Combining a structural plywood sub-floor panel with a predetermined, integrated radiant tubing layout (to your zoning specs), the panels are wrapped with an aluminum sheet on the top face. This places the tubing just beneath the finished floor instead of below it (as with a staple-up installation) or encased in concrete. The panels arrive on the job site with a keyed plan, numbered and ordered making the installation process quick and easy. As an architect, I like using this system as an alternative to high mass radiant concrete floor slabs because of its faster response time, lower water temps required and the seamless integration of the sub-floor and heating system into a single package. The shop drawings are crucial in getting this system right and Warmboard reliably delivers there too. I can highly recommend their service, their professionalism and their product.
