We have used Jesse and his crew of professionals a few times and have recommended them to all of our friends. We will be calling them the next time our old house needs a facelift!

Work was completed as promised. Workers were polite and respectful. Work areas were prepped before job began and completely cleaned at day end. Any delays were always proceeded by a phone call explaining the situation. We would definitely use them for our next project.

Based on my experience with Works by JD I felt compelled to write this review. Recently we had work done by another contractor that was to say the least, a nightmare. Jesse took the time to personally come over with Jim to evaluate our situation and assure us the job will be done right. Their cordial personalities and professional demeanor reflect the quality and pride in the work they provide. If there is any company I would recommend confidently and that the results will be excellent, its Works by JD!

I requested an estimate for a third floor renovation. Works was polite and professional. I decided not to hire them, so I cannot comment on their actual work.

We are very pleased with our kitchen renovation. The team was extremely courteous, talented and hard-working. The end product was fabulous. We are thrilled with our new kitchen.

Jesse and his team painted the exterior of our home and did an excellent job. He also repaired our gutter and replaced a window. We love the results.

Bathroom remodel. The guys were all very polite, courteous and work area was left really clean each day. Professional and would highly recommend them.

Hired for kitchen remodel. Project quickly spiraled out of control both in cost and scope of work. Was not kept up to date with soaring costs and was never provided access to 'technology' products to oversee the project and budget. Project was completed months overdue and significantly over budget. Will never consider hiring this company again.

I have a antique house from 1840 and I have learned that you need to hire workman that have the knowledge, craftsmanship and experience to handle these projects. Do it right the first time. Works has done many projects for me and we have another one planned for next month. They have the best quality workmanship and very professional.

We hired Jesse and his team to update our newly purchased home. We had a vision for what we wanted our house to look like, and The WORKS turned that dream into a reality. The outcome of this project far exceeded our expectations. A large portion of the project was to unify the flooring in our main living areas. We had a mixture of carpet and hardwood throughout the house. Jesse's team updated the flooring across 8 rooms, creating a cohesive flow as you move from room to room. They matched our existing hardwood floors perfectly and installed a beautiful travertine floor in our bathroom. They also did an incredible job in our living room, adding crown molding and updating our fireplace with granite. Our kitchen received a new sliding door and each room was professionally painted to perfection. We highly recommend The WORKS to anyone looking for top notch craftsmanship to transform their home.

I have had fine carpentry and painting completed by the Works. My standards are very high and The Works exceeded my expectations in completing a variety of tough jobs. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship and with the professionalism of the crew. Prices are well documented and very fair.

Once we got the scope of work figured out my small project ($25k) went as smoothly and quickly as one can expect. Glitches and surprises were handled professionally and with clear responsibility. Communications with the subcontractors was a little bit weak - I had to stay in the loop to be sure I got what I wanted, but this is necessary in any case. I definitely recommend WORKS.

Quality work, daily accountability to me through their email Boot Camp photo summaries, always reachable if there is a question or concern, worth every penny. If you have struggled with other contractors who don't return calls, who won't say when they'll be finished, and who don't end up doing beautiful work, you definitely want to switch to WORKS for your next construction project, be it big or small.

Two different bathroom renovations over the last 5 years. The quality of work and people was excellent. They were easy and enjoyable to work with and completed the projects on time and on budget. I will us them again.

Awesome work. They are the experts. Very willing to be creative to meet customer's design needs. From painting, wood repair to custom bookshelves they have the knowledge to do it right.

We hired Works to build a bump out to accommodate a gas fireplace side the new exterior and move a window. The estimate was detailed, the crew arrived on time and cleaned up each day before they left. The job was completed on time and the final cost was what was expected. We couldn't be happier with the results. We would hire The Works again.

Jesse and his team did an extensive repair to our bathroom due to winter ice dam backup that damaged the bathroom and the adjacent bedroom. Their work was high quality and the individual team members were friendly and professional. We are very grateful for the work they did on our home.

Works is a professional home repair company that has refurbished three of my homes several times during the last 20 years implementing jobs including building new dormers, replacing decks, installing new bathrooms and replacing clapboards on historic buildings. The work site is kept neat, work is well crafted and stays within budgets prepared before the job begins. Jesse manages his crews carefully. I recommend Works for all types of jobs. We recently had several projects completed by "Works", including new hardwood stairs, a new kitchen floor, a new door, and exterior rot work, and we are more than pleased with the outcome. Jesse and the crew were amazing with the way they paid attention to the detail of my home. I couldn't be happier with the end result. They found an area of my home that had bad flashing that you couldn't see from the ground but was the reason for the paint peeling in that area. Thank you Works By JD you guys are great and I highly recommend you guys.

