We have a bathroom that is original to our 26 year old house that needed updating. We decided to remove the tub and put in a walk-in shower. We also had new cabinets, toilet, mirror, wall and floor tile installed. We decided to ask Victor and his team at Urban Restoration to do our project after seeing and hearing about the excellent quality of their work in our own neighborhood. We appreciated that after we chose all of our materials they took care of ordering them and did not start the project until everything was in. Read on if you wish, but let me just say from the get go that this company is everything you would hope for when searching for professionals that are going to create your dream renovation on time, on budget and with exceptional detail in both the planning and execution of the work. My husband and were planning a master suite renovation and it was suggested by our designer Provanti Designs to meet with Urban Restoration. Reg from UR didn't want anything to be quoted before investigating what laid behind our fireplace and just as well as a LOT was revealed. We were explained our options which we were happy with and then proceeded with the work. It was quoted as a 9 week renovation and they were right on time. There were some minor budget changes along the way (due to us requesting additional work) which were dealt with via the BuilderTrend app which was a great tool to have as we could see what was going on at all times. The communication from the UR staff was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. (I actually don't think anyone at UR knows how to say know to a client request). UR have some tradespeople on staff who were such hard workers and very detail oriented. Several were regulars in our home throughout the entire renovation but I have to give a shout out to the tiling contractors that UR brought in. They were incredibly meticulous and as we had a lot of tile, we could not have been happier for their efforts. Any mess was cleaned up on a daily basis including outside the house. We love our new bedroom and bathroom and if we ever consider a new renovation, we'll be calling Urban Restoration for sure.

We used UR to remodel our Matthew’s Beach home, after seeing the great craftsmanship they did in remodeling our parent’s Kirkland, WA home. Our parent’s found them as UR was featured on the best of the 425, and they really are! We had the incredible custom designs of Michelle, and smooth collaboration with Victor and UR from the start of the design process. Everything is custom, individualized, and really takes into the character of your home (in our case building upon and modernizing on the unique character of an original 1904 Seattle beach cottage). Urban Restoration takes care of the entire process from sourcing the materials, to putting in the final touches. Victor, Michelle, and the whole team at Urban Restoration treated us like family. No detail was left untouched. From an incredibly detailed estimate to lie out the scope of the project, to coming in ahead of schedule, we were blown away by the professionalism. Over the years we’ve remodeled several times. The contractor we last used was now retired, so we started down the path of asking friends for referrals, searching the web and making calls to potential project managers. Our remodel job included: replacing approximately 1,100 sqf of tile floor with hardwood floors (including new moulding), installing new doors and hardware throughout the house, and updating three bathrooms (lighting, mirrors, plumbing, slab countertops, etc.). Some contractors returned our calls, some did not, one agreed to do the project then became unreachable for three weeks. Finally we called our designer Virginia Stamey (who we should have called in the beginning) and she referred us to Reg Willing and Victor Ruzhin and their company Urban Restoration (UR). Virginia indicated they have been in business a long time, she had worked with them on projects before and had met / spoke to a number of their clients before choosing them herself. From the beginning we were impressed, they were patient, reviewed the project carefully and offered many suggestions/ modifications that were very helpful. They created a budget and time line for us. Having remodeled before, and knowing the supply chain issues caused by Covid - we mentally added 20% to the cost and 3 weeks to the 6 week timeline they created. We didn’t need to. They came in on time and on budget despite delays in items ordered, the normal bumps in the road that come up, and our adding several “additional improvements” along the way. As with any remodeling project unexpected issues/ changes come up but Reg, Victor, and Michelle were always up to the task, communicated quickly and effectively and, even more importantly, made sure we were happy with the end results. They are true professionals and it showed through every step of the project. Their carpenters, plumber, and electricians were very respectful of our home and competent in their trade. I would highly recommend Urban Restoration for any job you have and definitely use them again in the future! Thank you again Reg, Victor, Michelle and crew!

The entire team of people at Urban Restoration who worked on our project: Reg & Victor (the owners), Michelle, Paul, Riat, Michael and Jesse all did meticulous work. You know that old adage, “if you are going to do a remodel, plan on it costing 50% more than you budgeted and taking twice as long? That does NOT happen with UR-Build. Reg took 2 weeks creating the spreadsheet that notated EVERY single expense (even things like the current price for drywall, etc) in order to give us as exact an estimate as possible. The only extra costs were for things that we decided to add on to the remodel as it progressed and we saw how great their work was. Even with COVID slowing down permit approvals for everyone in Kirkland, these guys did a complete home renovation in about 5 months (including demolition). The remodel on our 3,500 sf house was extensive. It required moving exterior doors & windows, removing support columns and replacing them with steel beams (ALL over our house), ripping out walls, installing hard wood floors, adding an electrical panel, gutting a small kitchen and pantry and creating a custom 21 foot wide kitchen with a 9-foot island. And they did all of it starting Jan 2 and finishing at the end of May. I have never seen anything like it, nor had my friends, several of whom had horror stories about their remodels. Not only was this team able to complete our “gut job” in a ridiculously short amount of time, but each of them took pride in making every detail absolutely beautiful, thinking of things that would never have occurred to us. In order to meet their deadline so we could move in, this team worked every weekday and even some weekends. They showed up on time. They multi-tasked. They left the house swept and clean at the end of every working day so that we could do walk through in the evenings whenever we wanted. They made our 1990s “house of columns” a beautiful, peaceful, modern space. Everyone on their crew (including Jesse, the custom cabinet maker) was inventive, talented, professional, friendly, devoted to our job, easy to work with and kind. We have already recommended UR-Build to two sets of our friends both in Bellevue and in Sammamish, basically telling them that they are crazy if they hire anyone else but them. I promise, I’m not exaggerating when I say that this firm is a blessing. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. They have truly turned an dark, ugly old house into a beautiful home that we never want to leave. One last note: Reg and Victor, the owners, are both incredibly smart, crazy-talented and so compassionate (which is under-rated in the world of construction). Renovations are stressful, exhausting and flat-out scary for the homeowner. These two guys were compassionate at every turn: trying so hard to make every dollar go as far as possible and to make the process as easy on us (the homeowners) as they could. They are are true gentlemen and I am so grateful we found them.

