*Authorized Fireplace Xtrordinair & Lopi Dealer* Poolman of Wisconsin, Inc. is a family owned pool and spa business purchased in 2001 by Wes and Barb Wiedenbeck. Poolman is the Eau Claire’s oldest pool and spa store. It was established in 1979 as a sideline to Glen and Patty Carlson’s boating business after the Carlson’s discovered when they wanted an inground pool in their backyard that they had to go to Minnesota to find a pool company. Poolman was established in 1986 by Jeff and Bernice Manhardt when the Carlson’s decided to sell their business due to poor health issues. In 1998, Wes went to work for Poolman as a Sales/General Manager after working for 13+ years in the industry as a manufacturer’s rep as well as several years of hot tub special event sales i.e., state/county fairs and home/garden shows. In 1999, Barb brought her 15+ years of business experience to Poolman when she became employed as an Operations Manager. Soon after, the Manhardt’s decided to sell the business to them.
