thing is that the project manager and/or Silviya were quick to offer alternatives to still make us happy. The project manager, Husaiyan, stopped by the house often enough to step in if there was an issue/miscommunication too, which we appreciated. After the remodel, they have continued to be responsive to our needs, fixing little things that weren't "perfect" (dinged door, etc.) and fixing a sink leak (twice) ASAP. I think this is a hallmark of good customer service. Our kitchen is just what we wanted and we would happily recommend KBR. The pictures should speak for themselves! Our new kitchen is gorgeous. After interviewing a number of contractors, we selected KBR Kitchen & Bath to remodel our master bathroom. The designer and project manager we dealt with, Sylviya and Huseyin, were both very knowledgeable, professional, helpful and responsive throughout the design and construction. Their technicians, led by Ervin, were courteous and professional, and their workmanship was excellent. We now have a new master bathroom that we are extremely happy with, which we got for a very competitive price.

We hired this company to complete a partial master bathroom renovation. First off, Silviya is awesome and KBR is lucky to have her. She was flexible and patient as we decided on the tile we were to use. She also was very prompt at returning calls and answering any questions we had. The work team was also fabulous and Erbe was great. Our home was left in a clean state every night and he did a great job of covering and protecting all items every morning. Huseyn, Silviya and Erbe worked as a team to problem solve through a bathtub faucet issue and all ended up looking great in the end. I will be recommending this company, and particularly this team to my neighbors and friends. great job guys!

We worked with Silviya and the KBR team for our Master bathroom renovation in the fall of 2015 and they did such a great job that we then hired them for our Kitchen, powder room and to refinish our hardwood floors. Couldn't be happier with the outcome of our new kitchen. Silviya helped us find the nice clean design we were looking for and the work crew was very professional. Hired KBR to renovate my condo kitchen and bathroom. After speaking with a number of contractors they were best fit for me based on my budget and great feedback I'd heard. The whole process was professional and timely from design through renovation and clean-up. As a first timer I appreciated that Armagan and team were patient with all of my questions, and came in on time and budget promised. I love the finished product as my kitchen and bath are unrecognizable compared to before renovation, and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a similar project.

Silviya did a great job of walking me through the process, helping with choices, both at the showroom and in the lead-up to the start of the work. Once I returned, Silviya and her team continued to be very responsive and professional as we finished up the final details of the job. the team finished ahead of schedule and on budget. Baha at KBR did a really nice job in my kitchen remodel and his crew was great. Baha laid out plans for my kitchen, but when I went to the showroom I really didn't like several of his ideas -- so he VERY patiently worked with me to find different cupboards, different countertop and a new backsplash. Again VERY pateintly. When I left the shop, I was a bit uncertain of my choices, but when they were installed, I knew to trust Baha's judgment. All of it fit together perfectly. His crew were knowledgable, helpful and tidy. They worked extremely fast and finished earlier than they had estimated. My only "complaint" is that their prices are a bit high. As an example, I installed granite over my fireplace brick in the den to make it match the kitchen countertops (Baha's great recommendation). But they wanted $2200 to do it. When I asked if it could be done cheaper, the response was $2000. I used Angie's List to find others and had someone else do a very nice job for $1,000. Again, though overall I am very pleased.

KBR Kitchen & Bath provides the best value for your money of fully packaged products/services for your kitchen & bath remodeling needs! After some 30 years, our kitchen Formica countertops were in need of replacement so we turned to Angie’s List for recommendations of good suppliers in our Northern VA area. KBR was one of two firms we contacted and found their Mr. Hakan Ureten (Kitchen & Bath Designer) to be the most helpful in steering us through the process of selecting a good granite material for our countertops and at the most affordable price. We simply walked into KBR without an appointment and met with Hakan. He had on display one foot square samples of granite and a range of various color cabinets on which we could place each selected sample to match with our existing cabinets. Once we selected a few good matches, he arranged for us to go to the stone warehouse to see the full sized granite slab to finalize our selection and reserve the exact slab for our job. We learned that viewing the full sized slab was the most important step in this whole process and insured we would obtain the desired effect we were looking for in our new kitchen countertops. Within one day of selecting the slab and concluding a very favorably priced contract, the KBR Mongolian stone artisans arrived to take the final measurements of our kitchen using not only a trusty tape measure but also an electronic device that actually mapped our existing countertops. Two days later, the uniquely skilled crew returned with the perfectly cut pieces to replace our countertops and overcame some long standing problems we had experienced with our old countertops. Included in this package was a new double sink. That installation also proved challenging because over the years other plumbers had made a mess of the underlying drainage piping and garbage disposal installation. KBR’s technician had to re-plumb the whole sink system, including the reinstallation of the garbage disposal, which for the first time now runs silently. Conclusion: KRB Kitchen & Bath performed outstandingly in meeting our needs to upgrade our kitchen countertops in a timely and very cost effective manner. We highly recommend their services and would be pleased to use them again.

