Windrush Hill took our starter home we purchased 29 years ago and made it into our forever home. A complete remake of the exterior and interior. In December 2015, we found the dream location for our home. The house that sat on the lot, was anything but a dream. We made an offer on the house the same day we viewed the property and it was accepted hours later. We already had Tony Alfieri and Windrush Hill Construction in mind to partner with us on the renovation of this home. Because the property was adjacent to conservation lands and the Niagara Escarpment, a designated UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, we understood that we had significant restrictions about what we could/couldn't do and that we had to work within the existing footprint of the home. Upon visiting the property, Tony understood our vision and the challenges immediately and we got to work planning the renovation. Tony, his team and his preferred sub-contractors are all a pleasure to work. The Windrush Hill team worked collaboratively with us, always remaining respectful of our ideas and direction, while providing sound and valuable design direction, solutions and troubleshooting throughout the entire project. The quality of Windrush's workmanship is exceptional. We took possession of the property in March 2016 and moved into our lovely new home in November 2016. Since then, we've been honoured to have our home featured in a local magazine, and rank as a finalist in the Niagara, Ontario and Canadian Home Builders' Association Awards. Windrush Hill handled our "rebuild" in Vineland, pretty much a complete gut and renovation. Tony Alfieri took a great design from our architect and made it even better. Tony has amazing design sense, is a problem solver and supervises his projects closely. Windrush Hill provides an amazing, professional crew. And the subcontractors, designers and suppliers Tony has relationships with bring terrific value to the project. His costing was accurate and transparent and the time line was accurate. How many homeowners can say they still love their contractor at the end of a big reno? Hire Windrush. Particularly if you want clean, modern design. You'll be very glad you did.

We had a very positive experience working with Windrush Hill. The entire team was professional and responsive and dedicated. They made sure we were involved every step of the way and any concerns were addressed quickly. Tony is extremely experienced and had a lot of valuable suggestions for us along the way. An excellent general contractor with the ‘best of the best’ of staff, sub-contractors, and suppliers form the nucleus of this very professional and courteous team. I would recommend highly Windrush Hill for any major renovations that you may want done (although I believe they can also do smaller jobs). My end unit townhouse in Niagara on the Lake hadn't been 'modernized' since being built in 1985. After several consults with Tony we decided upon a full make-over of the main floor with transitional overtones including an open and bright interior space. I liked his vision and approved the concept so I left the keys to the door with him, and his team went to work in transforming the house from what I would consider ‘tired and blasé' and into a ‘stunning knockout’ that everyone who visits wows at.

We were very happy with the results of our reno. The new bathroom turned out so well, and the sliding glass doors that we had installed were a huge improvement. From start to finish, we were so pleased with the whole reno process. From our initial meeting with the owner of the company, Tony, to the final day of install, everything went very smoothly. All the trades guys coming in were very pleasant and their work was top notch. (And more than one of them spoke very highly of Windrush Hill.) All the details seemed to be taken care of, right down to the bookkeeper scanning and e-mailing individual invoices from wholesalers which I really appreciated. I especially found their employee Paul to be a wonderful asset. He gave us wonderful customer service during our reno. Over the many years of home ownership, we have dealt with many trades guys and also did a huge basement reno at our last home with a different company. One of the most frustrating parts of that reno, and dealing with any trades really, is the poor communication, and sometimes, complete lack of it. Paul made this reno a breath of fresh air because the level of communication with us was simply excellent. I greatly appreciated how he always kept us in the loop; his interest in every aspect of the reno was wonderful. It was great to be able to call or e-mail him with our questions, and his prompt replies were very greatly appreciated. All in all, we were very impressed with our reno and experience with Tony, Paul and Windrush Hill. We would gladly recommend their company to others thinking of doing a reno.

Tony's talent for design and deep experience with home building, form and function regularly takes good home building projects and elevates them into truly great custom homes. A painful process made much easier by Tony Alfieri and his associates. He was professional, timely and responsive to all our requests over a 6 month period. When a contractor was scheduled they consistently showed up on time enthusiastic about the project and stayed until it was completed. We were never left waiting for something to happen. Follow up was terrific. Tony was always on hand and available. He communicated with us thoroughly and we knew at all times we were in capable and knowledgable hands. My kitchen is gorgeous, exactly to my specs and desires and I love it everyday. We highly recommend Windrush Hill.
