“I contacted Laura about helping us determine if our 105 year old row house could handle a rooftop garden. Because older homes used different building methods, often without today’s building codes as reference, there was no easy way to easily tell if this could work. Laura knew the right person to contact and brought in an expert engineer to assess the situation. Both he and Laura concluded that the roof would have to be completely rebuilt in order to start the project. This was more than we had planned. In the process, however, we were able to locate the best area to create an interior access to the roof, which it presently does not have. You can image getting the AC on the roof serviced is quite a pain. From the beginning of the project, Laura was extremely professional, patient and accommodating. She knew the right questions to ask and answered all our questions thoroughly. It was such a relief to have an experienced architect managing the project and communicating all the details throughout. Most importantly, Laura helped us make a major decision with confidence. She saved us countless of dollars, time and probably nightmares had we selected someone less knowledgeable.