I recently hired KBR Kitchen & Bath to totally redo my townhouse kitchen. I worked with Baha Gurkan on the design and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about design choices, Hussein was the project manager, and was great to work with as were Abraham and Antonio, the construction workers. I'm very pleased with how everything turned out. The project began and ended on time, even with two days delayed because of snow.

KBR redesigned/gutted our hall bathroom, moved the plumbing and electrical for our vanity, and installed a new exhaust fan, shower light, floor/ceiling tile, and shower/vanity fixtures. KBR was nothing but professional from the very start. Silviya was our designer, and walked us through the entire design process as well as a couple of change requests during the project. She was extremely responsive, made everything easy, and just fantastic to work with. The crew was awesome as well They were friendly, timely, kept the work area very clean, and most importantly did a fantastic job with all of the work. The bathroom looks wonderful. We contracted KBR Fairfax for our kitchen upgrade earlier this month. We are very satisfied and happy with the overall project, timing and the customer service provided. Our kitchen looks absolutely gorgeous! Sylvia and Cemil were extremely responsive to our queries and requests. Sylvia met with us first to go over our needs and recommended products that would go great with our current layout and taste. She was very patient as we took time to decide on the materials. KBR requested 2-3 weeks for the construction and finished the task in two weeks. We were very happy that they kept their promise and completed the work in two weeks. Without any hesitation, we can recommend KBR Fairfax for your future kitchen updating.

Baha was excellent in guiding us through kitchen design process, which included a custom pantry and banquette. The final product is gorgeous, and all questions/requests were handled efficiently and professionally.

Near complete kitchen remodel. New better quality cabinets, granite counter tops, island cabinet and top, new lighting, new floor, dishwasher, microwave and exhaust hood. Stove and refrigerator retained as they were relatively new. Demolition of old kitchen was quick. Crew ( Jeff and Robin) that did the demo and installation was great. Very efficient, confident and highly skilled. The house is old and the walls are out of square posing a challenge to both hanging the wall cabinets, installing the base cabinets and fitting the granite counter tops. The lead mechanic (Jeff) was very diligent and capable in fitting everything together. The new kitchen was much tighter and better fitted than the previous kitchen. Both my wife and I are very pleased with our new kitchen and the upgrade in the quality of the kitchen products we purchased through KBR. We would recommend this company to other people looking to replace or upgrade their kitchen.

Our experience with KBR was fantastic. I was incredibly nervous about working with a contractor because of all the horror stories I'd heard, but KBR was professional, responsive. highly skilled, and easy to work with. I usually don't write reviews but our experience was so good that I had to share. Our designer, Hakan, was amazing. He was patient as we worked through the details of what we wanted. He came back to our house several times in the early stages to make sure we were happy with his design. What I appreciated most, though, was that Hakan wasn't a "yes man." My wife and I thought we had some good design ideas, but when Hakan disagreed, he told us. He didn't just smile and nod. Furthermore, he provided us with better, more informed options. He's great at what he does, and our new kitchen is a reflection of his design and inspiration. And we love it. The whole project involved renovating our main floor, including doing an entire kitchen remodel and knocking down a huge wall and a smaller wall. Miraculously, almost the entire job was done by two guys: Ruben and Anibal. These guys are true experts at their crafts. Ruben is like a wizard of all things when it comes to building. He did such an amazing job. And his partner, Anibal, is a workhorse. They were meticulous about getting things right, and when they weren't right, they didn't just "solve" the problem with a bandaid or a quick patch; instead, they went back and did it over again. For example, our island measurements were slightly off, which affected where the gas line came up and where the downdraft ventilation went down. They had installed most of the island when they realized it was a problem. Instead of coming up with some quick fix, they took it apart, moved the whole thing (and all its parts) a few inches down, and reinstalled it. Now it's perfect. That's the kind of work ethic these guys have. Our project manager was Cemil. The first time I met him I realized that he's all business. Hakan and I would laugh, take our time talking through things, share stories of our kids, etc. Not Cemil - he's in there for two reasons only: to make sure the work is of the highest caliber and that his crew is on schedule. Which I totally appreciated! These qualities are a good thing. He was also very responsive when I texted him with questions. And for those of you reading this who are considering a renovation, he's also the guy who calls you when they "find an issue" - you know, those dreaded "change orders" that we see on HGTV. We did get a couple of those calls (one expected, one unexpected), but he was reasonable during the conversation. He also was great at letting me know of any other potential change orders that might come up further down the line. There was only one time when I felt like I was starting to get nickeled and dimed - when I asked KBR to replace 12 switches in the room so the old ones matched the new ones. But, we talked it through, he came down a little on the price for that change order, and we moved on. The lesson there is to advocate for what you believe in while also recognizing that these guys are running a business. All the other people I came into contact with from KBR were great, too. One I want to mention specifically is Tracey, who works in the Fairfax showroom. We had to have a custom closet door ordered, and apparently when it came in, it was slightly defective. Tracey called me right away and told me that she didn't think the door was perfect and that she had sent it back to request they rush another one. I thought that was awesome. I had several other interactions with her, a few on the phone and a few over email, and she was super friendly and responsive. KBR went about a week and a half over their proposed schedule, but that was due mostly to the fact that we did the renovation over the holidays and the Blizzard of 2016 slowed them down by a few days. That said, once we moved back into our house, all of our neighbors kept coming up to us and telling us how hard these guys worked. They told us they were there late every night and that they were impressed. You know it's a good sign when your neighbors are impressed with your contractors! Some advice given our experience with KBR: 1, it helps to speak Spanish (which I do) or have access to someone who can translate for you. There were numerous times when I needed to clarify something to Ruben or ask him questions, and doing so in Spanish was much better. He speaks English fairly well, but he's definitely more comfortable speaking Spanish. 2, get everyone's cell phone number. KBR is only okay on email, but they're great on responding to texts and voicemails. 3, be involved in every step of the way, and don't be afraid to ask them to make changes/adjustments along the way. For example, I noticed that one of our drawers was a little crooked after installation. It was minor, but I thought, if I'm paying this much money, I want it to be as close to perfect as possible. So, I asked Ruben to take it out and reinstall it so it was straighter. He willingly did so and it's essentially perfect now. 4, move out if you can. We were lucky to have family in the area who took us in for the duration, which made it less of a disruption. I can't imagine how we would've lived there with our two small children for 5 weeks with all the dust and noise. Overall, this was an extremely positive experience. If you're considering a kitchen renovation, call these guys - they're awesome. I highly recommend KBR!

