Nampa Floors and Interiors

THEY PUT THE WRONG HARDWOOD FLOORING IN MY HOUSE This was one of the more hurtful and disheartening experiences I have had in a professional setting. I hope what happened to me does not happen to anyone who is reading this. I recently employed Nampa Floors to rip out existing carpet and put in new white oak wood while also sanding/refinishing and staining it weathered oak for all to match and blend. Their sales rep, Seth Ott, told us it would blend perfectly but the subcontractor/Distributors picked the wrong hardwood grade. I consulted a third-party flooring company who inspected the work done. He confirmed that our existing flooring is a grade one (1) white oak throughout the house and Nampa Floor installers put in a select (or clearer) and a better cut. It looks like 2 different floors and the transition of flooring is easily recognizable by anyone that has viewed it. There are no knots or real variations on the new floor. We were not told that the wood would be a different grade and have so little variation like the existing floor. I contacted their Manager, Nick Carone, to make it right. He came out and said, "They did the best job we could with the materials we had". So there is no reason to tell me it could be a different grade? Your sales rep did not set expectations that there were not going to be any knots in the new floor and that the stain was going to look completely different as well because there was so little variation? The worst part about all of this is what their Manager, Nick Carone, said to me on the phone today. I told him this is not personal and all I want is for someone to make it right. He said, "I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE FROM CALIFORNIA AND THEY DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY IN THAT PART OF THE COUNTRY, BUT THIS IS HOW WE DO IT IN THE VALLEY". What is that supposed to mean? Do I not get the same level of service because I am from California originally? Is this the level of professionalism that I can expect from Nampa Floors and Interiors and their Managers? I could not believe that Nick even said that. That statement alone demonstrated to me that he was already going to be reluctant to help me because of where I was from. Is that acceptable as a Company? I have never had to deal with something like this. I am new to the whole home renovation and experiences involved, and to be honest, I am completely shocked at this terrible experience and treatment. I hope this helps future homeowners avoid dealing with this level of unprofessionalism conducted by Nampa Floors. They have ruined our first home-buying experience and it is clear that if you are not from Idaho, you receive a lesser service. Shame on you Nampa Floors.

Working with Theresa Dines from Nampa Floors and Interiors was a fun experience. She was very knowledgeable about all aspects of our project and a joy to work with. We had definite budgets to work within and I felt Theresa catered to our budget, giving us many options and great ideas. Time with Theresa was well spent..I was always greeted with a smile and felt our project was a priority with her. Her experience and contacts were a definite plus on our project. We love our home and give much of that credit to Theresa Dines!
