We have used Wayne Bernskoetter Construction for 25 years. We have always been impressed with their superior work, exceptional crew, and ability to improvise, as needed, in some projects. We have used them for new projects as well as remodeling. We know that the job will always be done right, as well as "on time". His company is certainly customer oriented and consistent.
The last job he did was to repair our large wooden deck. Not only did it look brand new, but great care was taken to also replace all of the wooden supports.

“Aarow Building is the best contractor I've ever used. They are doing a remodel of two bathrooms, replacing back stairs with an upstairs half bath, remodeling and combining two bedrooms into a one-room master suite that includes a walk-in closet, remodeling and combining a kitchen, dining room and living room into a great room area, replacing the front door, adding a mantel and installing a "garage-door-opener-driven" dumbwaiter. The crew all work directly for Aarow and most of them are college-educated. They are flexible and professional and they have been especially sensitive to the needs of my elderly mother who has dementia. They treat her with respect and took great pains to make her bathroom more accessible.
Jake Bruton, Aarow's owner (who succeeded his father after 30 years in the business) comes every morning and we go over what got done the day before and consult about what will happen that day. He has a great attitude and we truly make decisions together. He meets me at stores when I am struggling with choices. Jake has guided the entire project, from design to completion (which happens next week). He has an art degree, which gives him a more nuanced understanding of design.
Jake takes pride in the quality of the work and has redone many small things just to make sure we're completely satisfied (releveled a sink and tp holder, switched out a vanity, moved outlets, switched out a mirror, etc.). My only small complaint is that the project has taken longer than projected and is ending a bit close to Christmas. It's not all their fault because of unanticipated termite damage and mold. In the middle of the project, Jake had to terminate someone who was chronically late and I supported him in that, even though we lost some time. He is currently making an all-out push to make up lost time and get done, even pulling in his father to help.
I would highly recommend this contractor. The overall experience has been very positive.”

“My husband passed away a year ago. The deck and siding on the back of our home was badly in need of repair. We chose cement fiber siding to replace the Rollex siding that was chipped and dented from hair damage. We chose redwood for the deck. Gary Oberkrom worked with me, getting estimates for the material needed and helped design the deck. Since the work is aboaut half done, I cannot tell you h ow impresseed I am with the quality of work done, the neatness of the employees after working all day then cleaning up after themselves, and the friendliness of the employees. I highly recommend that company to anyone.”