Our designer, Silviya, was such a pleasure to work with. She offered great design suggestions and made the process of selecting materials fun. The work started on time and was completed to our highest satisfaction. I would definitely use KBR again.

Before hiring KBR, we have interviewed several other companies and found that KBR has the best balance between price and quality we required so we hired KBR to do our kitchen remolding. We could not be happier with the excellent services during the project and AFTER finishing the project that were provided. 1.They gave us great advice in designing and material selections. For some time, we couldn’t make final decisions so have to go back and force, they always listened to us and took us to see different samples and brought back to our home to see if they match well with the light in the kitchen. The end result is that we have a very good looking of the kitchen after finishing the project and our friends also highly praise the great work being done and ask us for KBR’s information and several of them actually also hired KBR for their remolding projects. 2.During the project, the working team members (plumbers, electricians, managers, etc) worked very professionally with excellent skills we can feel so comfortably to put out house on their hands. They always put stuffs to protect other part of the house from getting dust and clean the work left everyday, so even during the working, we can still fell good enough to use the house. Whenever we had question or problem, we could always ask the workers and they always listened to us without any complaint even if we made something changing back and force. I can say they are the best workers I have dealt with so far. 3.After the project was finished, they continue providing excellent service whenever we had problem. I have never seen a contact company doing this kind of great continuing service after a finished project. When we had problem, no matter big or small, we can always reach the front office and usually the problem could be solved the same day. We never feel worried after the project finished. For normal customers, we believe this is quite a relief and give us great confidence to work with KBR. Because if you hire some other company, once the project is finished, you cannot find them anymore or they will try charging you with the service, we had several such experience with the other companies before. Overall, KBR is an excellent remolding company we highly recommended. They always go beyond what is necessary to help us, and did it in nice and professional manner. Next time they will be our first call! Always the first call!

I bought a townhouse in Alexandria, VA that was built in 2000 and the kitchen was relatively low-end, standard stock that was original to the house (laminate countertops, industrial florescent lighting, standard cabinetry). I was still living in Colorado at the time, but used Angie's List to find a kitchen remodeler - KBR came highly recommended. I contracted with them to redo my kitchen and never set foot in their showroom or my own kitchen until I moved in 3 months later. We conducted all transactions through email, over the phone, or using FaceTime. I had all the cabinets replaced (with roll-out shelves), quartz countertops installed, and had the florescent lights replaced with recessed canister lighting. I also purchased new appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher) from Best Buy and had KBR install them. The overall footprint of the kitchen did not change, but everything was removed and replaced; the cost was about $14,500. When I finally did walk into my new kitchen, I was THRILLED! Conducting business long distance could have turned out badly, but KBR was absolutely honest, did professional-quality work, and provided excellent suggestions for cabinetry and countertops. Baha Gurkan was my designer. I am very pleased and plan to use him and KBR again when I get around to remodeling my master bathroom -- perhaps this coming summer.

