Combining dedication to quality and service, Hanson Remodeling provides full remodeling services using the best building practices available with a team of local professionals with a reputation for excellent knowledge and skill in their craft. Hanson Remodeling Design Build was formed by Dan Hanson in 2008. His intrigue into the craft of home building and remodeling began early with family tours of architectural homes. After interning with a manufacturing company prior to his senior year in college, Dan passed on a management position offer and graduated from Luther College with degrees in Business Management and Philosophy. He set out to Colorado to explore his intrigue of building. He knew that he did not want to wake up in middle management in his 30’s wondering if he should have pursued carpentry. He earned a position as a finish carpentry apprentice and was hooked. He moved to the Twin Cities after traveling in Canada and South America to live in an urban setting and enjoy the profession of remodeling.

We worked with Hanson Remodeling to finish the basement in our 1908 home. Our experience with the company was excellent, Dan Hanson and the team working on our project were wonderful. Hanson Remodeling was dedicated to being on time with the original timeframe for our project. We were always notified when there were any changes to the usual workday schedule and Dan Hanson was available and very responsive whenever we contacted him directly. Matt Johnson was the lead on our team and he was consistently excellent with his communication and quality of work. We can't say enough about everyone at Hanson being very professional, courteous, and available at all points of our project. Hanson's quality is outstanding and they really made us feel like we were at the center of what they do. We highly recommend Hanson Remodeling for your home projects!

Dan and his team helped us completely renovate the upstairs of our 1920's home. His team was available to answer questions we had throughout the project and provided multiple options, with upfront costs for each option, throughout the project. His team worked efficiently and kept on schedule so that we were able to reoccupy the upstairs before a new baby arrived. The finished product is exceptional and we would work with Dan and his team without question on any future project.

I've used Hanson Remodeling on a couple of occasions and been happy with the work. The first was finishing an upstairs, the second replacing a couple of windows. Dan listens, gives you options and his people take pride in their work. I wouldn't hesitate to use Hanson Remodeling again.

We had a clear vision for the remodeling of our 1940 home, which was to modernize and open the floorplan while honoring the home's vintage charm. Hanson's designer and lead carpenter not only made our vision come true, they used their experience and style to improve on our ideas. Once the walls were opened up we ran into a couple of unexpected challenges, but Dan's team found solutions that kept us within our budget. The project was finished on time, which was critical since we hosted a family wedding shortly after the work was complete. We love everything about our "new" old house, and would recommend Hanson Remodeling without reservation.

In the past when my husband and I have done renovation work, it's added a lot of stress to our life. But with Matt, our carpenter, at the helm of this project, even the process added joy to our lives. I was particularly impressed with everyone's excellent communication and attention to detail. And now we have the space of our dreams!
