Wooden Dreams

We had a pretty big project (addition and remodel of entire home) and Wooden Dreams did an excellent job. We had received 3 quotes on this project and Wooden Dreams was very competitive. The project came in on time (a bit over 4 months start to finish) and on budget (project cost $230,000). Having never done a house remodel, before, we were mostly worried about not getting overcharged for changes or unexpected items. Howard is a really honest and straightforward guy to work with and worked with us to keep us within budget. I would hire him again without reservation.

This company has the most professional of people working for them. I was looking for a quick estimate on granite and soapstone. The salesperson that I forgot his name was so very professional and he gave me lots of different ideas on both. Still leaning towards soapstone. Thanks for all your help.

Wooden Dreams does spectacular work. We hired them for an extensive remodel of our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom 1940's Cape Cod style home and could not have been more pleased with the result. WD created a design solution that seamlessly integrates a new upstairs master bedroom/bathroom suite and new second bathroom. The main floor work includes a more graceful entry, a powder room, a new kitchen and the addition of a dining room, screen porch and library. As a result the house really works. Given the well-designed plan and incredible attention to detail, you'd never know all that has been modified or added. From design aesthetic, quality of workmanship, to reliability and business ethics, Wooden Dreams delivers every time. The principal is Howard Theis, an architect and contractor. He is extremely knowledgeable and easy going. Truly a one stop shop using only the best suppliers and craftsmen. We could not recommend Wooden Dreams more highly for projects large or small.

Howard Theis, Principle, and the Wooden Dreams team have been partnering with us for over ten years as we transformed our home. We hired them to remodel our house prior to moving in (moisture issues, stucco replacement) and then again to replace our upper floor windows. High quality craftsmanship with reasonable pricing given the quality. Will hire again for any future remodeling work.

We did a kitchen remodel. Complete gut and rebuild. We had great results with Wooden Dreams. They were respectful, great with detail and comfortable to work with. Took longer than there timeframe which was a little stressful but all was great in the end. Sandy

We added maybe 400 square feet - not a lot - but great space - expanded bedroom, master bath and large walk-in closet, a second garage stall, an office and an entry way. We also re-sided, got all new windows, roof, etc. Howard, the co-owner, architect, and point of contact was great. He had really good ideas and it was easy to work with him. Very accomodating and nice follow through even after project was completed. Quality of workmanship was great - with 2 exceptions, their heating/air guy was terrible, as was their wood floor guy. Everyone else, especially the tiler and painters were stupendous. Project ended up taking longer than expected - maybe 8 months in total. We are really pleased with the final product - our curb appeal improved about 1000% and the new space is wonderful. No regrets, or "if only we had". Would definitely hire them again, with stipulation that 2 subs mentioned above were not involved.

Hired Wooden Dreams to do a total room remodel, which included removal and replacement of drywall and insulation, replacement of exterior siding & trim, moving an interior wall, installation supporting beam and built-in cabinets & drawers. Howard was excellent and meeting with us, providing quotes, options and noting potential issues. During the early demolition and framing phases, it seemed as if the job would be completed faster than scheduled. They had a full crew of 3-5 guys working all day for about a week. They were great at communicating potential changes to the plan that would impact the project and code considerations, such as electrical and smoke alarms. There were several times during the project when we needed to call Howard regarding issues (i.e. ceiling texture not correct, overspray onto walls and details on the built-in) and he was quick to take care of them all to our satisfaction. The only negative was that there were a few times when no one would show up at our home for several days straight, and times when one person would be there for only an hour. I can't help but think this contributed to the overall project lasting longer than we had expected. In the end, the work was of very high quality, and we would hire them again. We would be more proactive about the schedule and request a regular meeting with Howard at the house.