KBR was recommended to us by friend's who had used the company's services in Virginia. We live in Maryland so we worked with the office in Bethesda. We selected KBR because they gave us the most competitive quote and because our friends were happy with their services in Virginia. Everyone we dealt with in the Bethesda office was very professional and extremely prompt in responding to questions etc. throughout our renovation. Our bathroom was completed on budget with no major surprises along the way. Unfortunately it was not completed on time. This however was not KBR's fault, but an issue with a parts distributor. Our bathroom renovation was not a simple project. We gutted a space that had previously housed been a bathroom, dressing room, and wall of closets. The space was reconfigured completely. We provided KBR was a rough design by an architect, which KBR executed beautifully.

I was impressed by the guys from start to finish. I worked with Mr. Baha Gurkan with the design based on my need. After the initial design, Mr Baha came with the project Manager to get the exact dimensions of my kitchen and checked inside my soffit. we made some changes on our design based on the final measurements and Mr Baha even helped me choose the cabinets, granite and backslash. and they stated the work the following week, Initially, I was given three weeks for the completion of my work. however, AJ and his partner was so good and hardworking that they finished the work in two weeks which was not expected at all. I am very pleased with their work and I would love them to do more work in future.

KBR did a full kitchen and laundry room renovation for us. Baha Gurkin their designer did an excellent job. Baha is very professional from start to finish, was always available to answer my question, patient, has an excellent product knowledge, and good taste. I would like also to thanks Cemil Yilmaz for always being available and handling any issues that developed professionally. KBR renovation team supervised by Edwin, always arrived on time in the morning, covered all my furniture and floors and were very careful to prevent dust all over the house. They left the place as clean as possible every day. Our kitchen includes everything we wanted. I got my dream kitchen. I am very happy to recommend KBR and especially Baha as a designer. I selected KBR because I wanted a one stop shop experience. I was impressed by KBRs personnel and ability to work within my budget. I also looked at their references and received a lot of information from them and other companies before deciding. I went to KBR's showroom a few times for the initial meeting and after some consulting I selected the materials and finishes. Baha was my project manager and was creative and responsive to meet my needs. There is some patience required when doing a large project like this. You need to utilize all the information and research and decide. Once you know what you want it become a much easier process. The KBR team was truely responsive to my budget and my firm desire for quality materials and installation. The only issue I had was it took a little more time than planned. I have a large kitchen so more time was needed. It was actually great to see the transformation with the installation of the countertops, island and backsplash. I love the kitchen now it really makes a huge impact on the entire space. Hakan, Baha and Tracy were my team and I want thank them for all their help. The kitchen is beautiful now!

Kitchen renovation: demolition of the old kitchen, including cabinetry and floors; installation of new cabinetry, sink, faucet, backsplash, tile floors, outlets, and appliances. The total price of the renovation was very close to the one quoted. The project was completed on time. The project manager and the designer were very responsive to our needs and requests. They were a pleasure to deal with. We did have some issues with the crew working at our place. They failed to fix a leaking sink and GFCI outlets which they installed, Upon our request, a different crew was called in and we were very happy with the end result. Will hire this company again.

We recently hired KBR Kitchen and Bath to remodel our kitchen and we worked with Baha Gurkan. Baha developed the plan and we were able to tweak it so we had a design that met our needs. He was very helpful when we were selecting the cabinets, backsplash and countertop. The granite countertop is beautiful, as are the cabinets and the backsplash. I am very glad I took Baha's suggestion of adding under cabinet lights as they look great. Edwin and his crew were very reliable, They showed up on time and always cleaned up at the end of the day. They were dedicated to our project and completed it faster than I expected. The project would have been completed sooner if there wasn't a delay in getting some of the appliances, which KBR had nothing to do with. We ordered appliances six weeks before the project started and unfortunately the manufacturer was unable to deliver three items. I really appreciated Baha's understanding and willingness to work around the delay. Throughout the process Baha was readily available to answer questions and he was very helpful throughout the process. The kitchen looks great!

So happy with KBR and the results. Silviya and all the the great folks we worked with were professional, understanding and met our needs promptly and completely. We would recommend them highly...went above and beyond to satisfy and were reasonable and came in on time. Awesome!

KBR did a total kitchen renovation for us. Their designer, Baha Gurkin, had many excellent suggestions on how to improve on our ideas. He spent all the time we needed in choosing just the right selection of materials and components so that everything went together even better than we had hoped. Their renovation team started and finished on the agreed dates. They were particularly careful to prevent any dust or debris from the work dirtying up the rest of the house and always left their worksite in excellent condition at the end of each day. The project manager assigned to our job was frequently onsite to monitor progress. Although it was a big job it stayed within budget and was virtually problem-free due to KBR's experience, planning and their policy of keeping work in-house instead of sub-contracting whenever possible. The sub-contractors they did use for items like countertops and glass were both excellent and on time when needed. I would definetily recommend KBR to anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel, they are a pleasure to work with.

