I have been working with Cynthia for the past year (and then some, thanks Covid!) on a remodel involving the top floor of our home. As it is an older house, we could not change window placements, and Cynthia was very clever in creating the perfect layout. What was once a jumble and awkward collection of rooms has been transformed into one beautiful master suite with den and fireplace in bedroom, two bedrooms with bathrooms ensuite and a home office. Cynthia has it all - guidance, patience, great taste, and knowledge. She is very respectful of one's budget and always comes up with a nice array of options for you. She understood my taste and really delivered rooms that not only look great but are functional and fit in with the style of the house. We hired Cynthia to design a new den to match our craftsman house. She provided a great design plan, and found us some fantastic options for the fireplace, the tile, lights, cabinets and paint. It turned out wonderful and is now our favorite room in the house. Throughout the project she was always available and was very on top of all the phases of the build and design.

We found Cynthia when we were already well into our project (we had a bad experience with a downtown design firm); so Cynthia needed to get up to speed, understand our goals and timelines, and then act quickly to get our project back on schedule. Lucky for us, she did just that! We are remodeling approximately 4,000 square feet, including kitchen, lounge, dining, front entrance . . . (you get the picture). It is an old house with some inconsistent design features from changes made over the last century. Cynthia listened carefully to us to understand our goals and then brought her years of experience, creativity, and artistic touch to our project to help us achieve them. We tend to be a little difficult to work with, but Cynthia applied a good balance of pushing back where she thought we were making design errors and yielding to our particular preferences (rather than insisting on us realizing *her* vision for our project). Finally, we are quite cost conscious, and Cynthia has done a good job estimating hours and costs and working hard to keep within our budget goals. We recommend her enthusiastically!

Cynthia's attention to detail and eye for color was spot on. We were looking for a cohesive look throughout our house which she accomplished. From new floors to space planning of furniture, she pulled it all together and made it strees free. I highly recommend Lambakis Interior Design.

Cynthia did an outstanding job bringing our dream kitchen to life. Her design ideas were great and her oversight of the project was highly professional. During the 6-month construction project, I always felt she was looking out for my best interests. The end result is an elegant and functional space -- people come in and are awed. Large remodels inevitably involve stress, but Cynthia's customer-service / can-do attitude made ours much less so. For example, when the stone yard sold one of three matching slabs of marble, that we had reserved, to someone else, thereby discarding our choice and potentially delaying the project for weeks, Cynthia got in her car and drove 90 minutes to another stone yard to locate three matching replacements. She texted me photos, made a recommendation, and solved the problem in under 12 hours.
