Urban Paint Works specializes in fine interior and exterior residential painting. We have been meeting the needs, and exceeding the expectations, of our clients in Chicago, the North Shore and Western Suburbs for over 30 years. We take pride in listening carefully, understanding your needs, and then executing professionally. Our goal on every job, big or small, is that you be delighted with our service, and with the finished product. We work directly with homeowners and through a number of high-caliber general contractors, architects, and interior designers. We have also worked with condo associations, building owners, and management companies. Referrals are available on request. Dirk VanKoughnett, owner and president of UPW, has more than 35 years of experience in the painting industry, having begun painting as a part-time job while in high school and college. Dirk remains personally involved in every UPW job, from estimate to final invoice. Dirk is available to customers at any time. A team of 14 full-time professional painters (we do not use students, part-timers or itinerant workers) ensures that jobs can be staffed appropriately and completed efficiently. The average experience of the crew is six years, and some have been with company more than twelve years. An experienced crew foreman is on-site to expertly manage each job.