KBR did a complete remodel of our kitchen, installing new cabinets, applicances and flooring. They also installed a tile backsplash and painted the kitchen walls. Baha Gurkhan was our designer, and later, our project manager. He did an excellent job in both roles. He is very professional and kept us informed at all times. He made helpful design suggestions, but never pushed a particular product, style or color on us. He was a consicentious project manager, who stayed informed as to the progress on our job and worked hard to resolve any issues that arose. Likewise, we were quite pleased with KBR's crews. They were always on time, respectful, and brought the right tools for the job. If they had a question, they were careful to ask BEFORE starting their task, which we appreciated. If they identified a problem that required additional work and/or materials, KBR disclosed that and asked for our signed approval, so there were no surprises on our bill. KBR worked hard to resolve problems with the project that we noted. For example, our first project manager failed to pay close enough attention to his crew. Consequently, our floor was installed without subflooring, After we brought this and a couple of related issues to KBR's attention, they replaced the first project manager with Baha and re-did the floor. Things went smoothly after that. When some of the grout in our new floor crumbled, the crew came back and put in new grout where it was needed. We were particularly pleased with the quality of Mr. Fikri's work. He has significant expertise in laying floor tiles and installing backsplashes (among other things). He was very careful about alignment, and his work is both neat and attractive. His assistant, Rudy, is also courteous and hard-working. We are quite happy with our new kitchen and will gladly work with KBR again on future projects!

They were very professional and punctual. Armagan and Burak were very knowledgeable in terms of materials/ideas for remodeling our bathroom. They completed the work in the time frame agreed upon and left every day making sure there was no debris left behind.We're very happy with our bathroom renovation, and would certainly work with KBR again for additional projects. We contacted KBR to get an estimate for a kitchen counter replacement and back splash, plus a total renovation (gutting) of a bathroom. The person who did the estimate, Hakan, was absolutely excellent. He listened to our requirements, made design and material recommendations, and came back with an estimate that was within our budget and exceeded our expectations in terms of design. Materials and brands used were consistent with other materials and brands used in our previous projects which was a big plus. Hakan not only sold us on the design and KBR, but was involved from start to finish and handled every question and detail timely, accurately, and professionally from start to finish. KBR's crew were detail oriented, neat, and timely in completing the work; kudo's to them. I'd highly recommend KBR for kitchen and/or bathroom projects.

For me, the thought of renovating my kitchen was a complete nightmare! But deciding to hire KBR was an absolute dream!!! From the time I stepped into the showroom, and met with Baha, through the whole demolition process, until completion, KBR's team helped me make the best decisions that met my needs. They would give me advice and suggestions to the many questions I asked!! And I asked alot!!! My 50 year old kitchen was just remodeled by KBR Kitchens and Bath. We wanted a one-stop shop for all my kitchen needs and that is what we received. Upon meeting Hakan, I knew we were in the right place. Kitchen was completed in two weeks. KBR staff was very professional at all times and the crew were professional and very respectful of my house and cleaned up at the end of every day. My kitchen is now beautiful, efficient and definitely has that "wow" factor. Very pleased with the reasonable cost of the whole kitchen. Our experience with KBR exceeded our expectations and was completely contradictory to the remodeling nightmares that our friends have experienced with other companies. Our new kitchen brings us both so much joy and happiness in both its beauty and functionality. At the start, we worked with John to design our kitchen for us. We had already signed a contract with another company but something wasn't sitting right with us about it and we wanted two other teams to offer other solutions. John was an absolute delight. Not only is he incredibly personable, he listened to us about what kind of cooking we like to do, how we do it, and what we use our kitchen for before coming up with his design. When we met with him after the first design, he spent a lot of time with us to make minor adjustments to ensure we would get all that we wanted incorporated into the design. Even after signing our contract, I would say the one thing that stood out in terms of customer service, was that the entire team was incredibly communicative - no matter what time of day I was emailing or calling with questions/ideas/updates, someone always got back to me in a very timely manner. Once the work began, it was clear to us that we had made the right decision to choose KBR. We had some troubles in terms of the old construction of our house that presented some challenges in terms of us being able to fully realize our vision. (The main problem being that our HVAC system was snaked behind a soffit). Our project manager, Cemil, spent a lot of time that first day brainstorming creative ways to help us achieve our vision and desired look. He really took our concerns and desires into account to come up with a very creative way to maintain structural integrity while still giving us the look and feel that we wanted with our kitchen. Despite the fact that this required some custom work and while watching our technician do this with such care and precision, this did not add time to our project completion date. I was shocked! I really expected that the project would be delayed at least a week. Two technicians came every day and worked tirelessly. Cemil checked in with us constantly. Everyone was great about helping us with selections and never rushed us. I guess the best compliment I can give them is that we hadn't expected to move forward with another project in the near future and I have them coming back to give me quotes! Honestly, their pricing was great but their customer service and desire for you to be happy makes them stand out. You won't be disappointed.