Jesse and his team originally began a simple roof/porch ice damage repair. Soon after we signed the agreement for the porch work, my house was in a car accident. I asked if they could help me repair the wall that was damaged (inside and out). Jesse was so kind, he came out the next day to examine the damage and tape up the areas that could potentially leak if we had any rain. His team had a new temporary interior wall up within a week and began working on the outside repairs. Every evening I was emailed photos of the daily progress which was awesome. They professionally completed all of the repairs to the porch roof and ceiling as well as the exterior and interior wall that was damaged. The craftsmen that were here every day were friendly and knowledgeable and the site was cleaned up at the end of every workday. I would hire WORKS by JD again in a heartbeat and will when I'm ready for my next renovation. I highly recommend WORKS!

Im an interior designer and I am always looking for custom builders for projects. Jesse's work is well done. Love the ability to login in and check process of the project from online. The project I was going to use Jesse for fell through. He was extremely professional and was willing to work with me and my clients. Really looking forward to collaborating with him on my next project that I need to hire a builder for.

I used works for repair work to my ceilings and walls due to ice dams from this past winter. They came when they said they would for every step on this project, from looking over the problems to writing an estimate to doing the work. Each day they documented the work done with both photos and description, which was shared with me. The work was completed within the timeframe given and without any over runs. The workmen were courteous and professional. The work done was of high quality, even managing to keep everything looking like it fits into a 1690s house. They are good at problem solving. I highly recommend WORKS to anyone who needs work done in their home. This os the second time I have used them and will do so again in needs be. Laurel Deery

OK this is the scoop. I originally hired a "top rated"contractor on "somebodies" List. This contractor never came on time and when he did he smoked and talked in my driveway for 2 hours before deciding to work. He gave me bills from his subcontractor that were marked up 100%. I eventually fired him and he screamed that I was a "demon" on his way out. My plumber at the time recommended Works. I hired, Jessie, the owner of Works and his team. The decision was a great one. The Works team showed up on time. They were professional and performed excellent work. Every night they cleaned up so that I could still enjoy my house. I would strongly recommend Works. Their quality is excellent. Everything is still working and they are honest. I learned from my mistake by hiring from "somebodies" List. Instead I suggest hiring Works. I would contract with them again again without any reservation.

We hired WORKS to completely re-model our top floor. Our experience was excellent as Jesse was in constant communication with my wife and I to ensure his work matched our preferences. The quality of work was great and his team was knowledgeable, hard-working, detail-oriented, and courteous. I have been recommending Jesse to friends, family, and neighbors since my job was completed and I will continue to do so.

We live in a "carriage house" which was a barn until the early 1960's. The then owner, who converted it into a residence, took many "short cuts" which we have been rectifying since 1995 when we bought our house. The job that we hired Jesse DeBenedictis (WORKS) for was to 1) remove nearly all the cedar single siding on the exterior of the house so it could be painted. It was a lot of rotten wood. 2) They built a really cool, small roof to cover the front porch. Jesse had his architect design the structure in keeping with the style of the house. It has a copper drain at the end with rain chains on each end. 3) They designed and had a custom built new front door to replace the old double door. It's now a single door but it has wood panels on either side so it looks as big as it was (and needs to looks) and an arched top to coordinate with the arched transom. 4) Did a complete rehaul/redesign of the gutter system which was a mess and getting water into our basement. This included having a landscape company Jesse hired to dig up the front yard and install underground drain pipes so the water drains far away from the house. 5) Sanded and acid washed off the very large back deck which had been originally painted with house paint (and then repainted many times). He got down to the nice wood and put a stain on it that is a beautiful color but semi-"sheer" so you can see the knots in the wood of the deck floor. HE wasn't happy with the first color so they re-sanded the entire thing (it's a HUGE deck) and restained it. He has high standards. They started the job when we went on vacation for 2 weeks and he had a large crew here and got the re-shingleing of the....cedar shingles that make up the entire exterior done before we got back because it was a LOT of hammering. And there was a lot more little things and it took 2+ months but we knew it would. Jesse is THE most organized contractor we've ever had. His crew all have iPhones and would video what each had done that day and it was noted in a pert (?) program that he designed to manage large projects. They did come across more rot and a few other things that needed to be done but he was in constant contact with us and once he explained what was needed and gave an estimate, a change order was immediately emailed to us. There were probably 8-10 trucks in our driveway (it's big) on any given day but every night before leaving, the place was spotless. Finally, he and his crew fed and cared for Milo, our cat, when we were away for those 2 weeks! (I can't attach photos yet-the door had to be redone but I can add photos of the rest later. It's raining out but our basement is DRY!!!)

Jesse has worked on our house for years handling routine maintenance as well as major renovations -- from fixing doors to finishing a walk-up attic. He and his employees are responsible, courteous hard workers...and the work is always high quality. I recommend WORKS to anybody looking for a general contractor.