We could not be more happy with our remodel. This was an extensive project that involved our kitchen, powder room and laundry room. First, UR finished the work a week ahead of schedule and under budget! And the work itself was first rate. Finally, everyone at UR was a delight to work with. After 9 weeks of having them in our home, we can honestly say we miss seeing them every day. They not only are outstanding contractors but endeavor to create a truly positive experience for their customers.

Urban Restoration has helped us with the full exterior renovation project on our Medina home. We wanted to gift this exterior refresh project to ourselves as our 25th-anniversary present in this Covid19 era when it was hard for us to think of other plans like travel or a sort of event. We met Victor with only rough ideas. From the beginning of the ideation stage, Victor was willing to join and work together to come up with more concrete scope and plans. During the construction, we have enjoyed communications with Victor so much. He was highly responsive and pleasant to talk to all the time and also even when dealing with difficult situations. We may have an exceptionally high bar that sometimes could come as unreasonable requests to contractors. Victor consistantly tried his best to meet and satisfy our requests and expectations. Most of all, his team looked like mastery in their own field and his subcontractors delivered high-quality outputs. We are happy that the project went above and beyond our expectations. Urban Restoration did a complete remodel of our kitchen in coordination with our designers, Trove Interiors. The project was completed on time and on budget. Reg and Victor were straight shooters, experienced, honest, and eager to please. Their employees were pleasant, skilled, and very neat and clean. The subcontractors were timely, skilled and cooperative, and had long, good working relationships with the general contractor. We were experienced with prior remodels and selected Urban Restoration based on word of mouth and recommendations of people we trusted. We obtained multiple fixed price bids and theirs was neither the highest nor the lowest, but seemed reasonable in the market. Our project was very well defined from the outset with no surprises and few changes. When any issues arose, Urban Restoration always wanted to do the right thing and make sure we were satisfied. Our decorators were very particular and exacting and Urban Restoration was able to work with and satisfy them. I am a retired lawyer with substantial experience in construction disputes. I have been through a number of remodels. In my opinion the key to a successful experience was a thorough vetting of the contractor, a very well defined scope of work with minimal changes, uncertainties and risks, a clear understanding of costs and timing that were realistic and economics that worked for both the owner and the contractor. We had a great experience and would use Urban Restoration again.

Couldn't recommend them enough! We've worked with Reg, Victor, Michelle and team on multiple projects over the last five years. They've done 2 bathroom/bedroom remodels, including all the plumbing and electrical that went with those, painting projects, cabinetry, carpeting, replacement of stair railings. Urban restoration completed a remodel for me under a tight time-frame, and was able to respond to project escalation due to water damage that was discovered, and still get my job done in a timely fashion. They have master carpenters that do excellent work at a master craftsman level. They installed new hardwood floors, new windows, baseboards, window casings, and doors for me. They also installed a design feature mid-century wood slat wall divider. They brought in a great electrician, replaced my gutters, ordered custom metal handrails (interior) and metal chimney tops (exterior). They also helped upgrade my heat/AC system and managed the install of new garage doors. They stand by their work and have been back to fix small things in my house over the past year. I highly recommend the Urban Restoration team if you are looking for a quality remodel team.

We would highly recommend Urban Restoration! We recently moved into a new home and had some small projects to complete, and then the scope grew as we started to do some remodeling. Urban Restoration was recommended by our Realtor and so initially we hired them to move a water heater from an inside closet into our garage in order to build a pantry. Eventually we hired them to install quartz countertops, complete some electrical work, and are looking into replacing some windows. Reg Willing at Urban Restoration is very knowledgeable, reliable, quick to respond, and provides great guidance when problems arise. I had complete faith that our project would be completed on time and on budget. One of the companies employees, Paul moved our water heater and helped us with some electrical work. I hired Reg and Victor at Urban Restoration to help spruce up our 1904 Craftsman. They gave insightful design advice, installed new windows and doors, performed drywall repair, installed new flooring, and painted the exterior of our home and garage.