We recently had our 20-year-old master bath updated by KBR and are very pleased with the result. We clicked to get a free estimate on their website and were called that day to schedule an appointment for the designer to come to our home. He emailed an estimate to me shortly after that visit and set up an appointment to meet us in the showroom so we could make selections and sign the contract. They were available to start the job in a timely manner as well. Throughout the process the excellent communication continued. If I emailed a question to the project manager or designer, they responded immediately and stopped by often to check the work and answer any questions we had. We believe the price was fair and reasonable for quality products. We were especially impressed with the people who installed the glass shower stall--they were detailed, precise and professional. Our master bath update is beautiful, and we certainly recommend KBR.

We love our remodeled bathroom. Our consultant at KBR was friendly and helpful. He offered options within our price range and did his best to help us stick within our budget but still give us the look that we wanted. The person who did the work was very respectful of our home and easy to work with. He did beautiful work. We couldn't be more pleased.

Completely remodeled 34 year old kitchen and adjacent half-bath and laundry room. Removed everything: all appliances, cabinets, floor tiles, wall paper, lights and plumbing fixtures. Installed new floor tiles, patched, sanded and painted all walls and ceilings. Installed electrical outlets for new light fixtures, installed new cabinets, granite counter-tops, plumbing fixtures and installed customer purchased new kitchen appliances. Member Comments: This is a small company that pays great attention to all the details. The overall quality of their work was outstanding. In the few cases where we found something that was not correct, the project manager promptly arrived on the scene, assessed the situation and directed the correction to our satisfaction. The designer carefully listened to us and provided a design and renovation plan that responded to our ideas with many excellent ones of his own. The two person team in our home was very friendly and courteous. We were so happy with these workers that we gave them a substantial cash bonus at the end of the job. The work was completed on time and on budget. In several cases, we asked for additions or revisions to the contract and these requests we priced fairly and accomplished as we requested. The final project turned out exactly as planned. We felt that our kitchen renovation was an excellent modernization improvement to our somewhat aging home. We would not hesitate to recommend KBR to anyone interested in a kitchen upgrade. We are planning a future bathroom renovation and certainly would plan to use KBR again with complete confidence.

KBR just finished our project and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. Our home was built in 1958 and still had the original kitchen. We were overwhelmed with the thought of what it would take to remodel it because we knew we wanted to take a wall down and we thought we would need an architect to advise us. So we kept putting it off. In July a woman told us about KRB. They had renovated their kitchen and she was pleased with every aspect of the project and she said how easy it had been. I then read the reviews on Angie's List and we knew this was something we wanted to explore. We visited the Fairfax location the next day. We liked the kitchen displays and the products that were available to choose from. And we were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. We scheduled an appointment for Ibriham to come to our home to talk about what we wanted to do. Two days later he came and listened to our ideas. Shortly after that we met with him in the office to review the computer model of the design and specifications he had prepared. It was great to be able to see exactly what the new kitchen would look like. We picked out the cabinets, granite countertop and tile. We felt the price of the project was very reasonable. We were particularly interested in the timelines they would commit to because we had had a terrible experience with a contractor who put an addition on our home. They put in the contract dates that would have the project begin on the date we chose and end less than a month later. We signed the contract. Then Cemil, who was our project manager, came out to the house to review the design with us and ask questions. He listened carefully as we explained what we wanted to do. We wanted our new kitchen design to be the same as our neighbors and Cemil went with us over to their house to see what they had done. He then talked about some things we needed to consider as we replicated their design. His advice regarding the wall we planned to take down was particularly helpful. I then brought the samples of the cabinet, tile and granite that we chose to our house. We decided we did not like the cabinet so we went back and chose another one. We also made several other changes to our original design, (eg 36 inch cabinets, backsplash, diagonal tile in the entryway to flow into the kitchen which required ordering more tile). Cemil was very responsive to making all of the changes we requested. I was able to bring the samples back home again to hold up while determining what color of paint I wanted to use. Fikri and his assistant came on time the morning our project was scheduled to begin. We can't say enough about how impressed we were with Fikri. He put up plastic to close off the work area and throughout the project he kept the work space very neat. He kept us informed about what he would be doing and often showed us what something was going to look like when he finished to make sure we were okay with it, or if there were options for how do do something he showed them to us and asked which we preferred. He answered all of our questions and most importantly, he was willing to accommodate any request we made for doing minor things differently. The quality of his work and his attention to detail were amazing. Several times during the project Cemil or Hakan stopped by to see how things were going and if we had any concerns. Any questions or requests we had were addressed right away. We liked that we got to pick the exact granite that would be used. We went to Granite ASAP and Steve helped us pick out slabs of the sample we had chosen. We knew we would have a seam because we had extended our cabinets into the new space and we also wanted the countertop to have an overhang for chair stools. I was concerned about the seam because there was pretty dramatic variability in the granite we selected. Two men came to the house to do measurements and we went back to the shop the next day and a guy took chalk and drew on the slabs where he would make the cuts for all of our countertops, including the pieces that would be joined at the seam. It was a bit hard to visualize what it would all look like, but once installed, we were astonished with how amazingly they matched the two pieces where the seam went. The design flows in such a way that you can't tell there is a seam. They also matched the variation beautifully all along where the backsplash sits on the countertops. We had a slight issue with one of the joints and Steve sent someone the next day to address it. We are very pleased with the granite which is beautiful and the service we received from Granite ASAP. I can't close without mentioning Tracey. She greeted us from behind her desk at the front of the shop the first time we went there. She responded immediately to any administrative requests we had. We called or emailed to her any issue we wanted Cemil to pay attention to. She made sure that he got our messages right to him away and he always responded promptly. In summary, we had a wonderful, and for the most part stress free, experience with the KRB team. We have the kitchen of our dreams and it was completed within the timelines and budget of the contract. Customer service, professionalism and quality are clearly high priorities for KRB and we highly recommend them.

