“My partner and I first learned about the BiglarKinyan team from a friend who had recently completed a full renovation of their family home. They spoke so positively about the experience that it immediately caught our attention. When we later saw the house for ourselves at a dinner party, the transformation was striking; it felt like an entirely new home, with impeccable fit and finish and a style that was simple, calm, and quietly elevated. A few days later, we reached out through the website, and within hours we were on a detailed call and had a consultation booked. We initially met with Fardid, whose depth of knowledge across real estate, design, and construction was immediately evident. With his guidance, we chose to renovate and add an extension rather than pursue a full teardown and rebuild, a decision we remain very glad we made. The design process was thoughtful and methodical, allowing us to make well-informed decisions at each stage. A 3D tour helped us evaluate multiple options clearly, and the team anticipated details we had not thought to consider. Despite exploring several layouts and making changes along the way, the design phase was completed on schedule and for the exact amount originally quoted. Construction pricing was equally clear and transparent, with detailed breakdowns that helped us understand both costs and value. Fardid has an exceptional instinct for creating value through smart design choices and well-considered features. We appreciated having a partner who approached our home, project, and budget with the same care he would give his own. Our extension and full renovation took ten months to complete. The trades were true craftsmen, meticulous in their work and proud of what they were building. The construction manager kept us informed throughout, and multiple team members were consistently engaged in overseeing the project. Questions were answered promptly, often within minutes, which gave us great confidence throughout the process. We have now been living in our finished home for nearly a year and cannot find fault in either the design or the craftsmanship. The kitchen is intuitive and a pleasure to use, and the materials remain durable, low-maintenance, and as beautiful as the day they were installed. One of our favourite features is the lighting automation, which provides soft, motion-activated illumination at night without the harshness of overhead lights. We are truly delighted with our home and deeply appreciative of the care, attention to detail, and overall experience provided by the BiglarKinyan team. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a design or building project.”

“We feel incredibly fortunate to be living in a home designed by Wanda and her team. We first discovered her work through her portfolio and were immediately struck by how distinct each project was—every house clearly shaped around the people who lived in it, not a signature style imposed on top. That was exactly what we were looking for, and it proved true in our own experience. We love colour, and Wanda embraced that from the start. She helped us develop a cohesive colour palette that runs through the entire house in a way that feels intentional and sophisticated rather than overwhelming. Her taste is confident and interesting—she works thoughtfully with colour, texture, and form to create spaces that feel elevated and anything but boring. One of Wanda’s greatest strengths is her clarity. She is direct in the best way: if something doesn’t work functionally or visually, she says so, early and clearly. That honesty helped us narrow choices to the ones that truly suited our needs and prevented a lot of second-guessing along the way. She also has an exceptional ability to listen, translating our answers to her questions into designs that are both beautiful and highly functional for everyday living and entertaining. Wanda was also an effective and engaged project manager. She communicated closely with the contractors and builders, provided direction and corrections when needed, and was always reachable. When challenges came up—as they inevitably do—she addressed them quickly and pragmatically, and the project stayed on schedule through to the finishing details. Working with Wanda was genuinely a joy. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly customized design experience and a designer who combines strong vision with honesty, precision, and care.”

“Gabriele was great to work with, he listened to our requests around maximizing sunlight coming into the house and square footage use with no wasted space. He knows the city rules and ensures a smooth and quick approval for permit. We would work with Gabriele again.”