We hired KBR to remodel our small kitchen. The footprint would be the same, yet the room would be gutted. We needed to order all of our materials (back splash tiles, flooring, counters, cabinets) from KBR, yet they had a large selection so that was not an issue. The work was to be completed in four weeks and it took 5 and a half. The end result is beautiful. There were a few issues along the way. I expected there to be some as this is an old house and not my first remodeling contract. Armagan, our project manager, was responsive, communicative and professional when addressing the problems we encountered. Some issues were; repeated electrical inspections because of failure to meet code (yet things were ultimately properly completed) others were issues of aesthetics or communication. Since things don't always go smoothly the best one can hope for is someone who addresses issues well. I am confident in KBR's ability to deliver on the job they contract. I would hire them again.

KBR came in took the measurements and gave us a ball park estimate rhat day. They were one of three companies we found on line through Angie's list. After speaking with Armagan and getting other quotes KBR matched what we were looking for with respect to price, quality, choices for materials, and estimated time to complete the job. Armagan followed up with a phone call and it took about an hour in the shop for my wife and I to pick out our materials with Armagan's help. The job started as scheduled and finished within the time estimated. My wife works at home and was very pleased with the quietness and professionalism of the crew. The master bath turned out beautiful. New tub new granite and sinks new tile they expanded our linen closet and installed new shelving. All in all excellent job at a fair price. Would highly recommend KBR and we are deciding when to call them again as we plan the remodel of another bathroom.

I chose KBR after a friend had her bathroom redone by them and recommended them to me. I was looking into purchasing a home in DC that needed major rennovations and wasn’t sure the low sticker price was worth buying a home that needed so much work. So I set about doing my homework and asking friends who had dome major remodel jobs in their houses/apts if they knew of a remodeling company that might be able to come give me quote before closing on my house. A coworker told me that she had her bathroom redone by KBR and was really happy with her overall experience. When I called KBR and explained my situation and how I needed a quote quicklybefore making the big decision on the house, they were really accomodating and met me with my realtor a few days later at what is now my home. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I got the kitchen, bathroom, and hardwood floors that my house desparately needed and my house is now appraised way higher than what I paid for it plus the reno. To anyone who is thinking about doing something similar, I would definitely recommend KBR.

Was in the Bethesda area checking out potential kitchen and bath remodeling stores as they seem to be concentrated right there on Wisconsin Ave. and came across KBR. I was leery at first since their store seemed to be just opening and they didn’t have many reviews on Angie’s List but then I learned that this branch is really just a new addition from their existing Fairfax branch. I was looking to have my kitchen remodeled and really wanted to have Medallion cabinets since I knew that they custom make those to order. It turns out that KBR was the only store I visited in Bethesda that actually carries Medallion cabinets so I was glad to have visited their showroom. This was a big project I was saving up for for a while and I was a bit anxious about the process and staying within budget but still getting all the things I wanted. After checking out their selections I decided to make an appointment for an estimate. Armagan, who helped me at the showroom, came to my house right on the dot of our agreed upon time. He took measurements of my kitchen, did a nice 3-D drawing of the layout, and provided me with an estimate. It was within my budget and I liked the materials they had in the showroom so I decided to continue with the process by coming to make actual selections the following weekend. There, Armagan walked me through what would happen during the construction process step by step. So we agreed on a starting date and I signed the contract that day. The workers showed up when scheduled and my job was completed earlier than I what I thought it would take since my contract end date wasn’t for another week. I had been putting this off for a long time since I was nervous and thought it would be a big headache to not have my kitchen for weeks but really it went very smoothly and I’m so happy with the final product. If you are thinking about redoing a kitchen or bathroom in your house, you should definitely keep KBR in mind.

We hired KBR to remodel our kitchen and were super happy with the results! After getting estimates from other remodeling stores in the area, we weren’t sure if we could get the kitchen we wanted in the budget we had in mind. KBR’s quote was much more reasonable than the places even just across the street. I’m talking like $10k less than other quotes we got for essentially the same products. The staff were also great. The designer we met in the showroom, who was also our project manager, was very accessible and responsive. The guys who came to our house were consistently on time and very respectful of our space. They took care in covering nearby furniture and were careful not to mark up our new hardwood floors. We're very happy customers and will be back once were ready to redo our bathroom.

I recently used KBR Kitchen and Bath for my bathroom remodeling. I cannot say more happy things about this company. Armagan was our designer who went above and beyond! My husband and I watch a lot of HGTV and had lots of ideas of the style we were in search for. He helped our vision come to life! He invited us to the showroom to pick out the materials we would be using. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the showroom and the easy access to the different floor models. KBR completely gutted our master bathroom of the original bathroom that was universal in our housing development plans(Ryan Homes). We went with a stone shower stall. My husband and I frequent Westin hotels and were always impressed with this "Double Speakman Shower Head. He was able to help us find that perfect shower head that we love so much at hotels. The sink bowl is another one of my favorites! Our bathroom now has that luxury feel to it that we were looking for! We couldn't be more excited that we went with KBR and had the opportunity to work with Armagan! We were extremely happy with the final project and recommend using KBR for all of your kitchen and bathroom needs!

KBR Kitchen & Bath performed full remodeling in our kitchen. As a result, we are very pleased with the work. From beginning to the end, it was a very well organized project. They changed our floor, cabinets, countertop, backsplash and added recessed lights. They had numerous material options. We were very satisfied with what we got. Our designer,Armagan was very helpful during the design process and was realistic with us about what would/would not work based on the space we had to work with.. KBR team was very responsive to our emails for questions and concerns. Even about the smallest change, they kept us posted. They were on the contract schedule and completed the project 1 week earlier than what said on the contract. The KBR workers were on the job each day from start to finish. They were very helpful, respectful and nice. Every morning, they covered the floor and the walls with plastics and blankets and at the end of the they cleaned all related areas. They were always on time. Craftsmanship was excellent. I felt very comfortable during the project. They also took care of little things that were not required but made the look complete. We are very happy with our new kitchen and would recommend KBR to any and all who ask!

KBR gutted and remodeled the kitchen of my 1937 home, including new cabinets, flooring, countertops, lighting, appliances (I purchased), and a change of window size to accommodate a new counter on one wall. Overall, the project went well--I am mostly happy with my kitchen, and I think the price was probably fair. The people that came to my house were courteous, as were the designers I worked with in store. However, although I am perhaps too picky, I would not hire this company again. Here are my gripes: Attention to detail was lacking in some cases. I asked for grout to match the tile, and got white grout. I asked for certain dimensions for the faucet, handle, soap and hot water dispensers to be positioned in the granite countertop, and my directions were not followed (and the spout of the soap dispenser does not reach the sink). The handle of the sink is not straight. Recessed lighting was not balanced, and several bulbs were resting against the sides of the cans until I fixed it myself. Several of the drawers were just set in place rather than affixed to the metal sliders. Some of the tile is not flush. The water was hooked up incorrectly to the refrigerator. I felt like I had to babysit: On one section of wall that was tiled later, the grout was the color I had originally asked for--a completely different shade than the rest of the kitchen, including a section abutting the new tile (I was told it would dry a different color, but a week later was still obviously different than the rest of the grout). Due to personnel changes at the company, I had to call repeatedly over a 3 month span to have the project completed (we started in August, and didn't finish until December). After completion, I had to call again to have someone come remove the lockbox from our door. The company did not order enough of the pencil tile to finish the top of one whole side of the kitchen and was going to just leave it unfinished, and cabinet hardware was not ordered until everything else was finished, delaying completion. Although I appreciate that they don't hire subcontractors, this meant that the same two guys installing tile, cabinets, and counters did the masonry on the exterior of the home where two windows were shortened. It took three tries to get it acceptable, and I wish now I had hired a separate mason to do this work, as I think I would have gotten a more finished result (should have known better when I was told the brick and grout would "age" to match the rest of the house better). Also, as the company didn't have anyone who could install the windows, I had to arrange for that separately and coordinate with another company. I also had to buy the paint for the walls, trim, and ceiling myself, and was asked to buy shelving mounts (when I told them I didn't have time and to just deduct the cost of the shelving from the project, they managed to procure them). This company is probably fine, and a less expensive option, for simple, standard remodels, if you have some time to do some legwork and supervising yourself, but next time I will pay a little more to hire a company that has more exacting standards.
